About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. If you think your dog is aggressive, I can and will evaluate them so that if possible, we will get them socializing with their own kind and having a great time. Thanks, have a good day! I train dogs for a living so I stay at my house 7 days a week besides when I work with clients and those lessons tend to run about an hour but no more than 2 hours! I have 9 years experience running my own kennel and have two dogs with a large fence so there will be no boredom here! I do prefer to kennel dogs for the night but as we get comfortable with each other they will start to earn more freedom! About: Just the 2 of us. Our sweet boy crossed over the rainbow bridge, and while we’re not quite ready to get another dog, we love making new paw friends! We both work from home, and have opposite schedules when leaving the house, so one of us is normally home! It’s a perfect set up for your pups ‘home away from home.’ We take at least 2 walks a day, plus dog parks and car rides! Dogs are free to roam around the house and fenced in yard.

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. My girls Piper, Ella and Shelby are my world. I love these dogs like they are children. They are spoiled I will admit. I also have taken care of my friends dogs for years while they have been out of town and my house as "Aunt Paige's Doggie Camp" All my dogs I have brought up from puppies. I have house trained them, crate trained them and trained them on the invisible fence for the yard. They always get lots of love and have lots of toys to play with, both inside and outside. I work from home, so I'm always here to take them out and take care of them. My dogs are always outside when it's not too hot or the weather is bad. I live on a quite street which ends in a cul-da-sak. So I will walk them at least 2 times a day The most important thing is they must get along with other dogs. I have a invisible fence in my yard and can certainly put your dog on it if they are trained on one. Otherwise I will go out with them and walk them. If they are well trained and can be lose a return on command they can play in the yard with my girls.

About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.

I have plenty of time to dedicate to all the lovely animals i work with! Im a full time student in college but only enrolled in online classes so I have a very flexible schedule. I have 3 dogs of my own who I spend most my days with but I have also been fostering many dogs up until now. I can work with crate dogs, big, small, basically anything I am ready to take on. Im by the book so you tell me how you want things done and it’ll be exactly that way.

About: I have been the proud momma of four, crazy unique pups of different size and temperament. I traveled overseas with my first pup for 10 years, keeping her safe and healthy all the while, and absolutely believe that dogs and humans have a special connection! EXERCISE/Walks: I'm a runner and hiker, so if your pet needs to get out--call me! There are also dog parks and hiking trails, a stone's throw from my home, and my Bluetick gets walked for at least 3.0 miles daily. BOARDING: I have a fenced-in yard and two dog doors so your pup can go outside whenever they want. My Bluetick is super sweet and is great with other dogs but if they don't speak the same language don't fret, I can crate or separate them with pet gates. Trust that your dog will be loved and kept safe! MEDICATION/Vet appointments: I'm a nurse and have experience administering medicine via injection and orally for my senior dog and am available to drive your pet to medical appointments. I work from home. My weekends are generally open and most mornings I can walk your dog with my own, if the timing works out. I have a fenced-in yard and dog doors so that your pup can get fresh air whenever they want. I have a 6-year-old dog that gets along with most every dog we've met, but if our pets don't speak the same language, there is enough room to isolate them for a time.

“Five stars are not enough. We recently visited Charlottesville from Atlanta to see our UVA student son and participate in the Charlottesville Marathon with him. We usually travel with Dexter, our very active golden retriever, but were not sure what to do with him before and during the race with such an early start. We were so very fortunate to find Heather, her wonderful family, and their amazing place here on Rover. We dropped Dexter off the afternoon before the race and picked him up the next day after the race. Communication with Heather was perfect during the booking process, leading up to drop off, during the stay--with great updates and photos, as well as on our way for a delayed pickup due to race traffic issues. Dexter easily settled with Heather and her family, and he got plenty of exercise. Dexter actually has a collar that tracks his steps and Dexter hit a new record during his stay that was nearly 3x his daily average (and remember we said Dexter is very active). Dexter was so welcomed and well cared for, when we arrived to pick him up he was happy to see us, but he honestly didn't seem very excited or wanting to leave, and knowing Dexter that speaks volumes. I almost felt bad reclaiming Dexter. It was a short visit for a long trip and weekend, but we left Charlottesville feeling very blessed and humbled by Heather and her family's hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next Charlottesville trip when Dexter can visit the farm again.”
