Finn has anxious behaviors, so she asked many questions to make sure his stay was comfortable when he stayed. When Finn had his overnight, she sent multiple updates with pictures. She had toys for finn that he loved and he loved relaxing on her couch. It was a home away from home. We’re very grateful it went so well.”

About: I have been taking care of Dogs, Cats, and small Reptiles for a combined 10 years. I love to snuggle on the couch, go for walks, and chase the local squirrels. I have a full time time job my hours are 5am - 1:30pm Monday - Friday I also have a small gig job that ranges in schedule, will communicate hours when necessary. “My husband and I had planned and booked a 2 week bucket list trip to Peru and were set to leave in 7 weeks. We had arranged our normal pet sitter that we’ve used for years to come and take care of our (almost) 15 year old cat, Mr. Christmas. It was around that time that Mr. Christmas stopped eating. Mr. Christmas had no real health conditions, no meds…and he was declining fast. After extensive testing, imaging, and seeing a specialist, he was diagnosed with either IBD or cancer and was going to need a lot of follow up. He was on multiple oral medications and he still wasn’t eating great. I couldn’t leave him in the house with someone who can only come see him once a day. He needed more support and our normal pet sitter couldn’t provide that for him. I was fully prepared to cancel the trip, but thought I’d go on Rover to see if anyone could match what we were looking for and if anyone would be willing to do what we were asking. We needed three, hour-long visits daily, forcing food at him, weighing him, and administering multiple daily medications. I found Melanie explaining what I was looking for, and I was really impressed that she was up early at 4:30am to message me. Melanie communicated with me each week leading up to our trip. We initially didn’t have a diagnosis and I needed vet clearance to leave him. Melanie asked many questions, and when we finally were told that he was stable enough to leave, she came over to our house with a list of questions to go over with us. He’s got a bit…a lot…of an attitude. She made sure that she didn’t approach him and waited for him to come to her. She was so thoughtful about every detail of their interaction in front of us. My husband and I both felt that even though she is a stranger to us, there was something calming about her and she was very professional. We knew Mr. Christmas would be okay, but I wasn’t expecting him to thrive the way that he did. Melanie never missed a visit. She never asked for anything from me. She communicated with me daily throughout the two weeks. She braved picking him up to put him on the scale multiple times. Mr. Christmas gained weight with Melanie. He wasn’t gaining weight with me at home, but she is just that good. Pictures of Mr. Christmas started with him sleeping alone, and then he got closer and closer to her on the couch. He even started inviting her to watch him in the litter box (I’m mortified), but he only does this with “his people”. Our dog came to visit at home a few days to see Mr. Christmas (they are besties), and Melanie had no problem cuddling our dog while visiting Mr. Christmas. To describe Melanie in one or two words, I would say she is easygoing and pays great attention to detail. She makes everything seem easy and carefree, and my anxiety really appreciated that on this trip. I got home from 15 days away from him, and he is this thick ball of fluffy happiness. He was WELL taken care of. We could have never gone on this trip without Melanie. She is a true gem and I will be referring anyone and everyone I know to her. (I don't take new pets without a previous meet and greet, unless is an emergency case) My priority is to keep your pet safe, comfortable and fully entertained while you are away. Walks around the lake in our neighorhood surrounded by nature are a must do in our daily check list (sometimes we even take them to the mall to socialize and get free treats lol) As a pet sitter I'm offering house & pet walking/sitting opportunities to families (I'm willing to travel farther and pick up them by myself)! Every dog has their own personality so feel completely free to tell me their routines ❣️❣️(feeding time, potty hours, allowed or not on bed/couch etc) Max and Cleo are Great Pyrenees, 2 extremely gentle giants that love to play and take care of any kind of animals (they are very calm but they love to bark at the begging, they get tired easily after some minutes of play time). In the other hand, Kai is a medium size old doggy, he gets very excited with new pets but a few minutes later he just ignore them and likes to go back to take long naps on the couch. I have 2 friendly indoor cats, they mostly spend the day sleeping inside the bedroom or playing with the dogs from time to time.

About: Actively working on getting my CCPDT (Certification council professional dog trainer) I have been working with dogs for four years now, But have Been around animals basically my entire life. I have successfully passed a vet tech. assistant course along with volunteering in vet clinics, and with mobile veterinarians. Not only do I having a medical side with animals. About: - I'm a passionate animal lover who works full-time from home. I have the flexibility to choose my hours so I can accommodate drop-in pet visits, dog walking and boarding. I have extensive experience doing all three. We see this as experience to make some extra money and make some new animal friends. -I live with my boyfriend, 3 kids, 14 year-old female chocolate lab (fully vaccinated and fixed), 4 year old chocolate Lab (fully vaccinated and fixed) and a 4 year old female Dachshund mix (fully vaccinated and fixed). My dogs love other dogs. They are also VERY gentle with older animals or animals with injuries. My kids are disciplined and understand how to handle all sorts of animals and personalities. -We have several environments available to accommodate different animals and personality types. We have a large outdoor enclosure, an indoor large dog kennel and a great neighborhood for dog walking. We welcome pets on the couch! I work from home so I can accommodate pet schedules easily. If I need to leave the house for any reason, I have large kennels and fenced outdoor areas if necessary. I’m very sensitive to pet’s needs. I’d like to know what a pet prefers when it comes to their daily feeding routine and their comfort with other pets.

About: I grew up with dogs and love dogs like crazy! In my house dogs are treated like honored guests. I love to snuggle with dogs and take them everywhere. In my life I've had many different types of dogs as well as a ferret, fish, a snake, and a few birds. I'm an advocate for any animal no matter what the shape size or species. I believe they all deserve a chance. I think this is just another way of helping out those people that want a sitter but can't afford Petco or other hotels.

“Leanne was very professional. Before Finn’s overnight, we had a meet and greet. She had a form for his needs and information. Finn has anxious behaviors, so she asked many questions to make sure his stay was comfortable when he stayed. When Finn had his overnight, she sent multiple updates with pictures. She had toys for finn that he loved and he loved relaxing on her couch. It was a home away from home. We’re very grateful it went so well.”

One of our dogs ( the younger one ) was more challenging than the orher and Jeremy won him over in no time ! Medications and injections were done PERFECTLY and closely observed by Qing! Because we had sitter messed up the meds before and can't risk it anymore with a non-professional.
