“Finn and Fiona had a great time staying with Connie and her family. They kept my dogs busy and happily playing, which is not an easy task as Finn is a 6 month old lab! She sent tons of pictures and videos, so I was able to relax and know that our pups were doing great and having a mini vacation too. They even went for a walk to the park which can be quite an event as Finn is an enthusiastic leash walker. Both Finn and Fiona came home and promptly fell into an exhausted sleep :] I would recommend Connie as a pet sitter and plan to book another stay for Finn and Fiona for an upcoming trip we have in November. ”

My one cat in particular takes us leaving her pretty hard. She becomes very anxious, aggressively grooms and ends up losing weight. This did not happen in Laurie’s care; Lily actually gained weight! I am absolutely thrilled and it is incredible to have such peace of mind knowing you are leaving your pets with someone who goes above and beyond for them. About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I have experience sitting for all types of animals. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. I prefer to keep the animal's care as consistent as possible. The more details you have of your preferred method of walking, reward, or preparation habits, the better. Trust and care are my number one goals when it comes to animal sitting. Not just with the four legged babies, but with the parents as well. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your care provider, and what a treat it is to know that you can trust someone with the care of your loved ones. Also, aren't dogs just perfect? I work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and am currently on telework, so my weekly availability is early morning, and late afternoon. I also volunteer at the Old Dominion Humaine Society and occasionally foster for them at my house. I have one <1 year old puppy, and I have a home with a large yard but no fence. That means all foster dogs get leash walked always and there are many mind teaser toys for rainy days. I feed in crates and make it a safe space for them to decompress.

I have had many repeat customers, and I miss them when they leave. I work from home, have a doggie door and a fenced in yard. I take the dogs out regularly for play and potty breaks. I am open to pet sit any animal of any size and can do it at your house or mine! I am great with medication scheduling and certain or special feeding schedules.
