“Toffee, my 3-year old golden retriever, had a good time staying at Joe’s place. She looks happy and healthy when we picked her up and she almost did not want to leave! 😅 It was wonderful to see Toffee made some friends while staying with Joe (16 days!). It is not easy to find a good pet sitter or a boarding service provider here around Upper Valley. We really appreciate the services Joe and his partner provided.”

Highly recommend!”

“Michele was the perfect host for our goldendoodle while we were in the area for graduation weekend. Based on the photos she sent me, he appeared to enjoy looking at the wildlife out her windows, going for walks with her dog and stretching out on her sofa. Michele was very flexible about drop off and pickup times as well. A great experience for everyone!”

“Hannah saved my wedding day!! Our scheduled dog sitter (not from Rover) cancelled on us two days before our out-of-state wedding, and Hannah not only filled in last minute, she might be our pups favorite person💖 She is incredibly warm, they took to her immediately, and we were so grateful 🙏 Got lots of photos of them just relaxing around her and were able to enjoy our wedding day stress free. Communication was key in coordination for both sides and Diana was extremely flexible (Thanks so much). When I picked my dogs up they were properly harnessed, fed and ready to go. I definitely recommend this home of dog lovers for your fur babies.”
About: I have had dogs my whole life and am happy to care for your doggo. I currently have a 1 year old Golden Retriever and am well versed in both puppy and senior care. I am a full time teacher on summer break, so have availability to fit your needs over the summer. I’m a full time teacher on summer break, so have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve! I am home most of the day with occasional trips to the gym/store. I have a fenced yard and available sidewalks/trails for walks. I do have a 1 year old energetic Golden Retriever who is very friendly (maybe too friendly for some dogs) and a 2 year old Persian kitty who is skeptical of new animals
“I felt very comfortable, safe, and secure with my dog Tubbs in Abbie’s care. She has great communication, is kind and caring, and Tubbs was in the best mood when I picked him up (I’m not certain he wanted to leave!). Highly recommend, will definitely rebook!”

“Sarah, Ben and Bean are the BEST. Attie had the most incredible time playing with Bean and I loved the updates and pictures. Sarah knew how nervous I felt leaving him for nearly 3 weeks and was so considerate and kind. Attie came home tired and he seems like he misses Bean and Sarah already. Love that we have found such an incredible family to leave Attie with when we are away ❤️”

“Harry had a blast with Katherine and her fur babies! I really appreciated Katherine welcoming Harry into her home as if he were her own and providing me updates on how he was doing throughout the weekend!”

“Josephine did a wonderful job. She took care of our cat Charlie for two weeks and sent daily great updates and pictures. She also took care of our two fish tanks, reliably checked when the feeder blocks ran out earlier than expected and fed the fish with additional flakes as needed. She responded very timely to all texts. When we got home everything was perfect. Will definitely want to hire her again for our next vacation.”

“Maria provided such great care of my cats. Her love of and enthusiasm for cats is so clear, and she wanted to make sure my cats had a good experience while she was visiting (eg asking about what specifically they enjoy doing for play during visits). She gave detailed information about each visit. I had great peace of mind being on vacation knowing she was caring for them!”

“Katherine is a wonderful, reliable sitter for cats and dogs. My household has only had positive experiences with her care and are deeply appreciative for everything she’s helped with.”

About: I have volunteered at animal shelters in WA and worked alongside animal behavioralists to read canine and feline body language to gauge interests, anxiety, and pain levels. I love being able to help my client’s animals reach relaxation without being over stimulated. I’m versed in enrichment activities that alleviate stress and help the animals reconnect with their playful, trusting side! I love to make animals feel like they have a new trusted friend while their pet parents are away and to provide care that makes their owners feel like they're with family. (Disclaimer: I have a full time job working graveyard. Please keep this in consideration if you're looking to book in-home overnight pet-sitting. Thank you! Feel free to message me questions.) I live near Hanover and have reliable transportation. I have no conflicting agenda items or holidays in the near future. I do gig work to help support my best friend going to Dartmouth and have a flexible, open schedule. I try my best to plan outings with pets when the weather is best for their paws and especially if the dog is a breed prone to heat or breathing issues. I have had animals all my life of various breeds, ages, temperament, and unique needs. I have knowledge and experience through my animal shelter work on what silent pain signals or distress can look like in dogs and cats. I've administered medications before but would prefer to let the animal get to know me before providing injections. My preference is to have a meet and greet with your pet(s) ahead of the scheduled outing so they may acclimate to me and to have a brief in-person discussion to go over the scope of the service you wish to see.

“Sean was great with our 9 year old aussie/corgi. We travelled from Canada and visited Vins Bird rehab Centre while Sean took care of our dog "Willow". Sean responded quickly and was easy to communicate with. He sent updates, pictures, location, and timings for return. Willow had a great time under his care. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Sean again.”

“Nora took such good care of our fur babies while we went home for the holidays. She was so responsive and took the cutest photos of our kitties. She was very thorough and made sure they were comfortable and happy. We would love to have Nora watch our cats again!”

“Caitlin was prompt and attentive. I appreciated the daily photos. Max looked relaxed and content. It was great to have our senior kitty looked after in our home, since he doesn’t like to travel at all.”
“Kyra was wonderful! She checked in on my cat while I was away for vacation and it was so reassuring knowing that he was in such good hands. She was very proactive in asking about leaving the air on for him (as while I was gone there was a heat wave!) and made sure he had plenty of water when she saw him. I really appreciated that she spent time playing with him and showing lots of affection. Thanks, Kyra!!”

“Armani was caring and thoughtful during the visits. My cats enjoyed her company and she even did dishes for me voluntarily. I was grateful that she was able to sit my cats during Christmas. Will book her again when I need sitting in the future”

“We came to vacation in Nags Head and needed a sitter for our young (and recently adopted) dog while we went to dinner. Meagan did a great job keeping her calm, took her out a few times and got her to eat (which we had also been struggling with). Would book again!”

“Julia did a wonderful job taking care of our cat, Arthur. She went the extra mile and made sure everything was clean and he was well fed and cared for. We would definitely book Julia again!”

About: If my rates are an obstacle in caring for your pet then I’m happy to provide a sliding scale and have a discussion upon request. Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. I have basic experience with dog training and I personally believe that dogs thrive in structured and predictable environments. I love exercising and having fun with dogs, too! I have availability to help you with your pup or cat! Depending on the health of your pet I will socialize and exercise your pet's body and mind and of course offer any snuggles that are welcomed. I love exercising animals as much as it is tolerated by them. I currently work per diem as a staff nurse in Lebanon NH which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for pets. I am happy to abide by your house rules and expectations for your pet(s). I enjoy walks to dog parks, trails, playing in fenced yards and practicing obedience and tricks!
About: Hi there! I am 30 and I live in Springfield, VT and work in WRJ. So my radius is quite large. I have a 6 year old golden pup (as seen in photos) named Burton and also take care of my in laws cat, Middy. I grew up in Vermont on a small farm with 3 dogs (Pitbull and labs) and 2 cats. I currently have a pup, Burton. Who gets along with all dogs and people. Depending on your pets personality, I will be sure to be active with them. Our pup Burton gets 4 walks a day and typically goes for a swim once a day at a nearby kayak launch. I fully believe pets should have a significant amount of play + active time whether its a walk or drop in visit, they will have fun. I do work in WRJ from 8-5pm but I do have lunches available and we do have flexible time. Typically at lunch or after work I will have time to give them a good active walk/run. I am a very active person and believe all pups should have an active lifestyle as well. I only do walks + drop ins, most of my care will be outside! Love hiking, long walks and running. I have experience with running a husky every other day for 2-3 miles due to the high energy.

“Enzo loved his time at Joe’s for daycare. He came home super tired and played with the other pups quite a bit it seems. Lots of photos and info on his Rover card was awesome!”

“Juno had a fantastic stay with Kevin & Inez last week. He is comfortable when he knows that the humans he hangs out with understand dogs and instantly connected with Inez. He came home and was super relaxed and happy (and tuckered out from the walks and spending time with other canine friends). He is looking forward to his next stay :-).”

“Sean did an amazing job watching my dog, Nala, while we were exploring the Quechee VT area. We had lunch at the Simon Pearce restaurant (no dogs allowed) and so I dropped Nala off at his lovely home and she had a great time. She even got to go swimming! I highly recommend Sean to anyone in or visiting the area. This can be especially helpful if you want dog free time at a nice restaurant or to go shopping in town.”

“Greta provided great care for our 11 month old puppy. She has a wonderful property for active dogs and takes them on several walks a day. She was very communicative throughout our pets stay and provided pictures and updates several times a day. We would not hesitate to use her services again. Thank you for the care.”

“Jessica did great with the dogs and keeping me updated! They went on multiple hikes a day and came back to me tired. She was also very understanding and flexible surrounding pick up and drop off times”

“Diana and Jeff were very accommodating. The meet and greet went well and even though they already had a boarder they made sure their time was focused for my two dogs.

“Enzo can be a shy guy and a little nervous but Lauren did everything to make him feel comfortable including checking in with me, which I truly appreciate. He came home happy and tired and we would use Lauren again!”

“Nora took WONDERFUL care of our two cats Robin and Stu. Frequent updates, direct & thorough communication, and most of all, in the pictures we could tell that they were super happy while under her care :). Planning 100% to reach out to Nora again when we need pet sitting.”
