About: Although I have experience caring for all kinds of animals, I have a soft spot for cats—I'm definitely a cat person at heart. I’m comfortable with cats of all temperaments, from shy or semi-feral personalities to lap cats who love constant attention. I genuinely enjoy earning a cat’s trust and adapting to their unique ways of communicating comfort and boundaries. I have hands-on experience administering medications, both oral and topical. One of my senior cats was on a cancer care regimen that included daily, precisely measured medications and eye drops, which I handled with care and consistency. I also cared for a cat with hypothyroidism who needed daily medication. I know how to keep things calm, gentle, and low-stress for cats who may be less than thrilled about taking meds. In addition, I’m attentive to keeping litter boxes clean, maintaining feeding routines, and giving cats the space they need to feel safe and secure in their own environment. My approach is patient, respectful, and tailored to each cat's comfort level.

“I would definitely book with Cate again. She treated my cats like her own. She catered to their different personalities of what each cat needed whether it was playing or being held. She stayed the entirety of the scheduled time each day. She’s nice and very easy to work with. I trust her with my fur babies completely.”

“Chloe was really great to work with our big dog. He has separation anxiety and can be a nervous and shy dog. She did a meet and greet beforehand, listened and asked questions about him. She also sent lots of photos and updates on his first day to make sure we knew he had settled and was doing okay. Really great experience to have for our 80lbs sensitive boy. Thank you!”

“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

“Marah is the best dogsitter on this app. She will treat your dog like it's hers. My dog loves going to Marah's and she is always tired and happy when I pick her up. Marah is extremely friendly and makes sure that your dog is well taken care of. I never have to worry about my dog with her because she will have the best of care! I would give Marah a 10 out 5 if I could.”

“We could not have asked for a better experience with Kimberly! She’s communicative and flexible, and Wilson is happy and tired after a fun day of playing! We look forward to many more fun days for Wilson with her!”

“Shelby kindly accepted our last-minute request for a half-day daycare and took great care of Sancho. He seemed to have a wonderful time, and Shelby kept us updated with a photo. Thank you so much, Shelby!”

I will be out of the house periodically but will not be out longer than 3-4 hours at a time. I keep a clean and pet-friendly environment at home with plenty of space to relax and a backyard to run around and enjoy time outside. “Kaleb took great care of Presley while I went away for the day! I received pictures and videos throughout his stay, which was greatly appreciated! Presley had so much fun playing with Kaleb’s pups, he is worn out! Thank you for taking great care of my baby!!! We will be coming back!”

About: I've had a 91 lb labradoodle from puppy to now for about 4 years. I've also been told that my cat adopted me about 1.5 years ago. My dog is a happy go lucky guy who's never met a person or animal he didn't like. My cat is about 15 years old and requires injectable medication twice a day, so nothing scares me when it comes to medication. I've taken care of the odd African Grey Parrot from time to time as well. I take my dog out every morning, lunch time and several times in the evening for walks and play. Our cat needs medicine twice a day that requires an injection so I'm well versed in providing medication and taking care of animals with special needs. There's a giant pop up blocking what this field is meant to say but it's saying I have to fill it in, perhaps I can update it later when the pop up is gone.
“Allie took such good care of our dog Turbo. It was our first time leaving him, and she put our minds at ease. She has a lot of experience and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Turbo was so happy with her! We will definitely be working with Allie again! ?”
“Rene is such a sweetheart and was wonderful with our pups! She sent photos while we were gone and they looked so happy. She is a fantastic communicator and we would absolutely use her again if we need a dog sitter. Thank you Rene!!”

“Mia is great with Petie & he loves every time she comes to walk him. He's had dental issues which meant he had to wear muzzle. Mia was great at ensuring he wore it on their walks. She keeps me advised on anything that arises on their walk & is a pleasure to have.”

“Gussie did a wonderful job taking care of Simba, our geriatric Lionhead bunny. She was on time, followed instructions and was excellent in helping us during a stressful time.”

“Samantha walked our dog when he was visiting with our daughter last week. It was a huge success. He enjoyed his walks, it made it easier for my daughter and I got plenty of pictures and updates. Would certainly recommend it and look forward to booking Samantha again in the future.”

About: I have taken care of dogs ever since I could remember. This beginning with family members or neighbors, and eventually turning into one of my favorite hobbies, voulenteering for local animal shelters. I have experience with large dogs and small dogs, and with my time spent volunteering and also with my families own rescue animals, I believe I am a great fit for any dog. My family has a hard time leaving home to travel due to our rescues being not only very bonded to their owner, but perculiar on who they will spend time with. I hope to provide all families a sense of reassurance when needing any extra help! I graduated College in May '25 and am now in the waiting period of hearing back from Law Schools. My schedule is completely open all hours and all days of the week. Depending on the environment provided, I am confident in my ability to walk a dog of any size or just allow them to play in the comfort of their own backyard. Every dog is different and I am able to adjust however they are needing me to.
“Zoe was great! She was always on-schedule and was very patient with my weird little girl. She does things like hiding when it's time to go out and then pulling a LOT once you finally get her out. But Zoe never complained and always hung around with the baby for a few minutes of love and play after the walk. My schedule has changed and no longer need a dog-walker, but if I ever need one again, will definitely look for her!”

“Holt took excellent care of my old "girl". I probably booked her care inappropriately for while I vacationed. I booked her for 3 - 30min walks a day and it was to much for her. While communicating with Holt we changed her care to suit her better. I appreciated that!”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm surrounded by all sorts of creatures, and that early love has stayed with me. While I’m new to Roanoke, I previously supported the DC/NOVA area through Wag! for several years and am now looking forward to building connections with pet families here in my community. As a remote worker with a flexible schedule, I’m able to spend quality time with the animals I care for — whether they’re full of energy or need a little extra support. I’m comfortable with all kinds of animals, routines, and temperaments, and I do my best to honor what each one needs. Over the years, I’ve cared for many senior and special needs animals, including my two old-ladies, Chrissy and Raspy, who passed away this winter. I’m now kept on my toes by two playful kittens, Joan and Lirael. No matter their age, health, or temperament - I'm able to show up with consistency, patience, and care. I aim to be someone you can trust - not just to care for your animals - but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur-fam! I'm currently a remote worker with a flexible schedule. If I am staying in your home, I can work remotely from that location and keep a close eye on your pet. If I stopping in for a quick visit, I can generally drop in any time before 9am, during lunch, or after 4pm. Different times could also be arranged with some planning. I aim to be someone you can trust not just to care for your animals, but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated.

I like to provide my clients with updates on their pets while they are away with pictures and descriptions of anything out of the ordinary they may need to know about, and also just cute shenanigans your critters are up to each day. If you have any questions always feel free to message me with specifics and I will do my best to accommodate. Whether I am spending the night, or stopping by your home, I will treat your space and pets with respect and do my very best to communicate openly with you!
“Ashlynn is wonderful. She was able to meet for an initial consultation without a lot of notice, and started walking Hoss just a few days later. Hoss has been a handful while we help him deal with his separation anxiety and being home alone for the first time, and Ashlynn couldn't have been more helpful. She was very communicative, and let me know how Hoss was handling his transitions. After one day of Hoss being a bit tentative, he warmed right up to Ashlynn, and I'm excited to make use of her services going forward. Highly recommended!”
