About: Even though this is my first year being a sitter, I’ve had pets in my whole life so I know how to have really good pet care and I also love animals over humans so I have a lot of experience with taking care of animals no matter what. Also, I am majoring in a degree to where I could graduate to go take care of animals in the future! It helps me experience and help me for my future, and it also gives me a time to get stuff off of my brain after classes, kinda like a reset of my day! I make sure they eat when they want to take them out when they need to whether it means just taking them out in the front yard to play, use the bathroom or to go on a walk. About: I have been a veterinary technician in Montpelier for a little over 7 years. Caring for all animals, big and small. Hopeful veterinarian one day. I work as a veterinary technician full-time. About: My schedule is flexible so I'm able to spend time throughout the day with your fur baby. I'm active and happy to play fetch for hours! I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. My schedule changes from week to week but feel free to contact me to double check my availability no matter the season! I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. About: When I was growing up my family always had dogs and cats. I have two dogs of my own (I have a senior shepherd mix and a 1.5 year old lab mix) as well as a cat. I work with middle school students during the school year and would love to spend my summer taking care of animals. About: As a long-time dog lover, I’ve had the privilege of caring for countless pups. Backyard plays, long wooded walks and plenty of enrichment are just a few ways that make my care is special. I am currently a full time artist with a flexible schedule. I actively care for my own pup with lots of play and walks. Any pup would get the same attention and consistent care. About: I have taken care of my family and friend’s dogs for years. I just found out about Rover from a friend who’s been on Rover for some time and she’s told me just how fun and rewarding it is, so I am giving it a go! I have a Yellow Lab of my own “Jader” who loves going for hikes and swimming in my pond. Currently I am very flexible and would be able to provide walks, pet sitting, and potentially be willing to board on a case by case basis. I look forward to where this Rover journey takes me! At the time I am in flight school which is part time and I have quite a bit of flexibility. So days and evenings are doable. I live on a 100 acre horse farm at the end of quiet dirt road so there is very little traffic. When you come by for the first time you will think this is doggy heaven. My Lab Jader is very easy going and gets along with most dogs. Of course before entertaining any boarding I would have to see how Jader gets along with your dog. Other than that I am used to walking and hiking in public areas so walking the rec path or going up the Pinnacle would not be an issue.
About: Some of my first memories are of my dog Brownie. My mother raised Springer Spaniels for some time, and after that we had a Labrador, a Newfoundland, three Shitzu's and beloved little Scotty named Jimmy McPierce. I am a gardener by trade so I started petsitting/dogwalking professionally years ago, as a way to generate extra income during the winter months. What can I offer your pet? Personalized care. I understand that every animal has it's own personality quirks. I can work with that! If you have special commands or routines for your pet, please let me know in advance so I know how to best care for your pet. I go above and beyond most sitters because I deeply care for the emotional wellbeing of animals. How many can I watch at once? Multiple pets are not a problem, more the merrier. What if my dog or cat needs to be given medication? I have many clients whose pets require medication. I can administer shots if you have a diabetic in the family. What if my pet is high energy? I am a very active person so if your pup likes to go on runs or hikes, please let me know. I love to play with frisky cats too! I tend to be busier in the summer and therefore don't take on as many clients, but devote most of my time to caring for pets during winter months. However, if you are located somewhere close to my work in the summer, then overnights shouldn’t be a problem as long as your pet can be alone for around six hours. I will consider taking certain dogs into my home for overnights if it is the right fit. I don't own my own house, so I must be sure they will not damage anything. Cats are also welcome if they meet the same behavioral standards.
