About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

About: Long story short: I have YEARS of experience and a deep love of all animals! I'm great with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities! Happy to walk them all! Must be kid and puppy friendly if sitting happens in my home. I am also great with cats for in-your-home pet-sitting or drop in visits! The Long Version: I've had dogs in my home since I was a kid. I also have experience with cats, as we had cats first when I was younger, and at one point had multiple cats in the home at once...and also had two cats and two dogs at one time. In college I volunteered at a local rescue and walked dogs of all sizes and personalities several days a week. I ended up adopting one of those dogs, and had her from the age of about 4, until her passing a couple years ago at around age 15. She was an absolute love, but she also could be very reactive on walks/ in public. She was extremely particular about which dogs she approved and even when she found one she'd be okay with, she often took quite a careful, long introduction to make it work. We went through behavioral training and made some progress, and I was able to take her on many adventures, even despite her still being a bit reactive. I learned a lot about dog behavior and socialization with her. Over the years we also rehab'd an ACL injury and recovery, and had to make life/ home/ meds modifications as she got older and needed some more senior dog TLC. I am happy to visit/ walk any dogs, behavioral "quirks" and all, as long as I know about their strengths, challenges, and how to support them, in advance. For boarding/ any care within my own home, I am only able to accept dogs that are excellent with young children and puppies. I have two dog-loving kids under age 5, and we have a super sweet lab puppy, so she is currently small, but growing fast! I'm a teacher, so my schedule varies based on the time of year! During the school year: I can do weekend walks, or dog sitting, ideally at my home, through the weekend. During the summer months: My schedule is flexible! I'm happy to do quick potty breaks for pups during the day, regular walks, filling in for random days if you have to work longer than usual, boarding/ dog sitting (again, ideally at my home since I have two little kids and my own puppy). I've always loved my pets as members of the family and I will give your pet all the love and care that I'd give my own! I am happy to follow any pre-established expectations and appreciate knowing anything that's going to help make my time with your pet as comfortable and fun for them as possible in your absence. I also love capturing adorable pictures of animals lounging, playing, etc. so I will definitely send pics during / after my visit if you want them! We allow our puppy on furniture, but I will of course follow any rules/ standard expectations that you have established for your pets and/or your home.

Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. About: I have always been around dogs and other pets since I was a baby, and have always loved and cherished them. As an adult we have raised and taken care of three cats and dogs. While in the military for 10 years, I was responsible for taking care of many other pets, especially dogs, for other service members while they traveled or deployed. My dog Nigel and I tend to make fast friends with any other dogs we meet! I recently got out of the military, and moved back home to Vermont. I am currently not working, and will be working on online college courses from home for the foreseeable future. Therefore I have a very flexible schedule, and can make all the time necessary to keep any pets entertained and well taken care of! I have a very sweet four year old male English Cream Golden Retriever, named Nigel, who loves friends more than anything (other than treats) and will be my permanent doggie daycare assistant. We have a large 2.5 acre property that is partially fenced, with large yard space to run in, and wooded nature trails in the back for walks and lots of sniffs. We are also about 5 minutes away from a beautiful dog park and miles of nature trails that we try to go to every day.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was a toddler. I currently have an almost 1-year old big goofy catahoula leopard/pitbull mix. I routinely dog sit for extended family and I have fostered for a local dog rescue. One of my favorite activities is taking a dog for a nice neighborhood walk or an active hike. If your dog comes here for a stay, they are treated as a member of the family. They’re welcome to lounge on the couch and we even love to bring them on outings with us if your dog would enjoy it. I’m a full time mom so I have a fairly flexible schedule for adding in dog walks. If your dog is ok with kiddos joining, I can be even more accommodating. I currently have a puppy who could accompany me on walks or drop-ins if you think your dog could benefit from seeing a play buddy. If not, I can do some quality 1:1 time with your pooch.

About: I've had pets my entire life. For over 40 years, I've raised puppies and kitties into well-behaved, loved members of my family. I have some experience giving medicine and training. I work from home 4 days of the work week and even on the day that I’m away, pets are never left alone for more than 5-6 hours a day, which is rare at that. I walk our dog daily and there is plenty of time to go out and play in a fenced yard multiples times during the day. As mentioned above, we lets our dogs get plenty of fresh air and exercise and they are rarely alone for long stretches at a time. If I'm taking care of a pet in their own home, those pets can get walks and regular visits based on their needs.

I have been a long time user of Rover for my own dog Ham for many years! I have had such a great experience using Rover when I am traveling out of state that I want to give you and your dog that same experience whenever you need to travel and leave your dog behind. I have one dog Ham who is 9 years old and male he is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and takes regular monthly heart worm and flea medicine. I will only accept booking that I have "Meet and Greet" to see how they get along with Ham and make sure they are comfortable and confident together. I can accept 2 dogs per night (will accommodate for repeat client) Once or twice a day walks for up to an hour (weather permitting), your dog will be comfortable, happy, and well cared for while your gone . Your dog must be dog friendly, vaccinated and flea treated. We have plenty of rooms in our house and a fenced in backyard for them to explore around. They are welcome to sleep anywhere at the house that makes them the most comfortable. I am happy to travel to meet and greet and can also do pickup at your place for a fee. I am a veterinary technician who is looking to add some critters to my schedule. I grew up with a variety of pets and next door to my uncle’s dairy farm. I began pet sitting as a teenager and went on to pursue a degree in veterinary technology starting my senior year of high school. During my years as a certified veterinary technician, I have worked with a multitude of animals; from dogs and cats to hawks and racoons. About: I have a great amount of experience with animals. I have cared for Bunnies,Rats, Birds, Reptiles, Cats and dogs as well. I’m familiar with treating senior dogs and cats. As well as younger animals. I’ve had animals my entire life. Starting May 15th. I will have a flexible availability. I would fit pet sitting into my daily/ weekly routine but ensuring all animals are fed and have water. I will give them some play time. If walks are needed I will ensure I arrive earlier to give any dogs walks. I have two cats. Athena and Vixen Both girls are on a strict routine. They get fed wet food twice a day and dry food once. Their wet food includes multivitamins, probiotics and allergy medications. Both cats have separate diets that best suit their needs. I ensure all things for them are done before starting my day. e.i Litterboxes, water refills, medications, food and play time. Upon arriving home I greet them and play for about 30min-1hr.
About: I’ve been taking care of all sorts of animals since I was young. Walking, training and feeding dogs… scooping litter boxes, feeding and playing with cats… almost anything you can imagine when it comes to pet care! I’ve handled young puppies all the way to senior dogs (and kittens to cats as well). I’ve learned how to potty train and administer medication to the pets who need it. “Had a great experience booking daily walks for three days with Jenna. Had to book super last minute and she was kind enough to accept and be flexible with us. She provided a rover card for each walk showing how far and long they walked as well as if my dog pooped 1-2x which was rlly helpful for me. jenna also went the extra mile of feeding him and making sure he ate after his walks while also keeping him company for a good amount of time afterwards too. All of which was rlly appreciated, well communicated, and shows how much she cares! I also received a daily picture which I looked forward to everyday :) not many dog walkers would do all of this but she did. Also, it was rlly important that my dog goes on a 30 min walk once every 24 h or else he won’t eat and starts throwing up from starving himself and she responsibly did show up within the asked/ flexible time frame:) Would book another walk with her in the future”

About: I will provide a on-the-ready daycare/check-in service. Check in's will include play time engagement, spending time with them if they have been alone, walks, administer medicine if need be, and overall quality check in. I can provide these services at a moments notice with being local to Burlington, and can also provide these services over an extended period of time to suite your schedule. Daily check in's can last anywhere from 30 mins to one hour, depending on your needs. I work full time but my schedule is flexible. I have watched and cared for multiple family friends cats and dogs since my teens, as well as now helping colleagues watch their pets while traveling out of town. My experience ranges from the simple check in's; walks, playtime, feeding - to administering shots, ear spray, tic and flea medicine, etc. I currently work a hybrid schedule Mon-Thurs in office and half-day Fridays from home, moving back to full-day Friday's from home come fall. Even when in office, my schedule is flexible and I am out of work by 4pm, and can step out quick if need be throughout the day, making sudden pop-in visits easy for me. And making scheduled visits even easier. I live on a quieter street and my apartment is set back from the road, giving peace of mind when out on walks or in the yard. Crating is always an option if you are more comfortable and familiar with that.

“We couldn’t ask for a better experience with Chad. Our family stayed in Smugglers’ Notch/Stowe area and our resort (if you do timeshare, you understand) doesn’t allow pets. We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”
