Barbara and Darryll are warm, caring people and very responsive to my dogs needs, plus sent regular updates and pictures throughout the stay. My dog is a Belgian Shepherd and can be anxious and at times reactive, but she was relaxed and quiet while staying here. It was ideal because they were home with her most of the time and kept a consistent routine for her. She found her place on a couch by the window so she could watch the squirrels in the yard, just like at home. I felt safe leaving my dogs with such kind people, thank you Barbara and Darryll! When she passed, I began dog sitting often because I adore dogs so much I am a current Dartmouth senior with a very flexible day-to-day schedule. About: Some of my first memories are of my dog Brownie. My mother raised Springer Spaniels for some time, and after that we had a Labrador, a Newfoundland, three Shitzu's and beloved little Scotty named Jimmy McPierce. I am a gardener by trade so I started petsitting/dogwalking professionally years ago, as a way to generate extra income during the winter months. What can I offer your pet? Personalized care. I understand that every animal has it's own personality quirks. I can work with that! If you have special commands or routines for your pet, please let me know in advance so I know how to best care for your pet. I go above and beyond most sitters because I deeply care for the emotional wellbeing of animals. How many can I watch at once? Multiple pets are not a problem, more the merrier. What if my dog or cat needs to be given medication? I have many clients whose pets require medication. I can administer shots if you have a diabetic in the family. What if my pet is high energy? I am a very active person so if your pup likes to go on runs or hikes, please let me know. I love to play with frisky cats too! I tend to be busier in the summer and therefore don't take on as many clients, but devote most of my time to caring for pets during winter months. However, if you are located somewhere close to my work in the summer, then overnights shouldn’t be a problem as long as your pet can be alone for around six hours. I will consider taking certain dogs into my home for overnights if it is the right fit. I don't own my own house, so I must be sure they will not damage anything. Cats are also welcome if they meet the same behavioral standards.

About: I have spent many overnights at homes while providing pet care. The durations of these stays have been up to a week. I do very well with following clear directions for feeding, medications, as well as other pet care needs. This includes affection and playing— I absolutely love dogs and cats! I am a teacher, which of course is a very busy job. However, I do not work over the summer, which means I have lots of flexibility in these months. I am also available during most weekends! I care for pets in my clients’ homes by following instructions regarding feeding, medications, going outside, as well as anything else that may be necessary! When owners are gone, I recognize it is best for the pets to keep their routines as consistent as possible! I respect any rules clients may have for their pets (e.g. where around they house they are allowed, any dietary limitations, and any necessary precautions to take so that the pets stay safe!)

About: I grew up with cats, both indoor and outdoor. In college I adopted my own cat who recently passed away at the age of 19. He was very healthy up until the last year during which time he needed special medication and some adjustments made to his living quarters. I recently adopted an adult cat named Angus and he has fit in with my dogs wonderfully! We had some excursions planned where we could not take our pup and Christina and Jason took good care of her. They went on walks in the woods and Honey settled in on their sofa and napped afterwards. About: I can’t remember the last time I’ve lived in a home without a dog or cat! I’ve been training my own furball who’s 10 months old and he’s doing great! I’d say most of my experience comes from watching my own animals, family’s furry friends and neighbors’ pets. I have some time on my hands in between jobs at the moment to help others out. I am currently between jobs for the next few months so I have plenty of time and flexibility to work with your schedule. Happy to fill my days with more dogs! About: When I was growing up my family always had dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own (I have a senior shepherd mix and a 1.5 year old lab mix) as well as a cat. I work with middle school students during the school year and would love to spend my summer taking care of animals. My dogs are my priority so I can’t commit to overnights but with my days free this summer I would love to do some dog walking, house sitting and cat sitting. I work full-time during the school year but I have the summers off with plenty of free time to spend cuddling with some cats. I’d love to do dog sitting as well but am not sure I can commit to overnights as I have my own two dogs at home who need me but I’m open for daily support such as walks or feeding during the owners’ work hours. My dogs use a long lead out back and aren’t left unsupervised for long. When my cat was alive he had his own separate space away from the dogs as well as easier access to food, water and litter as he was arthritic.
