About: Although I'm allergic to cats, I do still love them. I get my cat love in every chance I can, & I'm more than happy to pop in & be there to feed & care for your fur baby! I know cats hate new people, & I'm perfectly fine to bribe them with treats or simply feed & water them. Cats have a thing for me & I swear it's because they all know I'm allergic & have zero self control.

About: I have always had dogs! We live in the Silver Beach neighborhood and have recently lost our sweet little poodle and now that our children are grown and gone, I feel I can provide a safe, reliable, and fun space for dog parents who need a sitter. About: I've been an animal person my whole life; from originally wanting to be a vet (decided to pivot due to the sadness that probably comes from being a vet) to caring for pets of my own. About: I grew up with dogs and have had at least one of my own for the last 20 years. They truly are the best friends! We have a sweet 3-year old rescue poodle mix, Mimi, who does really well with other dogs. We'd love to have your dog or cat stay with us and join in our walks and hikes and cuddles! I have had a reactive/leash reactive dog and as much as I know they can be the sweetest pups when on their own, I can't take on these dogs anymore. It creates too much anxiety for me. I live on a street where there is a constant flow of neighbor dogs both on and off leash and the trails are packed with dogs these days so it's a guarantee we will meet other dogs while we are out and about. I work from home and love to get outside and explore the beautiful trails around Bellingham. When not out sniffing the trails me and your pet will be snuggled up relaxing together. There is a fence area for visiting pets to relieve themselves (it includes about 10 stairs). I love to hike and walk and will make sure your pet gets all the movement they need. I love to snuggle too so when not out and about you can rest assured that your pet is getting lots of love and cuddles.
About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and I have always had a love for animals. I’ve spent my summers watching friends dogs and cats while they go on vacations, I regularly check on peoples pets during the day when needed and I’ve participated in many sleepovers with my neighbors dogs throughout high school while they were out of town. About: I have taken care of my own pets and barn animals for 10+ years. My family and friends have relied me to feed, care for, walk, and play with their animals. I love dogs and cats, and have always been used to having them around. I am a full-time graduate student with a part-time job. Kona really helped me to understand the intricacies of working with an elder dog, and although he's gone now, I think about the time I spent with him regularly. Kona helped me learn how to: - Care for an elder dog - Stimulate a dog with limited ability _ Read a dogs body language and have patience with them I am currently in full time school and not working in a formal setting. I am unavailable most mid-days however I'm completely free on the weekends. The following is a schedule of my open availability: Monday: 6:00am-9:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Tuesday: 6:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Wednesday: 6:00am-9:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Thursday: 6:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Friday: 6:00am-9:00am and 3:00pm to 10:00pm Saturday: 6:00am-10:00pm Sunday: 6:00am-10:00pm As a pre-note, I wanted to say that I have an official work resume with references if you would like to see that before we meet in person. Dog Walking I do not have any supplies of my own however I have used many different types of leash and harness in the past. I am physically able and comfortable walking long or short distances at varying paces. On longer walks, I will carry water and dog bags with my the entire time. Pet Sitting I will maintain your pets schedule and follow any guidelines of being in your space. I do not offer dog sitting in my home as I live in a building with three other people, I would be more than happy to watch your dog in your home. I am open to meeting your dog with you there before the official sitting date as I know some dogs are sensitive to new people. I am comfortable feeding and entertaining your pup as I have been around dogs my entire life. I will also be aware of any emergency contact information that would be necessary in an emergency. House Sitting I will ensure the home is secure, and perform basic tasks like collecting mail, watering plants, and maintaining cleanliness. I understand that I will be in your space and am open to following any rules you might have for your home.

About: I've been an animal person my whole life; from originally wanting to be a vet (decided to pivot due to the sadness that probably comes from being a vet) to caring for pets of my own. I've always felt I've been able to understand animals better than most people. I think it stems from my ability to innately understand their non-verbal communication. Hence, the Dolittle reference. A typical day in my home is calm, comfortable, and centered around the pet’s normal routine. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, a clean space, plenty of attention, and time to play or relax depending on their personality. I’m happy to follow any specific routines you have at home so your pet feels as comfortable and familiar as possible. I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box or potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I also pay close attention to their behavior and comfort level, giving them plenty of affection when they want it and space when they need it.
