“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: Even though this is my first year being a sitter, I’ve had pets in my whole life so I know how to have really good pet care and I also love animals over humans so I have a lot of experience with taking care of animals no matter what. Also, I am majoring in a degree to where I could graduate to go take care of animals in the future! It helps me experience and help me for my future, and it also gives me a time to get stuff off of my brain after classes, kinda like a reset of my day! I make sure they eat when they want to take them out when they need to whether it means just taking them out in the front yard to play, use the bathroom or to go on a walk. I also love spending time with my animals and other peoples animals, so I’ll take the time to play with them inside if needed and give them all the love in the cuddles needed!

My husband and I were faced with a situation where our usual hosts were not available and we needed to leave our Boston terrier in new hands for a month; also the longest duration we were separated from our baby to date. Needless to say, this was not an easy decision for us. From the moment we corresponded with Julian and Jocelyn are fears were put to ease. They are extremely professional and responsive to emails and texts. We were able to schedule a meet and greet and were impressed by the questions they asked to understand our dogs needs and personality. As soon we entered their home, Layla felt very comfortable and relaxed. She was able to quickly pick up on Julian and Jocelyn's calm and warming energy. At one point our Layla made herself comfortable on their couch and completely settled right in. While we were traveling we received beautiful photos (these really are professional grade pictures) of Layla and warm updates about their time together, which we loved. In the pictures we could see how calm and relaxed Layla was. Julian and Jocelyn also went out of their way to keep Layla active and even bathed her when they felt she needed it. They were also very flexible with changes to our schedule. Working with Julian and Jocelyn was an absolute pleasure and knowing our dog was in such good hands made our trip so much less stressful. We highly recommend Jocelyn and Julian and will definitely leave Layla in their great care in the future. I know she misses them already! Thank you Jocelyn and Julian! About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals from farm animals to house pets. I have owned many dogs and cats in the past and now. I currently have 2 huskies and 2 cats of which I completely take care of. I also have work experience when I had a job in Texas working at a doggy daycare, I learned basic training methods along with gaining the proper experience to understand dog behavior. I have a relatively open schedule, I do work two other part time jobs one being mostly night time shift and the other is whenever I choose to work. Please know I try my best to help anyone even last minute requests, but sometimes I may not be available if asked to late! I always am happy to try to be available for everyone. This makes me pretty much 24/7 available, but it’s usually best if you schedule at least a few days to a week in advance. Prices for all of my services are not negotiable, depending on the service/details. To ease your comfort I offer a free meet-and-greet visit before any paid service is handled. This isn’t required before services, and I’m usually confident enough to go without one, but it can help answer any questions you have and ensure your pet is comfortable with me. If issues were to arise while I take care of your pets their safety is the first priority to me. I will be gentle and patient with any pet cared for.

Before we left: Sukhpran came to meet our cat, who forms very quick decisions about new people; he took to her immediately and didn't blink when she gave him his injection. While we were away: She sent photos or a video during each visit. She didn't just feed and leave, she took time to play. She also took care of my plants. When we returned: Our cat was calm and happy, and my plants were healthy and huge! Mail and packages were neatly stacked, litter robot was given an extra empty, so we didn't have to when we returned. “Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. For us- that says it all!”

About: I have been an animal lover and owner for over 30 years. My 15 year old Lab is truly my best friend. He is used to other animals and very laid back. I provide lots of patience, affection and exercise for all animals. We go out 3-4 times per day for walks and potty breaks. Always active and attentive. Please let me know about anything your pet needs to feel safe and happy. The more information the better. I can handle separation anxiety and other behavioral issues but prefer to know ahead of time. Please make sure your pet is treated for fleas/ticks. If your baby has a history of indoor urination, please provide diapers/belly bands. Happy to accommodate all ages and stages. I truly enjoy the company of animals and also like to walk often. Being in the park and exercising helps lift my spirits. My dog has improved my life in many ways and he makes me a better human. Pets are given a cool, calm and comfy environment. Plenty of walks and free access to filtered water. (Treats also, if owners request/permit). I am almost obsessively neat and always treat my customers’ homes with respect. My goal is to be as unobtrusive as possible. Scrupulous about keeping your home secure while you are away. I ask that you leave clear and detailed instructions to maintain a safe & secure home. Also, for long term services, I do not mind bringing in mail, putting trash/recycle bins out.

Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. The clients I sit for like the fact they can contact me last minute and I'm generally able to adjust my schedule to be available. I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! I'm able to work from home most days of the week, this allows me to be available for all pet needs - morning, lunch time, and after work walks are a part of my daily schedule when we have a dog to take care of. Lots of mental stimulation and training exercises throughout the day to keep them out of trouble helps too! I have a 9 year old cat in the house that tends to keep to herself in the bedroom when there's a dog around. Our home is on 5 acres of land with a big yard to do lots of sniffing around. About: I have always been around dogs and other pets since I was a baby, and have always loved and cherished them. As an adult we have raised and taken care of three cats and dogs. While in the military for 10 years, I was responsible for taking care of many other pets, especially dogs, for other service members while they traveled or deployed. My dog Nigel and I tend to make fast friends with any other dogs we meet! I recently got out of the military, and moved back home to Vermont. I am currently not working, and will be working on online college courses from home for the foreseeable future. I have a very sweet four year old male English Cream Golden Retriever, named Nigel, who loves friends more than anything (other than treats) and will be my permanent doggie daycare assistant. We have a large 2.5 acre property that is partially fenced, with large yard space to run in, and wooded nature trails in the back for walks and lots of sniffs. We are also about 5 minutes away from a beautiful dog park and miles of nature trails that we try to go to every day.

We currently have a senior chihuahua foster fail named Pig. Before leaving Philly, Jonny worked for Happy Tails of Philly as a sitter & walker for 8 years. I was formerly the GM and Boarding Coordinator for a chain of dog daycares in Philadelphia, working for them for 4 years-so it’s safe to say we are well versed with canines! I was a foster parent with City of Elderly Love in Philly and hope to foster again now that I’ve relocated to Vermont. All of our dog experience can guarantee that not only is your dog going to be safe and comfortable with us, but will have as much fun possible! Whether that’s playing fetch in the yard, going for a walk or lounging on the couch, we are happy as long as the dogs around us are! About: My family and I are pet lovers and have 2 of our own. We live in the outskirts of town in a quiet old farm house with a backyard so plenty of space for activities. Walking, hiking, and fetch are our favorites. I have done house/ dog sitting for many friends and people in the past and now that my daughter is older I would love to get back to it. During your pet's stay, we will go for many walks as well as hikes on any of the surrounding trails. We live very close to the Rail Trail, our pup loves going for walks and jogs there. We have a nice backyard for outdoor play, we, unfortunately, do not have a fenced-in yard. Weekends are completely free for me, that's when I get free time to do fun outdoor activities with my daughter and our pup. Your fur baby will have 100% of my attention on weekends, During the week I have a full-time M-F job fairly close to home. I hope you consider our family for your fur babies' stay! About: I have always been around pets of all kinds; reptiles, house pets, farm animals, even a tarantula. I am caring and attentive and up for anything! I work from home and set my own work schedule. Pet care can fit right into my flexible schedule. I would love to have a companion on my walks, as I listen to my podcasts!! I like to do my research on a particular pet if I am going to care for it. This ensures I will properly handle and care for the pet, as they vary!
About: I currently work full time as a veterinary technician and have years of experience with all types of animals. I also grew up on a farm and have experience with most farm animals. I throughly enjoy pet sitting and spoil them as if they are my own. My favorite part of the job is meeting new people, their pets & all the different personalities i get to enjoy. I want to make your pets as comfortable & happy as possible while you’re away. I stick to their daily routines to have some normality while you’re gone. I have a lot of knowledge with animals and their health. I’ll be able to take care of your pet daily and if there is any emergencies or issues, I’ll know how to safely handle them. I’m also comfortable administrating medications. My schedule is pretty consistent each week. Each work day is typically 8 hours long but some days are shorter than others. Depending on location, lunch time breaks are available! My biggest responsibility is safety; keeping your pet safe while happy is my top priority. This goes for while on walks, adventures or even just bathroom breaks. As well as any sickness that may come up while you’re gone. Being a veterinary technician, i can realize a sickness sooner than others and know the right course of action.
About: I’ve had dogs around my entire life! Currently I have two pups of my own, a black lab and a Belgian Malinois! Whatever needs you have I’m confident I can handle! I currently work full time but have a flexible schedule to help accommodate, I do not work weekends. I work in St. Albans so I have a wide range between my home and work place. I live on the lake in Franklin so my dogs get plenty of outdoor time! Between swimming and daily walks. I have lots of enrichment activities for pups as my Malinois requires physical and mental activities! I crate one of our dogs so I can accommodate any type of care for your pet.

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: Even though this is my first year being a sitter, I’ve had pets in my whole life so I know how to have really good pet care and I also love animals over humans so I have a lot of experience with taking care of animals no matter what. Also, I am majoring in a degree to where I could graduate to go take care of animals in the future! It helps me experience and help me for my future, and it also gives me a time to get stuff off of my brain after classes, kinda like a reset of my day! I make sure they eat when they want to take them out when they need to whether it means just taking them out in the front yard to play, use the bathroom or to go on a walk. I also love spending time with my animals and other peoples animals, so I’ll take the time to play with them inside if needed and give them all the love in the cuddles needed!

“Julian and Jocelyn are excellent hosts! My husband and I were faced with a situation where our usual hosts were not available and we needed to leave our Boston terrier in new hands for a month; also the longest duration we were separated from our baby to date. Needless to say, this was not an easy decision for us. From the moment we corresponded with Julian and Jocelyn are fears were put to ease. They are extremely professional and responsive to emails and texts. We were able to schedule a meet and greet and were impressed by the questions they asked to understand our dogs needs and personality. As soon we entered their home, Layla felt very comfortable and relaxed. She was able to quickly pick up on Julian and Jocelyn's calm and warming energy. At one point our Layla made herself comfortable on their couch and completely settled right in. While we were traveling we received beautiful photos (these really are professional grade pictures) of Layla and warm updates about their time together, which we loved. In the pictures we could see how calm and relaxed Layla was. Julian and Jocelyn also went out of their way to keep Layla active and even bathed her when they felt she needed it. They were also very flexible with changes to our schedule. Working with Julian and Jocelyn was an absolute pleasure and knowing our dog was in such good hands made our trip so much less stressful. We highly recommend Jocelyn and Julian and will definitely leave Layla in their great care in the future. I know she misses them already! Thank you Jocelyn and Julian!
