“Rocky seemed to really enjoy his overnight. The icing on the cake we believe was his opportunity to play with Brooke's nice dog and her young son! Thanks for the picture!”

“Our dog had a fabulous stay with Mahayla! Since it was our first time, Mahayla offered to come to our home to get to know our pup before caring for her the next day. They hit it off immediately and Mahayla explained her background in animal/dog behavior studies and reassured us that all would go well... and it did! Our pup had a blast trail hiking and also just relaxing at Mahayla's home. Mahayla clearly understands and loves dogs, and it was clear that she was focused on our dog's enjoyment, comfort level and care. She was also focused on our needs as the owners. Leading up to care day she was extremely responsive. On care day she sent photos and updates. A perfect stay...thanks, Mahayla!”

“Ericca took great care of my dad's dogs while he was in the hospital. She was able to schedule with me last minute, over a holiday weekend, and extended the boarding by a day too. She was friendly, flexible, and kind. Recommended!”

“Bodie and Knox were so tired after their week long stay. They just about didn’t move for nearly two days. We are so grateful for accepting them on fairly short notice. We will definitely bring the boys back in the future. I’m more than pleased with the service and accommodations. Also a timely communicator. Thank you!”

“When I picked up Rocky at the end of our visit, he was calm and happy and not particularly excited to see me. This is the highest possible praise for Nicole. Normally my dog is an anxious mess after not seeing me for even a few hours, so he must have felt safe and been extremely well cared-for. Pick up and drop off were seamless, Nicole sent just enough pictures and updates. I highly recommend her.”

“Irene has been such a great find in the Berkshires! She always gives helpful communication with each stay, and Ruby seems to love her time with Irene (and her sweet dog Goldie). Thanks for all of the care that you give to Ruby - we'll see you soon!”

“Christian is great! He is patient, chill, and very good with dogs! I loved that our dog wanted to go back inside with him when we had to leave; that is a great sign!”

“Yenifer took excellent care of my dog. He was so happy with her! She made sure she communicated everyday with us during the stay, sent us pictures and updates. We are very happy with her services and would strongly recommend her. Thank you, Yenifer.”

“Jennifer was amazing while we were away. She messaged daily with updates and pictures of my fur baby. She put me at ease so I could enjoy my trip and not worry. Duke had an amazing time. I will def book again with Jennifer and recommend her to everyone as we couldn’t be happier by choosing her.”

“Jess was so sweet. Our dogs were immediately interested in getting to know Jess and felt comfortable going with her into her home. Thankful for Jess’ flexibility during our pups’ stay since we had some last minute changes to our schedule. Thank you, Jess!”

About: I waitress, have taken care of seniors and am a certified yoga instructor. I have had cats, dogs, chicks, fish, hamsters. I currently do not own any pets. Pets to me are precious friends who are to be taken care of like children. With full attention, support and love. I work from home so I am able to provide that kind of care. I work from home (virtually) and can accommodate boarding weekdays and weekends. I keep a clean and tidy home and have a gorgeous park very close by. Pet care fits in my routine as I used to have a cat until recently. I care for pets with respect and integrity. Showing them love and care. Keeping them and the area around them clean. Accommodating to their needs by always keeping an eye for out for them.
“This was our first time leaving our Dottie with a sitter, and Tetiana took the most thoughtful and thorough care of her. She kept me updated every day with messages, photos and videos of how Dottie was doing, and we could absolutely tell how happy our girl was to the point where I wasn’t sure she’d want to come back home with us! I can’t recommend Tetiana enough, and will absolutely use her again!”

“I used Nicole to watch my cat, Chloe, who had just lost her litter mate of 8 years and this was going to be my first trip leaving her alone without her brother. Nicole did so well Chloe even though Chloe is super shy and skittish, she got her to come out !! I would definitely recommend her for your pet-sitting job!! She’s a super sweet human being ❤️!!”

About: I have my own kitty who I pamper with wet and dry food everyday, yummy jerky treats and she’s spoiled with toys galore. I trim and file her nails since I have a sofa but she’s such a sweet girl she knows not to!! Love felines, really the amount of times I’ve walked into the local Home Depot and got sucked into hours of sitting on the floor to interact with them is, well, everytime I go in there. I really have no difficulty with cats and their varying personalities.

About: I’ve had cats as pets, as well as taken care of them since i was little so they definitely have a special place in my heart! i have two right now, and one of them has severe allergies while the other has diabetes, so i’m no stranger to giving medicine!
About: I’ve taken care for more than a handful of animals before! I have worked for two farms in my life so far. I have also always grown up with having dogs, cats, and even hamsters and Guinea pigs! I am a mom of 2 little ones but just recently moved so I am in between jobs and can work with you on times! I am available most days and a good portion of the day, as the kids go to daycare! I am a very good listener and fast learner. I love following a guideline and care so much about your animals! I can’t wait to meet your pets!
About: Hi! I’m Maura, a high school English teacher who has lived and worked in the Berkshires for 19 years. I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals of all kinds, and my goal is simple: to provide safe, personalized care so you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your pets. Now accepting bookings for my private pet guest house, Booked and Boarded! Unlike a traditional kennel, I board only one pet family at a time, allowing your pets to enjoy a calm, low-stress stay with individualized attention. The guest house opens directly into a fully fenced backyard, giving dogs plenty of opportunities for safe outdoor play while enjoying a cozy, home-like environment. The space is also designed with (indoor) cats in mind! Booked and Boarded is a perfect space for pets (and owners!) who want a quieter, more personal boarding experience. In addition to private boarding, I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and small farm sitting throughout the Berkshires. Whether you need someone to check on a new puppy, care for a senior pet, or manage a small farm while you’re away, I’d love to help. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, gerbils, rats, large aquariums, horses, cows, goats, and pigs. In addition to caring for my own animals, I have experience managing an equine boarding facility with 19 horses on the property and am comfortable handling a wide variety of animal personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I am experienced with: • Puppies and kittens • Senior pets • Oral medication administration • Basic trick training and potty training • High-energy dogs • Shy or anxious animals • Horses and livestock requiring daily care routines I also offer red light therapy sessions for pets, both small and large, upon request. When your pet stays with me at Booked and Boarded, you can expect plenty of communication. I send regular photos, videos, and updates throughout their chapter with me, and every boarding guest goes home with a personalized treat bag and a fun “report card” highlighting their time at Booked and Boarded. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave beloved pets behind when traveling. That’s why I prioritize communication, reliability, and individualized care so you can feel confident your pets are safe, comfortable, and genuinely enjoying themselves while you’re away. Whether you’re visiting the Berkshires for a weekend, heading out for a day of boating, skiing, or sightseeing, or leaving town for a longer trip, I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own. Please feel free to reach out with any questions about services, availability, or your pet’s specific needs. I look forward to meeting you and your animals! I’m always running errands for my pets, spending time with my pets, or I’m at the barn with my horse. Taking care of the needs of my own pets is one of my top priorities, and I can easily work your furry friend into my schedule! It’s important that we discuss your specific expectations and needs as a pet owner/parent to ensure that you get the best care! Every pet owner and pet is different and I want to tailor my approach to what your pet is used to and comfortable with.
“When our cat walked right up to Zhanara and rubbed against her leg, we knew she was a good fit. He doesn't do that for every newcomer. He has some medical needs that were not a problem. Zhanara shared her knowledge and love every day she was here. She respected our home leaving it just as we had left it. We will definitely be asking her to help us again.”

“I can’t recommend Bella enough! From the moment I met her, I knew my pups were in great hands. She took the time to get to know my dogs and their routines, which made me feel so at ease. Throughout my time away, Bella sent me daily updates and adorable photos of my pups playing and enjoying their time. Each picture captured their happiness—tails wagging and big smiles! It was such a relief to see them so content and well cared for. She truly went above and beyond, providing not just care but also love and attention. I will definitely be booking Bella again for future trips. If you’re looking for someone reliable and caring, look no further!”

“Davis was a wonderful sitter for our pup, Beau. We left Beau with Davis, her partner, and her pups for a few hours while we went to a museum and Beau seemed perfectly content when we picked him up. Thanks, Davis!”

“Ericca was wonderful with our new dog, Arlo. Arlo is a rescue and he is reactive to other dogs and Ericca knew just how to handle him. Arlo spent the entire day with Ericca and he had a great time. We will definitely be working with her again!”

“Irene was an excellent sitter for our boy Aslan. He got along great with her dog, and she sent many photos of how well the two puppies got along! Our boy came back to us happy and a little tired from so much play, we highly recommend Irene and will be excited to have her watch our boy in the future!”

“Tetiana and her family have a loving, welcoming home and environment. We were met with smiles, shown around and we felt very comfortable leaving our pup. The communication during the booking process was great, as I had a number of questions. Tetiana was responsive and thorough. We found written Q&A better than a call. They were flexible with how we prefer care, food, exercise, rest, etc. We received nice pictures, videos and notes ... even though our stay was only 2 days. We will use Tetiana again when we have a need in the Berkshires, and I'd feel comfortable with longer if needed (and agreed upon). Each member of the family was fast friends with our dog.”

“Yenifer was a rare gem!! I was in town last minute with my dog, and she was amazing to accommodate Pancake for doggy day care with no notice. She kept me up to date and Pancake was so excited to see her the second day!”

“Sean was super easy to book and work with. Very responsive and easy drop off/pick up. He kept me updated throughout the day on how Beau was doing and sent pictures/videos of what a great time they were having. Would recommend for sure!”

“Jess took great care of my pup and sent me lots of pics and updates throughout the day! She has a sweet dog, and her dog and mine played together all day. Uva came home fed, healthy and tired! Thank you Jess!”

“Letícia took such great care of Bomi!! She was incredibly kind and patient with her. Bomi usually needs some time to warm up, especially when we leave her, but Letícia was so understanding of our dog’s needs. She kept us updated with pictures and Bomi looked so comfortable and happy! Her dog, Malu is super sweet too! We highly recommend Letícia if you are looking for a sitter 👍”

“Devin was super cool and caring. He made me very comfortable by taking care of my 14 month old high energy German Shepherd. He was always available for a call or text and kept me informed about my pups activities during the day care. Will definitely use again, he has the love towards pets, also has a great fenced yard and good facilities to get the energy out from the pups. I am happy and pleased to have used his services.”

“John and his two very sweet doggies were wonderful with our skittish girl, Chloe. John's calm demeanor is exactly what dogs respond well to. He took lots of pictures of playing and walking, putting us at ease. When we came to pick her up, she had become part of the pack. Great sitter!”

“Really kind and communicative! Iris took good care of my dog while I was away -- I think she really liked having someone new pay attention to her, haha. Very flexible with scheduling and responded quickly when I needed help with walks/check-ins on fairly short notice; I'm very thankful Iris was willing to work with me! ^^”

“Juno absolutely loved Britt on first site, which is rare for her! Britt is a true dog person and it gave me such piece of mind that she was taking care of my pup! Would definitely book again!”

“Court has been great with our two very different dogs: one who is a rescue and very sensitive (especially with new people), and one who is a 1 yr. old yellow lab with lots of energy. Court is patient and mild mannered when needed with our special dog and we are so appreciative. She communicates well and can be counted on.”
About: I've taken care of animals all shapes and sizes since I can remember. Growing up my only job was to make sure my fur babies were fed and loved unconditionally. I would go to a friend of the family and help her with her pit bull and (several) greyhounds. I've worked at kennels from a young age and have had my own share of birds, mice, fish, hamsters, Guinea pigs, and chinchillas as well as dogs and cats. The home has only been without pets for around 7 months now and I would love to dedicate some of my time to people who need genuine love and care for their fur babies! I do not have a job, I am around all of the time! I can be there any time day or night! You name it. I do not have a fenced in yard, however all of the neighborhood doggies are very very friendly. I have a decent sized yard and live next to multiple fields and grassy areas.
About: I’ve taken care of dog of many sizes and health conditions, I have had a cat for 9ish years and have cared for friend and families dogs for years. I am a student, I am relatively free but lots of work to do! I like to go on walks already! I am able to be flexible. I know how to feed animals and care for them, can follow special instructions as I know they are important. As much as I would love to care for your fur baby at my home, I cannot.
About: ive had a couple of dog growing up in my childhood a sweet old black lab and a super crazy dingo.. in my free time after school and during summer i used to walk them, no amount of walking could satisfy my dingo.. id have her pull my bike to get all her energy out since we didnt have any closed in areas she could run off in.. ( i dont do this anymore! i realize its not very safe! she absolutely loved it for sure though) i love pups big and small old and energetic theyre all very unique and id love some new friends to get me out of the house. id ask you beforehand of course if youd be okay with them swimming, theres a pond i can bring them to after walking to cool off at. our backyard is fenced! i have two cats, so id like to know how your dog reacts around small creatures, if they cant be in contact i can always but them into a room while the dog is over. most likely theyd be outside! lots of shade and id keep em well hydrated and happy :3 i currently have been on a job hunt since what feels like forever, my schedule is very. very open.. since i dont have a car, drop off would be ideal, if your close enough to walk to i can do that too! weekends are the only time id be able to pick up your pooch my cats get their waters filled and cleaned almost daily, lots of love of course and are very spoiled. i dont have any dogs at the moment, so of course id love to chat about what youd expect and need for your lovely pup! im good with communication and friendly, special needs id be extra attentive to. im very good at remembering small things, though id still write em down incase!
About: 5 years ago my family had gotten a puppy (jack Russell, beagle, terroir, Pitt bull mix). My puppy is a big baby, and is scared of everything. From flies to the wind. But he also can be a bit mean and over protective about his belongings. I was able to find ways around him being overly protective about his things. I was the main person to get up early to take him out in the mornings, throughout the day, and at night. We then a year later got his sister from a different litter from the same mom and dad. She is the complete opposite. She is a loving dog. She always wants to cuddle and loves to play and have all the attention to her. Since I was little I’ve always loved dogs. I love playing with them and walking with them. I’m a full time nanny but have a lot of free time on my hands while the kids are at school and their activities. I’m looking for some occasional work and maybe part time opportunities. I would always make sure the pet has food and water. Make sure the environment around them is safe. And make sure to attend their needs in any way that is needed.

“Deborah is fantastic!! Deborah was amazing with Koda. She was prompt and flexible with my last minute booking. After our meet and greet, Koda immediately clicked with her and I felt really comfortable spending the day away. She sent so many cute pictures and i came home to a happy and tired pup :) would absolutely book again and so happy we found her”

About: Loving animals runs in my family! My mother is an animal rescue volunteer and growing up we owned 6 cats and one dog. There were always strays and foster pets going in and out of our home. I absolutely love animals and understand them very well. I know how to take care of them and love them the way they want to receive love. I recently quit my job for my well being and I’m taking a break so I’d love to fill my time hanging out with animals! I am leaving my job as a hair stylist to pursue my true passions in art and healing. I will have a completely open schedule in a week and I’d love to fill it with another passion of mine, Animals :D I have a nice sized apartment and am a 1 minute walk to a large dog friendly park! I have a car so I can go whenever I am needed. I listen to animals and what they need to assure they are always safe and well taken care of. I consider myself a very reliable person.
“Renee was an absolute pup saver for me on my Tallahassee work trip! I got stuck in meetings all day, feeling terrible for my pup who was stuck in the hotel room. I was weary of using a stranger to care for my pup but I read some reviews on Renee and decided to hire her on here. She was so responsive and pleasant right off the bat. Renee went to my hotel, got my pup and took him to the dog park while sending pictures the whole time. She certainly eased my anxiety and gave my boy a couple awesome adventures! Thanks so much Renee you were so good to my pup!”

About: I’ve had pets since I was about 4 years old, and am experienced with caring for cats and dogs. Any needs they have, I will take care of them all - from simple company when you're at work, to walks, giving meds and overnight stays! I have experience training puppies too, from potty training to the classic "stay", "sit", "come", "leave" etc. commands. I have a large dog myself so size of your pet is no issue. Anything you're unsure about, shoot me a message! I work full time at a school but am free weekdays after 2pm until around 10pm. On weekends I am free from Friday afternoon until Monday morning so I can do overnight stays too if needed. Depending on the care required, I will feed pets, give them meds, take them outside, play games/fetch/etc., brush them, empty litter boxes and so on. I have had several cats and dogs of my own and cared for many more, so I am comfortable with adjusting to their different personality types.

“Both of our dogs were calm and relaxed after a 4-day stay. James was attentive to all of their needs and was very kind. His roomates were a bonus, because someone was almost always around to hang out with our dogs! Thanks James, we will be back!”

“John was fantastic with our two pups. It was obvious he spent a lot of time with them and the daily photos were wonderful. We will definitely use John again should the need arise and we highly recommend him.”

“Laura sat for our black lab Hazel for over a week during the holidays. Her care, attention and communication were all detail oriented. Laura arranged a meet and greet prior to the boarding to make certain it was a good fit for our dog and her. During the stay Laura’s was in communication each day with adorable photos of their adventures. At the end of the week, our plane was delayed and luckily Laura was able to accommodate us by keeping Hazel an extra night. We were so grateful. When we picked her up she was happy and content. We even got a Polaroid as a reminder of her stay. Thank you Laura for welcoming our fur baby into your home. I would highly recommend Laura.”
