“Kurt was the perfect dog sitter. We felt like we left Luna with a friend! He send pictures and updates throughout her 10 day stay. We will definitely use his service again!”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of Maks! It’s clear you truly love animals, and I appreciate your reliability, kindness, and attention to detail. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup—couldn’t ask for better!”

“She was fantastic ! I would definitely recommend her to others. My dog had a great time. The farm land is perfect for any pet. She was very sweet and friendly. We will be using her again !”

“Sydney took great care of of our dog for a weekend. Maple had a great time playing with Sydney's dogs and got plenty of exercise in the back yard. Would definitely have Sydney dog sit again.”

About: I've watched dogs and cats with all different personalities and needs (i.e. blind, diabetic, anxious, etc.). I believe in understanding a pet's needs from the perspective of the pet and responding with compassion. I work full time, but can usually work from home if needed. I will talk with you before we commit to pet sitting to ensure my schedule works for your needs (if that's getting off early, working from home every day during the time of the sitting, going home over lunch for a walk, etc). I have no fur babies (or kids) of my own, so your babies will get my undivided attention and I will shower them with all the love I wish I could give to my own fur baby if I had one. (Know I recognize that love looks different for different critters - for some it may mean keeping a respectful distance!)
“My Golden Finley had an awesome stay with Shannon. I highly recommend her. She kept me well informed during his stay. He was well loved on during his stay. Five + Stars!!”

“Amari was very accommodating for a last minute booking, kept me updated with lots of pictures and reassured me that my dog was doing great! Would definitely book with her again in the future.”

“This is Rambo’s second home. He really loves it there and has so many friends. He goes on lots of walks and clearly loves them. I feel like I’m dropping him off at his grandparent’s house. LOL. Thanks again Linda and David. ❤️”
About: I take care of pets for family when they need it and have experience caring for older pets, puppies, and those with special care instructions. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can take time to walk dogs during the day. I’m most available during the weekend and after 5 pm for over night boarding, but can potentially accommodate other schedules. I have no pets, so my home is perfect for less friendly pets. Crates will need to provided if they are needed for your pet, but I’m willing to keep up with their routine.
“Katie updated me daily with photos and details on how my boy was doing. She was very responsive and flexible with pick up and drop off times. She was great! I highly recommend!”

“I appreciated Jessie taking the time to meet and get to know my dog, Boone, in advance of his stay. She also sent an update during the weekend with a picture to assure us that our guy was in good hands and having fun. When we picked up Boone, he had a smile on his face! Jessie is kind and really cares about all the pets she sits.”

“Donna was highly recommended to us by some friends and she took excellent care of our dog Malcolm while we went out of town for a wedding. She gave him endless attention which was evident when we picked him up and he made himself comfortable on her lap! She sent us pictures and videos so we knew he was in good hands, and even took him to the park and for plenty of walks. We highly recommend Donna to anyone!!”

“Veronica is our go-to when we need a dog sitter. We call it a vacation at Veronica's because she and her dogs are great with our younger dog. We joke our dog is like the little toddler that comes over to visit and play with her older dogs. It's great knowing he's taken care of and she's even sent us a few enrichment ideas that help us have new ways to play after he's home and rested up, as he always comes back tired and happy!”

“Nancye is absolutely amazing! She loved and spoiled our Josey as if he was her own. I loved that we had the opportunity to have a meet and greet before we took our trip. She took him on walks. He loves car rides and she took him to get ice cream with her getting him a pup cup. It was our 1st time leaving him with someone new and she sent us pictures and updated all along the way. Nancye has such a love for fur babies and it shows. Would definitely recommend her.”

“Another great stay with Samantha! Margot always has the best time there! Samantha is absolutely amazing. She sends daily photos and updates and it’s always very accommodating. Our return flight got canceled and she had no issue extending Margot’s stay. She’s the best!”

“Courtney & Kam were amazing! We had a super informative meet and greet in the beginning. They had my boy over Christmas and I got pictures every day. I could tell how happy he was there. When I picked him up, he was super happy to see me, but I could also tell he was kind of sad to leave them. They went on many hiking adventures and he came back just as clean. Courtney & Kam were super flexible with the time, especially when I had to extend my trip a couple days early. Overall, I would recommend them. I could tell they loved my pup with all their heart!! They were super professional and very kind. I also saw how well kept and nice their home was.”

“Selena was an 11th hour request and she accommodated me and my little ones with no issues at all. Selena kept all 3 of my dogs for 3.5 days and they enjoyed their time with her. She kept me posted with pictures and an update. She asked questions if she saw something odd and she let me know how they were doing. I would not have gone on vacation had I not felt comfortable with our first conversation where she told me that she allows the dogs to roam the house and be part of the family. ❤️ if you book with Selena, you can have peace of mind! I'll be booking with her again, no doubt!”

“Katie was great! She seems very conscientious and responsible. She grasped very quickly all of our instructions around feeding and meds. She braved the snow to make sure our cat was taken care of. Cannot say enough good things about her.”

“Ashley did amazing job! Stevie cat warmed right up to her. She kept Stevie well feed, litter box cleaned and vacuumed around the litter box! Thank you Ashley! Would definitely book her again.”

“Kalli did a fantastic job taking care of our two kitties. She’s attentive and paid attention to detail when it came to our pet care. She even offered to spend extra time with the cats so they had some social interaction. We will definitely use Kalli again in the future.”

“Jennifer did wonderfully with my two cats and was such a gem for feeding them over the holidays! She made sure they were well taken care of and stayed to play with them and give them treats, which I really appreciated. Would definitely book again!”

“We are so amazed by the care that Rita provided our boys when we were away. We knew from our initial meeting that she offers her services because she loves pets so much. We will definitely only hire her for our future needs and we recommend her without reservation!”

About: Hi! I’m Madison, and I’ve been a Rover sitter since 2019. I bring both passion and experience to the table—along with a background in Veterinary Science, which I studied for four years. I’ve owned and cared for animals my entire life and currently share my home with an Australian Shepherd/Lab mix and two cats, so I’m especially comfortable with multi-pet households and active breeds. What sets me apart is my ability to balance professional care with genuine love for animals. Whether I’m caring for a playful puppy or a senior dog who needs a gentler touch, I adapt to each pet’s personality, energy level, and needs. I’m also attentive to safety—my yard is large and perfect for play, but since I live near a busier road, I take all necessary precautions to keep pets secure during outdoor time and walks. I make communication a priority. I’ll keep you updated with regular check-ins, photos, and quick messages so you always know how your pet is doing. I also offer meet-and-greets (in-person or virtual) to ensure your pet feels comfortable with me before our first booking. Thank you for considering me—I’d love the chance to give your pet the love, attention, and expert care they deserve! Even as a busy nursing student, caring for animals is one of the best parts of my day—and something I genuinely make time for. My class schedule is flexible enough that I can prioritize spending quality time with your pets, whether it’s for a long walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care. Being around animals is a huge stress reliever for me, so I look forward to every visit. I treat every pet like they’re my own—making sure they get attention, play, and care tailored to their needs. My background in nursing means I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and confident handling schedules, medications, or special instructions. Pet care isn’t a side job for me—it’s something I love doing and work hard to do well. Your pets will get my full attention, lots of love, and a safe, happy experience every time we’re together. I have three pets of my own, so your fur baby will have plenty of company and a pet-loving environment whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine. I focus on creating a calm, structured atmosphere where your pet can feel safe and relaxed, especially since being away from their usual routine—or their favorite people—can be stressful. Whether I’m house sitting, walking your dog, or providing daycare, I do my best to stick to your pet’s regular schedule, including feeding times, walks, play, and any special routines or medications. I treat each pet like an individual, giving them the attention, patience, and care they need to feel right at home—even if they’re not. You can count on me to be respectful of your space, communicative, and totally focused on keeping your pet happy and healthy while you’re away.

“Holly is the BEST. Tuesdays are now Poncho's (and my) favorite day of the week. He has the time of his life running around the yard and playing with other pups, and is exhausted by the time I pick him up- which every puppy owner knows is the BEST feeling ever. Holly is so communicative, sends the cutest pics, and I always know Poncho is safe and spoiled with her. You need to book with her!”

This allows me the freedom to stay focused on your pet and be there when other folks have to leave. If a situation ever does arrive my strength are communication so you can rest assured I will be in constant contact, which as a pet owner for an older girl myself id expect from others if I left her in their care. In your home, I can assure you that my experience will allow me to provide the best care for your loved ones.

Therefore, I have a lot of flexibility before, in between, and after classes. I exercise daily so walking/playing with a dog fit perfectly in my schedule. At my home I live with 3 other girls who also love pets so having pets in our place is no problem! We have a dog park right down the road and also plenty of trails near me where I can them on walks.

“This was our second time using Greg and Corrie and my boy had a great time! They took so many photos, gave him snacks, and took great care of him! Mops loves going to stay with them and is has been so happy both times!”

About: I have either owned or been around dogs/cats since 8 yrs old, mostly dogs. I have trained my own animals simple commands (“sit, stay, paw, speak”) and I subscribe to a service that keeps me learning new tricks and tips for dogs and cats. I frequently take care of others’ animals while they are away. A friend recommended this to me, since I’ve done it for years. I also thoroughly enjoy the company of animals. I am an RN that picks up shifts, per diem. Due to my specialties, (Critical and Emergency Care,) I enjoy the company of non-humans, and a less hectic environment to keep me energized and in a good frame of mind to continue nursing. Animals do just that! How could they not? I am able to walk, let animals out, play with, train, and crate (if needed,) I do not mind loading your dog into my car for a quick road trip, too! If they like that, anyway! I am experienced with different breeds, multiple dog households, and pet safety.

Working with animals brings me joy and peace, and making sure they are happy and well cared for is my life mission. I believe in fear free handling, and I am happy to work with animals who do not trust unknown people. I am a licensed veterinarian but I am currently in grad school so I am very flexible. I can be home all day if needed, and can provide close supervision. I have a 3 year old female German Shepherd (very friendly!) and cats (mostly outdoor). I have the ability to keep my dog separate if needed but she loves playing with other dogs! I have a full sized truck and the ability to transport animals with me safely. I have 2.5 acres of fenced land for dogs to run and play as well as a small fenced in section adjacent to the house. A pet door offers come and go access to the house. I am free to drop in during the week or board animals for extended periods, and if your animal needs medications administered as part of their care I am very capable. I am comfortable handling large dogs (I have a lot of practice in my line of work as a veterinarian). I am also comfortable with young animals, cats, older animals, and any animal requiring high levels of care.

“Chloe was really great to work with our big dog. He has separation anxiety and can be a nervous and shy dog. She did a meet and greet beforehand, listened and asked questions about him. She also sent lots of photos and updates on his first day to make sure we knew he had settled and was doing okay. Really great experience to have for our 80lbs sensitive boy. Thank you!”

“Deann was wonderful! We were a last minute booking and she could not have been more flexible or more gracious! Our puppy had a great afternoon. We will definitely be return customers!”

I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals—not just checking in and leaving. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, feeding, companionship, or someone to keep their normal routine while you’re away, I’d love to help! I’ll treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m happy to follow detailed instructions and send plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands. 🐾 I have experience with service dogs, big dogs, small dogs, hyperactive dogs, and senior dogs. I have managed horse farms in the past so I am used to seeing it all. I am available throughout the day. I do tutor a few children a few hours a day but it leaves my schedule pretty open. I can't wait to do the same with your dogs. Animals are already a big part of my daily life! I spend much of my day caring for horses and am used to structured feeding, exercise, and care routines. Pet sitting fits naturally into my schedule, and I’m able to give dogs and cats plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. I’m comfortable working around different schedules and following each pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. # How I Care for Pets I treat every pet like they’re my own! I follow their normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and rest, while giving them plenty of attention and affection. I’m experienced with animals that need extra patience or specific care instructions and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and happiness. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how they’re doing while you’re away.

About: My home is where I tell people "they have me trained well". I love all animals and believe they deserve the best of treatment as they give to us so unconditionally. Any animal in our household is taken care of as they are our children. Our older dog was raised to be kind to smaller animals and seems to think anything smaller than him is his to take care of. We taught this by stroking gently and telling him to "be nice" this is just a "baby". Animals are never hit or disciplined by any harsh means, we reinforce good behavior. Our dogs get brushed every night around 7:00 and remind us if we miss the time and we treat them to a small snack every evening around 8:30 which they know also.
About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years and have a lifelong love for animals. As a dog owner myself with two dogs at home, I understand how important it is to find someone who will care for your pets the same way you do. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, administering basic medications, potty breaks, exercise, and providing plenty of attention and affection. I also know how reassuring it is to receive updates, so I’ll send photos and messages throughout your pet’s stay or visit to give you peace of mind. My goal is to create a fun, safe, and stress-free experience for both you and your pet. I treat every animal as if they were my own, and I can’t wait to meet your furry family members! I currently do work full time but I do create my own schedule and am pretty flexible so we can work around the hours needed for you and your pet! I do currently have two male dogs who are 8 and 9 years old. They both are very friendly and very playful. They play with puppies and older dogs very well and they’re very diverse with sizes of dogs who they are around. If your dog is aggressive to other male dogs, this won’t be a good fit for you. However, i’m happy to have an introduction to make sure everyone is comfortable. We tend to take a lot of walks and play ball in the yard throughout the day. During the summer we swim in the pop up pool we have for the boys and get the zooms out!
About: I have been taking care of my pets and the pets of family and friends for as long as I can remember. I also had about two years of experience with dealing with my senior dog, Ella, on multiple medications, supplements, and a special die. I am a graduate student, so my schedule is relatively flexible as long as it fits within my availability. I am more than happy to get up early or stay up late to visit a pet, and most weekends I am free all day. I thoroughly listen to and follow through with the instructions of every client and make sure to respect their wishes while simultaneously ensuring that the dog or cat is taken care of in the healthiest and most reassuring way to the pet owners.
About: I have had a life long love for animals and have been a pet sitting since I was 13 years old! I also have professional animal experience as I have worked in a veterinarian’s office as a technician for 7 years. I am currently entering my second year of veterinary school, which has given me a lot of experience learning how to provide the best level of care to animals! I have experience administering a multitude of medications/taking care of critically ill animals. I am home from college this summer and I am very flexible during the day! I work at a veterinarians office that is local, so I am also very flexible during the workday. My safety and care of the animals is my number one priority. I am very reliable and you can always count on me to come in and love on the animals.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs of all sorts of breeds since I was teen. My friends and family have relied on me to feed, take on walks, and their fury friends while they’re away. I have experience taking care of senior dogs as well as dogs with several different medical needs. I’ve dog sat one dog for a weekend and I’ve also dog sat 6 dogs for a week. Owning several dogs is nothing new to me. Currently working a full-time job from 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday. If you live in the Christiansburg/Blacksburg area I am able to do drop by visits during my lunch break. Saturday and Sunday I am pretty available. I’ll make sure your fury friend gets let out at appropriate times and have plenty of time to play around if it’s just a drop by visit. Have a dog with a medical condition? No problem I have experience with dogs who have epilepsy and who are allergic to everything under the sun. Senior dogs I understand the importance in being extra patient and gentle with them.
About: I have had a dog for 8 years and have taken care of him. In addition, I have interacted with many different kinds of dogs and volunteer at the Roanoke and Montgomery County shelters. I currently attend college, but whenever I am home I take care of my dog. I take care of him daily, and I pay attention to his needs I walk my dog, feed him, give him water, play with him, brush him, clean and moisturize his paws, and make sure he is up to date on medications

About: Hello! My name is Hayley and I am an animal lover of all kinds. I had a chihuahua for 14.5 years until I had to say goodbye to him in august of 2024. Since then I have found joy in helping others take care of their furry family members. My Pedro was special needs so I am comfortable giving meds or helping with disabled animals as well. I promise to take care of your babies just like they are my own! Same day bookings and short notice bookings will be dependent on my full time work schedule as I work 3 twelve hour night shifts a week but please always reach out as I may be available! I am also willing to pet sitting for other animals like chickens, hedgehogs, etc. Just ask!! I am a full time night shift nurse so my schedule is crazy but allows me to spend the days with your pet. I am also able to get several days in a row off and spend 24/7 with your pet, if scheduled within enough time! If selected, I would treat your baby as if they are my own and would go above abd beyond in caring for them. I am unable to bring pets to my home but am more than happy to care for them in the comfort of their own homes.

About: Hi! I have experience caring for senior dogs and cats as well as kittens. I have helped change diapers, clean up messes, give relaxing baths, and provide as much exercise as possible for any pets I have watched over the years. As a professional housekeeper, no incontinence issue is too much for me! As long as your fur baby is happy and safe. I am currently on leave without pay from my full time job (until an undetermined time) so I have open availability to pet sit this summer for anyone who plans on taking a little vacation! I treat all pets with kindness and patience, always keeping in mind that any "aggression" is just a tiny animal who may be scared or hurting. Every animal is different and I'm always willing to learn how to keep each one safe depending on what the owner wants. I am also willing and open to being recorded on home security cameras to build that trust, as I have them in my home as well to watch over my cats. I provide a quiet, peaceful environment for your pet or I can play for hours until they are tired!
“Stephanie S. did a great job. She was punctual, kind, followed all instructions for our reactive dog and they did very well together. We were very pleased. Thank you very much Stephanie.”

“Sydney took great care of of our dog for a weekend. Maple had a great time playing with Sydney's dogs and got plenty of exercise in the back yard. Would definitely have Sydney dog sit again.”

“My Golden Finley had an awesome stay with Shannon. I highly recommend her. She kept me well informed during his stay. He was well loved on during his stay. Five + Stars!!”

“Rowdy was very well taken care of by Ms. Holly. She sent many pictures upon request, as well as fast responses. I believe he had a great time in her care and seemed to be in a good mood during pick up. Overall I highly recommend Holly as a great dog sitter and will come back again if I ever need!”

“David was awesome with our very high energy, sometimes challenging, yet sweet Calvin. David sent us reports and pictures every day which made our trip that much more relaxing and put our minds at ease. We couldn't be more grateful to David and his excellent care of our boy while we were on the road. We recommend David 100% and hope to call on him again. Thank you, David!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have nearly 7 years of dog sitting experience starting in middle school. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities and I pride myself on being extremely attentive, reliable, and detail oriented with every pet. I have experience handling multiple dogs at once including caring for up to five dogs for 7+ days, so I’m very comfortable with both longer stays in higher-energy households. I treat every dog like my own and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I also provide consistent updates so you can feel confident and not ease while you’re away. I’m a student at Virginia Tech with a flexible schedule, typically having at most two classes a day. Outside of class, I spent most of my time at home, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. My routine makes it easy for me to incorporate walks, feeding, playtime, and check-in consistently. I’m able to adapt to each pets needs and schedule, whether that means early mornings, midday visits, or evening care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet friendly apartment with a fence dog area, so dogs have a safe place to get outside and play. I’m very attentive and make sure pets are always supervised and cared for based on their specific needs and routines. I also keep owners updated regularly so you always know how your pet is doing.
