“Very highly recommended! Chantal and her husband were great caretakers for our two dogs for a week’s time — even more than we could have expected. They have a beautiful, spacious, safe place — both indoors and for when they had to go outside. My husband and I felt 100% comfortable leaving them there while we were away. From the beginning during our meet-and-greet through pick-up at the end of our trip, we saw just how kind and calm they were, treating our dogs just like their own dog and providing lots of interaction and play. About: I’ve taken care of a verity of pets and owned anything from fish, Reptiles, Rodents, Cats, and Dogs. I can also do additional tasks such as cleaning and plant care. I am versatile and can stay at the house or commute. I am also experienced at giving medications to animals as well. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle, who I cared for for more than 13 years, had a seizure disorder and in the final months of her life, we administered IV sub-Q fluids to her every 2-3 days, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. I also have 5 years of experience volunteering in a high-volume animal shelter, working predominantly with large dogs, so I understand how animals might behave when they are in a stressful environment and interacting with an unfamiliar person. I strive to provide a stress-free, comforting environment while you are away so please let me know what your pup loves the most! What you can expect: — Time outdoors, playing or on leashed walks — Cuddles and belly rubs — Lots of (approved) treats — Every effort to stick to your pet’s routine and establish clear boundaries! I can provide in-home doggy day care and boarding with a prior meet and greet* if your dog gets along with the two dogs in our home. Your pup will never be left alone with my dogs when I’m providing doggy day care or boarding, so I do require them to be crate-trained for overnight stays. I am comfortable with all medium and small size dogs. I do request that they are house trained. I currently work a normal day job during the week. But I work remote, that means that the dogs would not be alone at all during the day. HOUSE SITTING: I can work remote from your house providing care all day. However, my dog Charlie would also have to come with me. My apartment is fully equipped for a dog to be here safely. I have a balcony where the dogs can spend time enjoying the fresh air. My dog gets along with all other dogs and is very friendly as he used to go to daycare with many other dogs. I have the ability to walk the dogs, get them fresh air and exercise. I also have dog toys and bones available for them to use. Dogs are allowed in all areas of my place. Including the couch, dog beds and human beds. About: As someone who was raised on a fully functioning farm, animal husbandry has been a part of my daily routine since I could walk! I have experience with almost every domestic animal under the sun, but dogs and cats have always been very personal to me. I worked at doggie daycares/boarding facilities for 3 years, and am an assistant at a competitive showing kennel. I attended CATCH canine trainers academy as well. I would love to extend my love for pets to you and your fur family by caring for them as I would my own. I work part time at a private kennel, but have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Caring for dogs has been my full time job for 4 years! Working with dogs as much as I have, I feel like I have seen it all! I care deeply about the health, safety, and mental well-being of your dog, and will do my best to give them an amazing time while you are away.
About: Hi! I’m Katie. I’m 35 and have lived in the Lynchburg area for the past 14 years. I’ve lived with and loved animals my whole life. Im a natural with animals and do not get intimated with large animals. I own my own home and I adopted Patty in November of 2020. My life has never been the same. I can pet, walk, exercise, play, feed, brush, water, and love your fur baby! I’m patient and caring and will keep your pet feeling safe, exercised, and loved. Trust in me to keep your pet(s) safe. I am home most nights, so ideally I would be a great home if you need your pet to have a sleepover somewhere. I have a fenced in backyard. All dogs are on leashes when we go for walks. My dog sleeps in her crate, but does roam the house during the day. She is so gentle and calm. She has all her shots and a very kind demeanor.

About: Hi there! Thanks for considering me to take care of your pet. I have a very flexible schedule so can accommodate most requests. I am not offering in home sitting but can take care of pups overnight in my home as I have a fenced in yard, crate and a very friendly Aussie doodle. I grew up on a farm surrounded by cats, dogs, chickens, goats and guinea hens. I learned from a young age how to take care of animals. We had 9 family dogs over my lifetime and probably 30+ cats (indoor and outdoor). I have taken personal responsibility to feed/ walk and take care of our animals and I’ve house sat and watched pet for others over the years as well. I understand that I am taking care of a member of your family and I will always treat them with the love and care that they need. I have worked as a volunteer at an animal shelter so I have experience working with animals that have experienced trauma, neglect, and abuse. I love to get pets outside as much as I can on walks or to play if this is an option for your pet. I am new to Rover and would be happy to give you more personal references if needed.
