About: I have had 2 dogs and 2 cats in the past and loved them dearly. I haven't had my own dogs recently but have enjoyed my friends dogs and cats immensely! I miss the company of pets and thought this would be an excellent way to have my pet fix by taking care of other peoples pets. Please bring your pets bed or if he or she is comfortable they are free to sleep with me and sit on any couch or chair in the house. I would love to take them for walks to the beach if you approve. I would take them for walks around this quite neighborhood and since I am retired we would have lots of time together to play and enjoy each others company.

About: I’ve had dogs around me all my life from puppies to elderly care, from changing diapers to walks, I take care of all dogs equally. I am part-time with a flexible schedule and free in the winter for now, so I am able to spend time with your fur babies any time. Late Pick Up- I understand things do happen while traveling and this requires a later pick up than anticipated, if this is the case please let me know asap and you will not be charged. But when pick up time comes around and I have not heard from you and you have not messaged me back this will incur in a 15$ late fee per each hour that you are late. Booking Policy- You must book/pay to secure your dates. Meet/Greet - If you would like to meet before the requested dates, there will be a $20 non-refundable fee that will go towards your booking. This is due to covering my time outside of the scheduled dates. Cancellation Policy- If you need to cancel a boarding request this must be done before 48 hours of your booking or it will result in a fee. This fee depends on the service total, this ensures I am compensated for late cancellations as another dog/cat could have been in your spot. I personally trained my Siberian Husky, Atlas, and completed training classes with him through Petco. Working with a high-energy and intelligent breed has given me plenty of experience with patience, consistency, exercise, boundaries, and keeping dogs mentally stimulated. For dogs who love to stay active, I have a large, securely fenced backyard with plenty of room to run and play, along with trails and walking routes nearby. For dogs who prefer a quieter stay, I’m just as happy providing a comfortable environment, attention, and companionship at their own pace. I’m also very comfortable caring for cats and understand that they often require a different approach. Whether your cat wants to follow me around all day or would rather have their own space, I’ll respect their personality and make sure their normal routine is maintained. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I’ll treat your pet like a member of the family, follow your instructions closely, and keep you updated so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in experienced and caring hands. I normally have a flexible routine that can be worked around whatever is best for you and your furball. I do ask for a few hours notice to be available. I treat your home as my own and your pets as my own. I normally like to keep things clean, cozy, and respectful. I feel like that’s the normal experience anyone wants when walking into a home or meeting someone for the first time. So why not make it any everything you do type of thing!
“Margaret is extremely conscientious and dedicated. She did say thorough call to understand my dog's behaviors and needs. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”
