“Thank you, John for a wonderful overnight with Rigby! John has the perfect set up with a lovely, fully fenced natural wooded area where dogs can roam and enjoy being outside safely. John is very sensitive to a dog's needs and figured out easily that Rigby needed more space to feel comfortable. John was able to handle Rigby's odd behaviors and recognized much of it is likely due to anxiety. Rigby is a rescue who we've had since October so we are still figuring him out; he's almost 12 so we are the ones likely going to be making the adjustments versus him. Thanks to John's relaxed nature, we felt comfortable entrusting Rigby with him for overnight care. John provides quick responses and thoroughly takes notes to be prepared for his sessions with his dog guests. We will be returning for more visits in the future! Thank you, John!”

About: As an animal lover myself, I understand how stressful busy schedules can be for our fur babies (and their parents)! I have a flexible schedule and lots of belly scratches to give, so let me help you! Dogs have always been an integral part of my life and I currently have two of my own, Enzo and Bru. I have experience with puppies, seniors, handicapped dogs and have owned a variety of them all at one time or another. I have fostered shelter babies, cared for malnourished babies until they were healthy again, and cared for dogs after major surgeries as well. No dog is too small or too big. If I can help, please let me know! I currently have an open and flexible schedule with no unavailable days or times. I recently moved to Washington from Louisiana and am doing side work until school starts later this year. The safety of your pet is my highest priority (even above giving belly rubs), and I believe good communication is key for successful care. About: Growing up, my dad was allergic to anything with fur. Therefore, I had lizards, fish, birds and every stuffed animal under the sun. I always jumped at the opportunity to spend time with neighbor pets and would beg to give the dogs a bath (my neighbors loved me lol). At the age of 10 I got my first horse (who I still have, 16 years later) and at the age of 14 I got my first dog. He was a Catahoula named Kyser, and he was anything but easy! I lived out of state for 2 years, and during that time I worked at a veterinary clinic and did pet sitting for clients. I miss it! I work M-F 8am-4pm, so I am only available weekends for boarding (potential for weekdays depending on the dog/situation). I am available after work for drop ins or walks! I have a fenced yard with a large male dog named Ozzy. He loves little dogs and female large dogs. He is a bit standoffish with other large males so I am unable to watch them. I would rather play it safe. I would NEVER leave the dogs together unattended. Ozzy is crate trained and has his own room so stepping out of the house would not be an issue.

About: I am an experienced obedience dog trainer who wishes for a work-life balance helping animals!! Animals have been my passion throughout my life, ranging from reptiles, rodents, to dogs. For boarding We have dog crates that we can put in the living room or in a separate room if need be.

Family often relies on me to look after pets while out of town and I have also taken part in some pet sitting jobs outside of family that have included basic walks, day-time visits, and sometimes over-night stays. I am currently taking some college classes but still have a lot of free time throughout the week. I’m not working any other jobs either so I’m pretty flexible aside from when I need to be in class. I try to make sure pets feel comfortable with me in their homes while remaining respectful to their environment and routine. I think it’s important to remain flexible as all pets have wants and needs specific to them.
