“Thanks for taking such good care of Audie! We were nervous that he’d be lonely without us, but he had a great time—enjoying long walks, playing with his new dog buddy, exploring the property, and posing for pictures! The daily updates with photos and videos showed how much fun he was having, and how much personal attention you provided throughout his stay. A+ !!!”

“Certainly! Here's a potential review for Cyndi: I cannot recommend Cyndi highly enough as a dog sitter! She is incredibly professional and takes her responsibilities very seriously. My senior dog requires daily medications, and she handled everything with such care and expertise that I felt completely at ease. While I was away, Cyndi sent frequent updates, including photos and messages, to reassure me that everything was going smoothly. It was clear that my dog was in good hands, and her attentiveness and communication made all the difference. If you are looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and detail-oriented sitter, Cyndi is the one!”
About: I’ve had animals growing up ever since I was little. I’ve grown up with 4 dogs in the household and currently have my own. I absolutely adore all animals and would love to take care of your beloved animal I work and go to school daily but during the summer, I can definitely be more free. I always take breaks to walk the dogs around the neighborhood. I always be adequate to feed them and give them water throughout the day at their assigned eating times! If the dog is crate, trained to sleep in the crate at night, they’re welcome to sleep in the crate or if the owner wants, they can sleep in the bed with me. I do not mind.
“Ashli is a wonderful person and pet sitter! She is so good with dogs and took great care of our dog, Zoey, like she was one of her own. Ashli also sent us so many sweet pictures and videos while we were away, which were so nice to receive. She also has a sweet dog, Fozzy, that Zoey got to hang with. We felt very safe and comforted knowing that Ashli was taking care of Zoey. We will definitely call her up again!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I had an outstanding experience with Jennifer. Jennifer is incredibly kind and provided us with detailed updates, including photos, which gave us comfort and peace of mind during our time away. My otherwise nervous pup seemed right at home. We will absolutely be booking with Jennifer again!”

“Sharisse and her family were great hosts!! Mateo felt comfortable from the moment he got there!! She sent photos and videos of him playing, walking and having fun. We will definitely rebook. Thank you for taking such good care of him while I enjoyed my vacation.”

“Terry was awesome! This was our dogs first stay away with a “new” person and she made us feel so comfortable leaving our dog. She took the time to get to know our dog before the stay and updated us with some pictures and even a video of how he was doing while we were away. We will definitely be going back!”

“Amy is the absolute best. She's the only person we count on to take reliable care of our fur baby when we go out of town. It's also a vacation for our dog who loves socializing!”

“Sherri is very caring and honest. I was happy that Maggie was in good hands for 1 1/2 days. Highly recommended. She has a heart of an angel. I am disappointed that she is moving to another state.”

“Camille was awesome! She sent pictures everyday showing how Pepsi was doing, which I must say, he had a great time with her. She was super easy to work with, flexible and understanding. I strongly recommend Camille for her service. I’m confident that once you work with her, you will become a permanent customer to her. Thank you for your great service, Camille!”

She took great care of pup and kept me up to date on her walks and behavior. My dog sometimes gets separation anxiety, but ate and enjoyed all her time. She was also super flexible with me! Highly recommend!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Although I do not currently have a pet of my own because I am a student, I grew up with dogs my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages and needs. What sets me apart from other sitters is both my experience and the amount of time I have dedicated to animal care and volunteering. I began volunteering at animal shelters over six years ago, and I have completed a 10-hour training program to become a certified volunteer at my college town’s humane society. Through these experiences, I have worked with many different temperaments, energy levels, and care needs. I am comfortable walking multiple dogs at once, as I have experience taking care of multiple dogs from the same household. I also took care of a 12 week old puppy for a month, which gave me experience with younger dogs and the patience and consistency they require. Additionally, I am very comfortable caring for deaf and/or blind dogs and making sure they feel safe and supported. My childhood dog became blind later in life, so I understand how important gentleness, attentiveness, and routine are when caring for senior or disabled pets. Above all, I treat every pet like they are my own, and I will prioritize making them feel loved, comfortable, and cared for while you are away. I recently graduated from college this May and will be starting graduate school this fall, so during this gap between my schooling, I have a very open and flexible schedule. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, which allows me to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and consistent care throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I look forward to, not just something I fit in between other commitments. I am a certified volunteer at the local humane society in my college town, where I completed a 10-hour training course focused on safe and responsible animal care. The training covered topics such as recognizing dog body language, understanding when a dog needs space, safely handling nervous or reactive dogs, and techniques for de-escalating stressful situations. This experience gave me a strong understanding of how to build trust with animals while prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times. I always approach pets with patience, attentiveness, and respect for their individual personalities and needs, so owners can feel confident that their pets are in caring and capable hands.
“Susan and her husband are great sitters. My dog can be a bit anxious and she loved being there. The have a big space, they are experienced dog sitters, and they send fantastic pictures.”

“Thank you to Travis & Christine for taking such good care of Maui! I appreciated the scheduled meet-up ahead of time and your great communication. We look forward to many future visits!”

About: Hi there! I have years of pet sitting experience along with taking care of my own animals throughout my life. I have the most experience with dogs, cats, and birds (though I’m no stranger to farm animals). I love being outdoors and staying active, so I’m always happy to go on walks, play outside, and keep pets engaged and comfortable. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and I always do my best to ensure that they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I work Monday-Thursday 7-5 which means that I am available before and after work and have open days Friday-Sunday. In some cases I’m able to be available during lunch time depending on the proximity of the pet to my workplace. I have a fenced in backyard and live right next to a track for plenty of running/walking time for your pet. I try to stick to the routine of the pet that I’m taking care of so that they aren’t experiencing too much change while their owner is away!
About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life, growing up in a home with multiple pups of all sizes. From feeding and bathing to long walks and playtime, I’ve always been hands-on in making sure they’re happy and well cared for. In addition to dogs, I’ve also raised birds, turtles, and fish, so I’m comfortable caring for a variety of animals. I understand that every pet has its own personality and needs, and I always aim to make them feel safe, loved, and at home. I currently work from home so I’m able to provide physical comfort and stimulation via petting and playing with toys. We also have a dog park where I can take your pet for off leash running around and fetching. I have experience providing oral medicine for dogs. I allow dogs on furniture and free roaming in the house, but if you have a crate and wish to bring it just let me know. Please provide any instructions on feeding schedule or items.

“Bianca did a great job house- and cat-sitting for me recently. She handled plants, cats, packages, etc with ease and always kept me in the loop with lots of pictures of my boys. Would definitely hire her again.”

“Caitlin was an exceptional sitter for my two furbabies (cats)! She kept the home in immaculate condition while I was away, regularly sent detailed updates and was willing to go the extra mile to make my furbabies and I feel taken care of. Definitely our new go-to sitter in Savannah!”

“Liz is awesome. I had a family emergency and contacted Liz a few days prior. She is very reliable, communicated regularly and sent lot of photos. My cat Taika loved spending time with her. We definitely will be using her services in the future.”

About: I've taken care of cats for over 8 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to feed, play with, and care for their cats while they're away. In addition to personal pet-sitting experience, I've worked professionally at a doggy daycare for 2 years, where I also cared for cats, and I've volunteered at animal shelters for 4 years, working with cats of all ages and personalities. I am Pet First Aid certified through the American Red Cross and have experience administering medications when needed. Whether your cat is playful and social or shy and independent, I'll make sure they receive attentive care, plenty of affection, and regular updates while you're away.
“We had a great experience with Veronica, who helped us with cat and house sitting. She took wonderful care of our two cats, making sure they were fed, comfortable, and given attention while we were away. We also appreciated that the house was well-kept when we returned. Communication was smooth throughout, with regular updates that gave us peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend Veronica to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter, and we look forward to reaching out to her again in the future!”

About: I have been dog, cat, and house sitting for over 2 years now. I recently relocated to the Richmond area and joined Rover to continue sitting as my previous clients were through word of mouth. I have a background that includes caring for dogs of all sizes (dachshunds, corgis, aussies, doodles, terriers, dobermans, newfies). Growing up with dogs in my family, I have an innate understanding of their needs and affectionate nature. Contact me to discuss how I can cater to your pet’s specific needs! I work a full time job and do go into the office 3 days most weeks. This is why my availability is usually Friday to Monday. I will work with your pets needs to ensure they are well cared for and happy around both of our schedules. I’ve honed my skills in creating a safe and comfortable environment for pets by growing up with a dog always in the house and through my previous 2 years of pet & house sitting. Your pets welfare is my top priority, and to do this, I’ll need to know as much as possible about them before the job starts. This includes a meet and greet where we can both ask questions, and a mutual observation of interacting with your pet. I look forward to providing them with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
About: I am a pre vet student with years of experience working in vet clinics and volunteering at the SPCA. I have worked with dogs, cats, and other small animals such as rabbits and Guinea pigs. Every animal that I have worked with has had different medical, dietary, and attention needs. I am ready to work with your pets! I am currently working part-time and shadowing at a clinic so my availability varies but I will do my best to work around your schedule. For drop-ins I will make sure that your pet is fed, watered, let out, and given lots of attention. I will also fulfill any requests pertaining to medication.

About: Hello! I’ve had a wonderful opportunity in life to meet many cats, whether they’re strays or family cats, and I’ve wanted to love and keep them all. I have had family cats all my life, having and taking care of three cats at once. I have experience with senior cats and kittens, and would love to meet yours. All cats will have their litter boxes cleaned daily, water and food bowls cleaned and filled, and all cats cuddled and loved. I would love the opportunity to take care of your fur baby!

“Although my cat was initially wary of a stranger, Alexandra made fast friends with him and I felt better knowing he wasn't too lonely while I was gone. Thanks Alexandra!”

“Amanda was amazing! She immediately made our cat comfortable and had no issues administering our cat's meds! Amanda stayed to play with her and even gave her a pet report card. 10/10 would book again! Would recommend!”

“Always satisfied with Srujana’s care and enthusiasm when looking after Tenor. The pup always comes back happy, and most importantly, tuckered you after playing with Rex all day.”

“Ashli has been a blessing in disguise for us! We’re so glad to have found her on Rover! Our little dog Boba loooooooves playing with Ashli’s puppies Rocky and Fozzy. We had the best meet and greet experience we’ve had so far on Rover. Ashli and her puppers spent plenty of time with us and she even went to the extent of showing us her home and talked through how Boba would be situated. Ashli has been amazing at sending updates while we’re away and genuinely cares for Boba’s wellbeing. We’ve struck gold with finding friends for Boba and us and will continue to seek her help and services as long as possible! Thank you Ashli!!”

“Eva is amazing! She took great care of my rambunctious puppy and even taught her some training tips. She sent photos and updates frequently and I know my puppy received the best care and love.”

“Sheri was incredible. Made plenty of time for our dog and made sure he was comfortable and received lots of care. Sent pics and updates throughout the day. Will 100% call her again if we need a sitter!”

“Zadie enjoyed her day stay at Andreea's today. The shady back yard was a perfect exercise spot in this hot, muggy Richmond weather. Andreea let me know via message that Zadie wasn't so interested in her food, which she made up for when she returned home! Guess she was having too much fun interacting with Andreea's two pups to think about eating. Smooth booking, arrival and departure.”

“Parneet was sweet and assured me my puppy was in good hands. It was my first experience with Rover and I was nervous. At the end of the day I picked up a calm, tired and happy puppy. Perfect.”
“Amy and Kris couldn't have been nicer people. I used their services to watch my beagle for the day while I visited Richmond. Their home was easy on and off the highway making this place ideal for visits. Bitsy spent the day with a few other nice dogs, received some delicious homemade doggy treats and got lots of love and snuggles. Thanks, we will be back again. :)”

“Zaria is wonderful with dogs. My little ones tend to be shy and skittish with strangers but not with her. They were comfortable immediately. It was such a relief to know they would be happy with her. I HIGHLY recommend Zaria to take for your fur babies too!”

About: I have a large variety of experience with dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. I have had a myriad of pet-sitting jobs—for friends, family, and strangers! I also worked as a Veterinary Assistant for years when was younger, so I can work with dogs and cats of all mannerisms and at all stages of their lives. I am completely comfortable medicating or attending to any special needs. I work remotely so I will be home to give your pet all the attention they may need any day of the week. Pet care fits very easily in my routine since I have 2 of my own! I live in a townhome and have a small fenced in yard that is good for potty breaks and some outdoor chilling, but there are also plenty of areas around me to walk the dogs. I have a 5-year-old 65 lb mixed breed dog named Baloo and a floofy orange cat named Bennett, so any dogs staying with me would need to be dog/cat friendly (or at least tolerating). If I come into your home, I am respectful of your space and able to follow instructions well.
“Ashley was great! We will definitely use her again. She was friendly, great at communication, and listened patiently as I explained how my dog can be an escape artist. I felt very safe leaving her there, and she sent lots of pictures.”

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, growing up in a family that always had two dogs. As the eldest, I naturally took on a lot of the responsibility, feeding, walking, bathing, cleaning up, helping with training, and of course giving plenty of love and playtime. Beyond my own pets, I’ve also cared for neighbors’ dogs and cats, always making sure to follow their instructions carefully so each pet feels comfortable and cared for just the way their family would want.😊 Working from home gives me the flexibility to be fully present for your pets throughout the day. I naturally take breaks often, which I love to spend playing, walking, or giving them attention so they feel happy and cared for. Since I can bring my work with me, I’m also able to stay in your home as long as needed; making sure your pets have company, comfort, and consistent care without ever feeling alone. When I care for pets in their own home, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in their familiar space. I follow your routines closely so everything feels consistent for them. Since I work from home, I can spend plenty of time with your pets, giving them attention throughout the day. My goal is to treat them like family and make sure they’re happy, relaxed, and never feel alone.

I am comfortable cleaning up after your pet in a capacity including accidents and litter boxes.

About: I started caring for dogs by the age of 13. Since then, I have been a reliable and safe pet sitter. I have grown up and taken care of larger dogs, which is where most of my experience has come from. I have cared for little and medium-sized dogs. I love quality time with the animals. Pet-sitting isn't just about letting them out and feeding them; it's about quality time. All dogs have a unique personality, and I love learning about who they are. That way, even when you're away, they are not alone. Every other day, I am out of school at 11:30, on the other days I am out at 3:25. I get up before school and go to the gym, which can easily be substituted for watching and caring for a pet. I work part-time, usually 2-3 shifts a week from 4:30-10:30 pm. That being said, I have plenty of time in the in-between of other activities to spend time with the animals. I work and live my best life with a schedule, so its no hassle to add in a furry animal in the mix! In the client's home, I will make sure all doors and fences are locked before and after my time over at the place. Lights will be off unless told otherwise. It will only be me in your home with your pets for safety purposes. All rules and directions will be followed, and I am not hesitant to reach out and ask questions because your pet's well-being and safety is important to me.
“Brandi is very reliable, caring towards my dog and accommodating. She also helped us to better understand the Rover app and how to utilize all its features. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I am incredibly passionate about caring for animals and it brings me great joy and peace to be around them. I have been around pets since I was little and have worked with them all throughout my life, including walking, house sitting, and volunteer work at kennels. I am currently a Virginia Tech student on summer break, so this summer is the most flexible time for me to work! My services in Richmond will become unavailable by late August when I return to school. I have two adorable dogs in my home, a labradoodle and an australian shepherd. They get plenty of love and attention from me, including baths, brushing, and lots of walks! My australian shepherd is nearing the end of his life, so my family and I are doing our best to take care of him and give him the extra attention he needs.

“Terry was awesome! This was our dogs first stay away with a “new” person and she made us feel so comfortable leaving our dog. She took the time to get to know our dog before the stay and updated us with some pictures and even a video of how he was doing while we were away. We will definitely be going back!”

“Elizabeth provided excellent care for Maddie during her one week stay at her home. She even cleaned the crusties out of her eyes I’m sure her mom is happy to get her lap and tv chair back to herself. We will absolutely use her services again.”

“Andreea is very loving, carrying person. It was a last minute booking for our Evie , and Andreea accommodated us without any problem . She followed up with us on all updates and we felt very lucky we found such a great pet sitter. Will be returning clients for sure. Thanks again!”

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover offering a safe, comfortable home for your pup while you’re away. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone, so I treat every pet like part of the family. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love having visitors and help create a fun, relaxed environment. My home also has a fully fenced backyard, so your dog can safely run, play, and get plenty of fresh air! Whether your dog loves to play or just relax, they’ll have a cozy, supervised stay here. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands :) Pet care fits well into my daily routine! I work from 7 AM to 3 PM, and my boyfriend has a later schedule, so there is usually someone home during the day. In the mornings, I make sure all dogs are fed, let out, and get some attention before I leave. During the day, they’re let out and supervised, and once I’m home, they get plenty of playtime, walks, and attention. Your dog won’t be left alone for long and will get consistent care throughout the day. I do my best to make every dog feel at home here. I keep a comfortable routine with regular meals, potty breaks, and lots of love and attention throughout the day. I take time to make sure dogs feel safe and settle in at their own pace, and I always supervise interactions. Whether your dog is playful or more laid-back, I adjust to their needs so they feel relaxed and cared for.
“Kiki was awesome - very reliable and easy to communicate with. Cricket loved his stay with her and Cody and I loved all the cute updates and pics. Would absolutely book again. Thanks so much!”

“Natasha and her family took care of our dogs like they were members of their family. Other places offered our dogs to " let out" every few hours from a shed. Natasha looked after our partially deff and blind senior citizen pug and our ball obsessed boarder collie in their own home. The dogs were always around someone who could play and love on them.”

“Ashley was fantastic! Her communication and care were top-notch and I knew my anxious cattle dog mix was in great hands with her. My other sitter canceled last-minute right before Christmas, and it ended up being a blessing in disguise because I ended up finding Ashley instead. My dog, who is very nervous and easily bored, got so much love and attention, and was very calm and content when I picked her up. I will absolutely hire Ashley again, I am beyond thrilled with every aspect of the experience. A+!!”
