My 14-year-old hound mix Charlie crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few years and while he took a little bit of my heart with him, I really miss being with and caring for animals again. About: I have had 2 dogs and 2 cats in the past and loved them dearly. I haven't had my own dogs recently but have enjoyed my friends dogs and cats immensely! I miss the company of pets and thought this would be an excellent way to have my pet fix by taking care of other peoples pets. Please bring your pets bed or if he or she is comfortable they are free to sleep with me and sit on any couch or chair in the house. I would love to take them for walks to the beach if you approve. I would take them for walks around this quite neighborhood and since I am retired we would have lots of time together to play and enjoy each others company.

About: We have been pet people our entire 40+ years together. We have fostered pups and adopted many pups. Right now we have an older Bichon who loves all dogs! We are retired and love 2 daily hikes on our 3.3 acres in the country. Pups have a window seat to look out and enjoy sun bathing. Dogs are left alone for very short periods of time. Pups sleep near the people. Dogs love it here and we love dogs being here. Retired. I swim 3 days a week, but other than that.... I am home most every day...all day and night. We recently became a one dog home...Our old pup Nike was at least 17 years. Samson, the Bichon loves all dogs and welcomes them with open paws! Our home is safe for dogs and baby proofed for when Grandchildren visit. Safety first is very important standard we live by. We have a dog camera for when we are away at pool, or grocery store.

I own a 10 year old Great Pyrenees named Mila and she is the sweetest girl (not a mean bone in her body). Late Pick Up- I understand things do happen while traveling and this requires a later pick up than anticipated, if this is the case please let me know asap and you will not be charged. But when pick up time comes around and I have not heard from you and you have not messaged me back this will incur in a 15$ late fee per each hour that you are late. Booking Policy- You must book/pay to secure your dates. Meet/Greet - If you would like to meet before the requested dates, there will be a $20 non-refundable fee that will go towards your booking. This is due to covering my time outside of the scheduled dates. Cancellation Policy- If you need to cancel a boarding request this must be done before 48 hours of your booking or it will result in a fee. This fee depends on the service total, this ensures I am compensated for late cancellations as another dog/cat could have been in your spot. “Margaret is extremely conscientious and dedicated. She did say thorough call to understand my dog's behaviors and needs. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”

About: While I may be new to professional pet sitting, my husband and I have been dog owners for nearly 10 years, and our kids have grown up loving and caring for animals, so having pets around is a normal part of our family life. Caring for our own dog has given us a lot of hands-on experience with special dietary needs, administering medication, daily walks, and basic grooming. We understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your pet, and we will treat every pet in our care like they’re part of our own family. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my 3 kids, so we’re home quite a bit! Daily walks are already part of our normal routine, and we’ll be happy to include your pup. There will also be plenty of time for play, attention, and snuggles throughout the day. The longest we typically leave the house is about 3–4 hours, and that’s no more than twice a week. We have a fenced backyard. It is on the smaller side, but there is still plenty of room for a little play and fresh air. We also have baby gates in place to keep our toddler safely in areas where we can supervise him, and those will also be used to help keep pets safely separated when needed. We want every pet in our care to feel comfortable, safe, and at home while they’re with us.
