We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”

“Sukhpran did a fabulous job caring for our diabetic cat while we were out of town for 5 days. She has excellent communication skills and is very reliable. She is caring and detail oriented and helps anxious pet owners as much as the pet! Before we left: Sukhpran came to meet our cat, who forms very quick decisions about new people; he took to her immediately and didn't blink when she gave him his injection. While we were away: She sent photos or a video during each visit. She didn't just feed and leave, she took time to play. She also took care of my plants. When we returned: Our cat was calm and happy, and my plants were healthy and huge! Mail and packages were neatly stacked, litter robot was given an extra empty, so we didn't have to when we returned. I highly recommend Sukhpran; she exceeded our expectations and truly allowed us to enjoy our vacation knowing Finnegan was in good hands.”

About: I promise to keep your fur baby safe and happy as can be while you're away. I will provide playtime, walks, cuddles and a lot of attention. I am very interactive and not afraid to be goofy in order to make a genuine connection with your pet. Don't be afraid to leave me detailed instructions- I get it and have fur and feathered babies of my own! I am able to walk up to 2 to 3 big dogs at a time and feel confident in my abilities to give commands and appropriate rewards/disciplines. If your pet(s) gets dirty, I will bathe them as well as clean up any messes that occur. I also will keep your home sweet home neat and tidy so you never come home to a mess. I have grown up with pets and have always owned one or two.. okay, maybe 3 at a time. About: I have had dogs in my life since I can remember, from family dogs to dog sitting for friends in high school, to now owning my own two little creatures. I am knowledgeable and comfortable with high-anxiety dogs and leash-reactive dogs (one of mine is both of these and more!) and am comfortable and confident with all sizes, breeds, and ages. There's nothing better than plugging into a good podcast and taking a nice, long walk with a furry friend. I have experience with all types of dogs, especially bully breed dogs (pit bulls, boxers, etc) and everything from high anxiety dogs to puppies to elder care dogs. I can administer oral medication, and have given humans shots before so with some owner coaching, would definitely be comfortable administering injected medication if needed. I'm currently working part time, so I have lots of time to take your pup on a walk during the day or hang with them while you’re out of town. I live in Burlington, VT, but I'm willing to travel. I am happy to come to your home where your dog is already comfortable and familiar. Having two dogs who have utilized Rover for this reason, I believe it is the best option for some high-anxiety dogs not to be put into an unfamiliar situation when their parents are gone. “Our 6 year old GSD, Flynn, has been with Chad since he was 4 months old. Up until a few months ago in a doggie day care, and now spending 2 days a week with him in a more 1:1 setting. Chad's calm, nurturing demeanor and unwavering patience and consistency with our often anxious and always energetic guy makes such a huge different for our family. Flynn's 2 days a week with Chad mean that he is a calmer, happier, less anxious dog at home. All of this being said, I think the biggest recommendation that we could give would be that whether it was at day care drop off or Chad pulling into our driveway for a visit, Flynn can never get to Chad fast enough. For us- that says it all!”

About: I've been an animal lover and taken care of pets my whole life! Growing up, we had the sweetest yellow lab named Pete. Now, my partner and I adopt old pets and care for them during their retirement. I love animals and will care for your pets as if they were my own. ****** PLEASE NOTE ****** that we have two dogs (an elderly deaf pug named Alice, and a senior terrier mix named Edie) and one cat. Our pets are friendly towards other dogs, cats, and people who come to visit/ stay with us. Please let me know if you have any concerns about your pet staying with our pets, or if they don't have experience with cats. We can discuss and ensure it'll be a good mutual fit. I am an educator at the local elementary school, and offer pet care services to neighbors and visitors to the area. My availability is generally flexible on the weekends, and can extend into the week on a case-by-case basis. I generally offer 3-4 walks per day, including one longer adventure to mountain trails, or another nearby, dog friendly destination. I'm happy to bring your pup to any of their favorite spots (within reason). Of course, it goes without saying that pets are allowed on the furniture and more than welcome to snuggle in bed at night, also open to crating or any special care required.

About: There has always been a dog in my life and it’s the absolute best! I am a big believer in positive reinforcement training. I’ve worked with a dog trainer for a few weeks (with my own dog Lucy) and have enjoyed reading about positive reinforcement training techniques. I always enjoy greeting other furry friends while we’re out on the trails or at the town off-leash area. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs and my current dog Lucy was, (and still sometimes is!), pretty high-energy. We get outside for some energy-burning activity at least 2x a day. We live right next to trails, a pond, and a river. I’ve mostly taken in friends’ dogs over the past couple of years but we’re used to having an extra dog come to stay and would be happy to welcome yours! I work from home and Lucy is with me all day. We exercise and/or have play breaks throughout the day. I have very few commitments outside the home. We are active and live right next to town & state forest with many trails. I run, hike, and mountain bike. We also have 2 ponds which is the best for water-loving dogs! I take Lucy out every couple of hours on our property (big meadow) or surrounding trails. She is mostly off-leash but can be on-leash if that works better with your dog. Lucy loves all dogs and is a great, energetic playmate. We have a crate if that's part of your dog's routine.

About: Experience taking care of many animals including goats, chickens, horses, bunnies, pigs, guinea pigs, and dogs of all sizes! Experience with both small, large, and all dogs in between! I have been a long time user of Rover for my own dog Ham for many years! I have had such a great experience using Rover when I am traveling out of state that I want to give you and your dog that same experience whenever you need to travel and leave your dog behind. I have one dog Ham who is 9 years old and male he is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, and takes regular monthly heart worm and flea medicine. I will only accept booking that I have "Meet and Greet" to see how they get along with Ham and make sure they are comfortable and confident together. I can accept 2 dogs per night (will accommodate for repeat client) Once or twice a day walks for up to an hour (weather permitting), your dog will be comfortable, happy, and well cared for while your gone . Your dog must be dog friendly, vaccinated and flea treated. We have plenty of rooms in our house and a fenced in backyard for them to explore around. They are welcome to sleep anywhere at the house that makes them the most comfortable. I am happy to travel to meet and greet and can also do pickup at your place for a fee. I like to take dogs for multiple walks and give lots of love and pets. I like when clients leave me detailed instructions on what their pets normal schedules are, that way there's less stress put on myself and on your fur friend! About: I have always been around dogs and other pets since I was a baby, and have always loved and cherished them. As an adult we have raised and taken care of three cats and dogs. While in the military for 10 years, I was responsible for taking care of many other pets, especially dogs, for other service members while they traveled or deployed. My dog Nigel and I tend to make fast friends with any other dogs we meet! I recently got out of the military, and moved back home to Vermont. I am currently not working, and will be working on online college courses from home for the foreseeable future. Therefore I have a very flexible schedule, and can make all the time necessary to keep any pets entertained and well taken care of! I have a very sweet four year old male English Cream Golden Retriever, named Nigel, who loves friends more than anything (other than treats) and will be my permanent doggie daycare assistant. We have a large 2.5 acre property that is partially fenced, with large yard space to run in, and wooded nature trails in the back for walks and lots of sniffs. We are also about 5 minutes away from a beautiful dog park and miles of nature trails that we try to go to every day.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was a toddler. I currently have an almost 1-year old big goofy catahoula leopard/pitbull mix. I routinely dog sit for extended family and I have fostered for a local dog rescue. One of my favorite activities is taking a dog for a nice neighborhood walk or an active hike. If your dog comes here for a stay, they are treated as a member of the family. They’re welcome to lounge on the couch and we even love to bring them on outings with us if your dog would enjoy it. We currently have a senior chihuahua foster fail named Pig. Before leaving Philly, Jonny worked for Happy Tails of Philly as a sitter & walker for 8 years. I was formerly the GM and Boarding Coordinator for a chain of dog daycares in Philadelphia, working for them for 4 years-so it’s safe to say we are well versed with canines! I was a foster parent with City of Elderly Love in Philly and hope to foster again now that I’ve relocated to Vermont. All of our dog experience can guarantee that not only is your dog going to be safe and comfortable with us, but will have as much fun possible! About: My family and I are pet lovers and have 2 of our own. We live in the outskirts of town in a quiet old farm house with a backyard so plenty of space for activities. Walking, hiking, and fetch are our favorites. I have done house/ dog sitting for many friends and people in the past and now that my daughter is older I would love to get back to it. During your pet's stay, we will go for many walks as well as hikes on any of the surrounding trails. We live very close to the Rail Trail, our pup loves going for walks and jogs there. We have a nice backyard for outdoor play, we, unfortunately, do not have a fenced-in yard. Weekends are completely free for me, that's when I get free time to do fun outdoor activities with my daughter and our pup. Your fur baby will have 100% of my attention on weekends, During the week I have a full-time M-F job fairly close to home. I hope you consider our family for your fur babies' stay! During your pet's stay, we will go for many walks as well as hikes on any of the surrounding trails. We live very close to the Rail Trail, our pup loves going for walks and jogs there. About: I have always been around pets of all kinds; reptiles, house pets, farm animals, even a tarantula. I am caring and attentive and up for anything! I work from home and set my own work schedule. Pet care can fit right into my flexible schedule. I would love to have a companion on my walks, as I listen to my podcasts!! I like to do my research on a particular pet if I am going to care for it. This ensures I will properly handle and care for the pet, as they vary!
About: I promise to keep your fur baby safe and happy as can be while you're away. I will provide playtime, walks, cuddles and a lot of attention. I am very interactive and not afraid to be goofy in order to make a genuine connection with your pet. Don't be afraid to leave me detailed instructions- I get it and have fur and feathered babies of my own! I am able to walk up to 2 to 3 big dogs at a time and feel confident in my abilities to give commands and appropriate rewards/disciplines. If your pet(s) gets dirty, I will bathe them as well as clean up any messes that occur. I also will keep your home sweet home neat and tidy so you never come home to a mess. I have grown up with pets and have always owned one or two.. okay, maybe 3 at a time. I make genuine connections with animals (wild ones, too) and would love to give them the opportunity to get outside all season long (even in the winter). If your pet would like an adventure buddy and companion who will distract them from your absence then give me a shout. Feel free to contact me with questions and concerns. About: I’ve loved animals my entire life and would love to be a companion for your pets! Young to senior, low to high energy I’m there! I also have experience with reactive dogs, as my girl Olive is still finding her confidence as a previous stray and working on her leash reactivity! I work full time as a registered nurse and have every Monday off and then every other week off. I’m pretty flexible! Let me know what you need! We still wanted our dog close and finding Chad is awesome. He took the time to discuss ahead of boarding all necessary details about Pakun. He even asked for written notes and sent daily pictures and videos. We are kept updated especially with important details about our dog’s behavior. We could tell our Pakun was treated so well. Our English Springer’s hair was not tangled and he was clean when we picked him up. It is hard to believe since our dog has videos of walks, playing in the park and playdates with other dogs,he even did enrichment activities. Our dog is used to group boarding when we go on vacation, he usually comes back smelly and all tangled up. We are so pleased with our experience this time and we are so glad we brought him to have his own vacation with Chad.”
