My girls are 10 years apart in age are different in temperament and personality. To me, it doesn’t take a lot to care for them but I never know if that is different in the eyes of the sitter. Allison welcomed them both into her home and cared for them just as I would. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay. “We arranged for twice a day, one-hour visits. Rachael was amazing! We have 2 big purebred Maine Coon brothers and a a tiny female domestic shorthair from the shelter. She was terrific, and even had to give the female a pill every morning. When we got home the house was still tidy, the kitty boxes were clean, and all 3 of our fur babies were relaxed and happy like they had just spent time with a beloved human relative. I have 2 children, a 10 year old boy, named Orion, and my daughter Kaylee, who would have been 22 years old, unfortunately she passed away from a car accident in 2020. I grew up in a little country town in CA. And was raised with animals. My grandpa was a big animal lover, and we had everything from a baby bear cub to kittens. I was in FFA for 4 years and raised a pig all 4 years to sell at the fair. Shawn is from the Arlington area and was also raised with animals. He has raised everything from goats to kittens. We feel that your pets aren't just pets, but more like a child, and we know the importance of finding the right care for your Fur-Babies. A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. If we sound like a good fit for you, we are always happy to set up a meet and greet at our place for introductions. (We have also taken in fur-kids without meet and greets.) Drop off and pick up are as followed: Drop Offs: before 6:30am are an additional $10.00 Pick ups: after 8pm will be an additional $1.00 per minute unless prior arrangements have been made with Shawn or myself. I have more experience with dogs but I’d love to take care of your cats as well! About: I grew up with a Pomeranian and cared for him through his senior years, so I know the extra patience and gentleness older pets need. I also raised my brother’s kitten to adulthood and have dog sat for relatives and cat sat for friends and coworkers, from playful puppies to shy kitties. That flexibility also means I can adjust to a pet’s routine instead of asking them to adjust to mine. I only provide care in the client’s home, since I think pets do best staying in their own familiar environment, surrounded by their usual smells, sounds, and routine instead of the stress of a new space. When I’m there, I stick closely to the pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, and I make sure to spend real one-on-one time with them, not just handle the basics. I also keep an eye on anything that seems off whether it’s their appetite, energy, or behavior so I can flag it to the owner right away.
About: Growing up I was raised on a farm so there’s not a day where I haven’t been surrounded by animals. “Kyla and Nicholas were incredible! They were flexible and easy going with drop-off and pick-up and they listened to all I had to share about our elderly pup. We could tell Ellie had been well taken care of and she seemed indifferent to leave, which speaks volumes! She’s usually rushing out the door to be home with us. Kyla and Nicholas really gave Ellie a home away from home!”

We get regular updates, pictures, and it’s obvious how good of a time our pups had when they come home! “My dogs mean everything to me and it can be difficult to find a dog sitter who understands the assignment. Allison understood the assignment. My girls are 10 years apart in age are different in temperament and personality. To me, it doesn’t take a lot to care for them but I never know if that is different in the eyes of the sitter. Allison welcomed them both into her home and cared for them just as I would. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay. She was also flexible in drop off time as I had a brain fart when initially booking the stay. I will definitely choose Allison again for future stays!”
“Bunny’s first stay went very well for her in Samantha’s care. As a shelter adopted dog she has had a harder time adapting to being away from home but she seemed to fit right in with Samantha’s family and had a great playmate and companionship with their dog Groot. Samantha has had excellent communication, and sent a sweet little update about Bunny’s stay. We would be happy to have Bunny stay with Samantha again.”

“Sheri is a great sitter! She watched our energetic young Lab while we were on our honeymoon. She sent us photos of our dog every day, which we loved. She kept our pup busy, walking her often and playing fetch in the backyard. We arranged a meet-and-greet with her beforehand, so our dog could meet her dog, and that helped put our minds at ease. Sheri asked many questions during the meet-and-greet, and we could tell that she cared a lot. We recommend Sheri highly, and we would definitely use her as a sitter again.”
