“Damacia was excellent to work with. We met her a few days before we left on vacation. Very clean and well behaved other pups. Nice environment for our younger pup. She updated us through the time Maggie spent there and was great about meeting us to pick her up. We would highly recommend Damacia for your pet sitting needs!”

“Natasha and her family took care of our dogs like they were members of their family. Other places offered our dogs to " let out" every few hours from a shed. Natasha looked after our partially deff and blind senior citizen pug and our ball obsessed boarder collie in their own home. The dogs were always around someone who could play and love on them.”

“Knowing that Luna was safe, well cared for, AND happy (she had a huge smile in every picture Paula sent us) gave us peace of mind and we therefore enjoyed our 8 day vacation so much more! Thank you Paula!”

“I have used Radka and James many times to care for my dog while I’m away. As a retired veterinarian, I can appreciate the great, loving, attentive care they provide. I never worry when my four footed friend is at their home.”

“As always, Lucky did an incredible job with our two crazy dogs. We feel completely comfortable with the dogs in her care and couldn’t be more grateful that we found Lucky and her family to watch over them when we are out of town. She sends a bunch of pictures as the dogs play in her yard and gives them a lot of love during their stay. Highly recommend booking with Lucky!”

“Sheri was the ABSOLUTE BEST! She has a beautiful family and my dog fell in love with all of them. She did an exceptional job of taking care of my dog and even went the extra mile and cleaned his little eye boogers. Also, she kept me updated with lots of photos which definitely put me at ease. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!”

“We just moved to the area and Pamela and Paul watched our anxious dog Harley for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. Harley did not show any of her typical anxiety cues and she had a great time at their home and with their sweet dog Marlowe. I highly recommend them as sitters and we look forward to more stays in the future.”

“Dawn was absolutely amazing. She took great care of our big, fluffy, Luna, who can certainly be exuberant at times! She kept me updated several times a day with great pictures. I would 100 percent use her again!”

“This is the first time I used Rover and left Hercules to be taken care by someone who was not part of the family. He is a senior and very into his ways so I was apprehensive about how he would take it. From the photos Cyndi provides daily I could tell in the first day he was relaxed and really into Cyndi. She took a great care of him and it was great to have daily updates and a place where he does need to share with other dogs. I would highly recommend Cyndi and I will definitely book more stays with her.”

“Laura and DJ took such great care of our dogs, Benny and Kiwi, while we were away for our wedding weekend!! They sent regular picture and video updates of the pups playing, getting love, and having fun. I can’t thank them enough! Definitely 10/10 recommend booking with them!”

“Laura was fantastic! She sent updates and pictures everyday. Nellie had the most fun with Laura and her family. I loved how they really adopted Nellie into the family for the week!”

“Rachel was an absolute lifesaver! She stepped in at the last minute after our original sitter canceled, and we couldn’t have been more grateful. She was incredibly flexible, kept us updated with messages and photos, and made us feel at ease knowing our pups were in good hands. She also has two dogs of her own, and they got along great with ours, which made the experience even better. Our dogs came home happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with Rachel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Our senior dog is always so well taken care of and loved on staying here. I can tell Moose feels right at home and comfortable from all the pictures shared! It is so comforting knowing that he is in such good hands while we are away- thank you Amy!”

“Adam was great with Poppy. He’s a gentle soul who clearly loves animals. However, when his kids were there overnight, we learned that Poppy isn’t comfortable with younger kids. Adam made it work for the brief period the kids were around Poppy, but it’s not realistic to need to separate young kids in the home and the visiting dog. Sadly we’re still looking for a sitter.”

“Jesse was so great with Zoey. He sent lots of photos, took her on a lot of walks and spent cuddle time with her. It’s clear he truly loves animals. We’d love for Zoey to stay with Jesse again.”

“Cassie is a wonderful dog sitter and person. Both of our pups love going to her house. We appreciate how friendly and communicative she is and couldn't recommend her enough-she's great!”

“Elizabeth was great! She did a wonderful job taking care of Rosie. Rosie takes a bit of time to get comfortable with new people and Elizabeth was so patient with her. I would highly recommend!”

“Wonderful experience. Emily and Abi took such good care of our CheChe! Communication was excellent and they made sure she had everything she needed to be healthy, happy and comfortable during her week-long stay.”

“Thank you Carleen for taking such good care of my shy cat Olivia! This was my first time using Rover and Carleen helped explain how it works and what to expect. My cat is typically scared of strangers and hides but Carleen managed to get photos of her! 10/10 would book again. Thank you!”

“Liz watched our kitty while we were away for our wedding and clearly they hit it off! Our cat was so calm and unconcerned when we came home which told us she had gotten plenty of attention. Liz sent us so many cute photos and updates and even brought in some packages for us!”

“Tabitha was so kind helping my dogs when we needed to get care for them last minute! She sent great pictures and communicated updates as needed. She was reliable, flexible and friendly- We highly recommend her.”

“Paula is the absolute best !!! We always use her as we know our pets are genuinely loved and cared for ! She is always on time . We never worry when we are away and that means so much!”

About: I have previous experience working as a field manager for a professional pet care company where I have taken care of dozens of dogs/cats of all ages with many different routines/needs, I have my Pet First Aid and CPCR certification, and I currently have two young German Shepherd pups of my own! I have always been very passionate about animals and know how important it is to feel that your pets are in good hands when you are away. I currently work an early morning part-time job, which leaves me the rest of the day to play with your pups! I am available during the week and on most weekends for boarding and walking. I live near many different walking trails to keep your dogs entertained. I have a fenced in yard and two young German Shepherd dogs who LOVE playing with other dogs. I have crates and gates if needed. I do my best to keep animals close to their usual daily routines so they are as comfortable as possible while they are away from their owners.
“Allison did a great job housesitting with my cat Annie! She gave her lots of attention and sent me daily updates and pictures/videos. I would recommend Allison and book with her again.”

“My cat is very unsure of people, especially without me present. Damacia was so patient with him and seems to have won him over. The updates I get when he does something funny or surprising will give you a good laugh and make you feel connected with your pet from wherever you are. Damacia has truly gone above and beyond for Wendal and I. I highly recommend booking.”

“Cynthia is an excellent cat sitter! She has tons of experience with cats, had no problem cleaning up after my cat when she had an accident, and shared helpful advice for cat care. I’ve already booked her twice and intend to have her as my go to for future travel!”

“Riley, you are a very special person!! You took in our little Chocolate when she was ill and we didn’t know if she would make it. You loved on her and helped her pull through. You offered her a bigger environment should she grow strong enough. You provided updates and pictures for the duration of our extended trip. We are extremely thankful that we found you! ❤️🐈⬛ Thank you so much for all you did for us and our little girl!”

“Jordan is the best. Most of the time, when we have a pet sitter, the cats are super distressed when we get home: meowing, wanting reassurance. Not with Jordan! They barely say hello to us when we walk in the door because they’re just calmly living their lives. What a dream. She’s reliable, super communicative, and is great with our diabetic senior cat who needs an insulin shot with his food. She’s just a gem. Cannot recommend her enough.”

About: I’ve always been a cat person & understand that every cat has their own personality. Some love attention & want to play, while others prefer their space & need time to warm up. I’m patient & pay attention to their behavior so they can feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m comfortable following feeding routines, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, playing with cats, & giving them plenty of attention—or space—depending on what they prefer. I also understand how important it is to keep their routine as normal as possible & make sure they’re safe and doing well. What sets me apart is that I’m dependable, caring, & detail-oriented. I’ll treat your cat like part of my own family & keep you updated with pictures & messages so you can enjoy your time away without worrying about them. 🐾

About: I'm the go-to cat caregiver in my friend group and a proud cat parent myself. I love playing with cats, and cuddling them (even when they pretend not to care), and making sure they feel loved and safe. Whether it's chasing toys or just hanging out together, I'm all about keeping your furry babies happy. I can also give medication (yes, even if it means I have to fight for my life).
“Excellent communicator. Patient. Gets to know pets. Pleasant to deal with. I can’t say enough. He has been a godsend. I’ve had last minute plans that he has accommodated.”

About: Hello there! I’m Sam. I’ve loved animals since I was 9 years old and have been a pet sitter on Rover for over 4 years now. As you can see from all my reviews, I enjoy being part of this community! Currently, I have two fur babies of my own: Tango, a Norwegian Elkhound, and Scout, a Pitbull/Yorkie mix. In 2024, my beloved Timmy, a dachshund senior dog passed away at 15 years old, so I also have personal experience caring for older dogs who need a little extra love and specialized attention. I know firsthand how important and how difficult it is to find someone you can completely trust with your pets while you're away. I can assure you that your fur baby will be in safe hands with me. A Little Perk: I just got a nice camera and am looking to practice my photography! I am offering free digital pictures with any house-sitting or drop-in booking. I currently work a remote 9-to-5 job with plenty of flexibility, meaning I can easily adjust my schedule to fit your pet's specific routine and needs throughout the day. I do not offer services in my home since I live in an apartment with my 2 dogs. I have a reliable means of transportation, and I can make any special accomodations for your pets if necessary.

“Sheri was incredible. Made plenty of time for our dog and made sure he was comfortable and received lots of care. Sent pics and updates throughout the day. Will 100% call her again if we need a sitter!”

“Zadie enjoyed her day stay at Andreea's today. The shady back yard was a perfect exercise spot in this hot, muggy Richmond weather. Andreea let me know via message that Zadie wasn't so interested in her food, which she made up for when she returned home! Guess she was having too much fun interacting with Andreea's two pups to think about eating. Smooth booking, arrival and departure.”

“Always satisfied with Srujana’s care and enthusiasm when looking after Tenor. The pup always comes back happy, and most importantly, tuckered you after playing with Rex all day.”

About: I have had my own dogs since my early 20’s, and I’d probably have about ten more if I could. Everyone in our family has dogs, ranging from tiny Yorkipoos to big ol’ lab mixes, and I love them all! I currently have one rescue pup, Russell, who is 19 different breeds! I am patient, I don’t get grossed out easily, and I will love your pup like it’s a member of the family. My husband and I are both teachers, so we are home full-time during the summer with our two teenage kids. During the school year we work, but I’m usually home by 3:30. Our 13-year old daughter is interested in pursuing a career working with animals, so she will be assisting in the care of your pet. We have a large fenced yard and a dog-friendly house. We even have a doggie door for pups to come and go outside to the back yard as they need or want to. We have one 5-year old dog who gets along great with other pups. Usually when we dog sit, we have the visiting pup have a home base in our daughter’s room where they can be fed separately, have peace and quiet, and enjoy the best air conditioning in the house! We are a dogs on furniture house, and she even loves to let the dogs we are sitting sleep in her bed with her if they want. Your dog should expect many pets and snuggles at our house! If we are coming to your house, we will follow whatever routines and rules you’ve established for your pet. But still expect lots of love for your pet!

About: Hi! I'm a passionate pet sitter with professional experience working in both a boarding kennel and a veterinary clinic. During my time at the kennel, I cared for pets of all ages—from young puppies and kittens to senior pets—and worked with a wide variety of breeds, personalities, and energy levels. I also have experience caring for pets with medical conditions and special needs, including administering medications and providing attentive, individualized care. Working in a veterinary clinic has further strengthened my knowledge of animal health and behavior, allowing me to recognize when a pet may need extra attention and provide confident, compassionate care. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll treat them like one of my own. My goal is to keep your pets happy, safe, and comfortable while giving you peace of mind with regular updates and photos throughout my visits. 🐾 I currently work full time at the veterinary clinic but I can pop in multiple times a day to check on your furry friend(s) or I can also stay the night at your house 😊 When caring for your furry friends in their home, my goal is to keep them comfortable, safe, and on their normal routine as much as possible. I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, litter box or potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of companionship and attention based on each pet’s personality and needs. I also have experience working in both a veterinary clinic and a boarding kennel, so I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments, including those with medical conditions or special care instructions. I understand that pets feel most secure in their own environment, so I take the time to make them feel calm and cared for while you’re away. I can administer medications if needed and will closely follow any instructions you provide to ensure their health and well-being. During each visit, I’ll also check that everything is safe and in order in your home, and I’ll provide regular updates with photos and messages so you always know how your pets are doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your furry family members are in caring, capable hands. 🐾

I prioritize every walk, cuddle, and face kisses As I start my own business I want to use this current free time I have right now helping others while spending that time doing something I love A have one friendly fur baby that loves to make new friends. The thing I care about most is the safety of your babies while making them feel at home

About: I've always had a soft spot for the pets that need a little extra love. Over the years, I've adopted two rescue dogs and two rescue cats. One of my dogs was a deaf and partially blind senior who had been overlooked at the shelter, and caring for him taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to make an anxious or special-needs pet feel safe. Today I'm the proud cat mom to two tuxedo rescues, ages 14 and 6, who both have separation anxiety. Because of them, I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable, maintain their routines, and earn their trust. I'll care for your pets with the same patience and love I give my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide dependable care and adjust my schedule to meet each pet's needs. I'm an early riser, so my mornings always begin by feeding, playing with, and checking in on my own cats before I start my workday. Because I'm home throughout the day, I'm able to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and playtime rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. Whether your cat needs a little extra affection, interactive play, fresh food and water, or simply someone to check in and make sure they're comfortable, I have the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care. I know how important routine is—especially for cats—and I'll do my best to keep your pet's day as familiar and stress-free as possible while you're away. At home, my cats are part of my family, and I make sure they always have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, daily playtime, and, of course, plenty of affection on their own terms. Because they have very different personalities, I've learned that every cat has unique needs. One may want to play and cuddle, while another simply appreciates a calm presence and a predictable routine. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow your feeding schedule, refresh water, clean litter boxes, administer medications if needed, and spend quality time with your pet based on what makes them happiest—whether that's interactive play, brushing, lap time, or simply sitting quietly with them so they feel safe and comfortable.

I’m flexible, reliable, and love keeping owners updated with pics and messages. With me, every walk is an adventure and every cuddle feels like home. 🐾🐶 I work as an independent sports agent, which means most of my job is done from my phone and laptop. Because of this, I have a very flexible schedule and can easily adjust my day around walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting. Whether it’s mornings, afternoons, evenings, or even weekends, I can usually make it work. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s routine and find the perfect times to keep them happy and cared for. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. When I’m in your home, I respect your space and follow all instructions carefully to make sure your pets feel comfortable and secure. I treat every house as if it were my own, with responsibility and care. On walks, I’m always alert to surroundings, traffic, and other animals. I keep dogs safely leashed, avoid risky situations, and make sure they get exercise in a fun but safe way. You can trust that your pets will always be in good hands with me.
About: Hi! My name is Laura and I am a recent graduate from Virginia Tech. I have had a life-long passion for taking care of animals and hope to care for yours. Throughout my life I have cared for dogs, cats, reptiles, small mammals, horses, cows, pigs, chickens, and much more! I love all animals, big and small, and am able to watch over your household pets and/or any farm pets. I have had dogs my entire life, currently a proud pup owner of my hyper, loving golden retriever, and I know all the ins and outs of canine care. I provide play-time, grooming, walks/dog park visits, food/water cleaning and replenishment, medical aid, and so much more for your pup(s). I have training experience with puppies, and can handle all temperaments. Elderly dogs hold a special place in my heart so I will ensure their safety and comfortability. No matter the age or size, I would love to care for your four-legged family member! I have a flexible schedule so I will ensure dates/times meet your needs. I provide house visits and walks any day of the week. I also have my own vehicle so reliable transportation is not an issue. I will keep your pet(s) safe at your home and/or outside by keeping them on a leash, crating if necessary or requested, keeping your doors locked at all times, and taking precautions to make sure your pet doesn’t get into anything they are not allowed to have.
About: Hi! I am a graduate student with a flexible schedule to accommodate your busy life. I offer reliable and trustworthy pet care services, ensuring your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness. I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life, so you can count on plenty of patience and special attention for your fur babies. Whether through regular walks, playtime, or feeding routines, I provide compassionate care tailored to each pet's individual needs. I especially love going on walks and spending time outdoors. From pet owners, I prioritize clear communication in order to meet expectations, maintain consistency, and bring peace of mind. My routine is centered around my class schedule. I am free to prioritize sitting on the majority of weekends, so that’s my main source of availability. On weekdays, I’m generally open early mornings and evenings after 5:30. Quick visits throughout the day may be possible, depending on the location, so just reach out with the details and we can coordinate. As a dedicated pet sitter with years of experience, I ensure your four-legged friend remains happy and healthy. I pay close attention to body language to know when it’s playtime or if space is needed. I always respect boundaries, though I am also adept at implementing discipline at the owner’s discretion if necessary. Getting to know your pet’s unique personality as well as their favorite toys or games is the best part of the experience for me. Look forward to receiving photo and video updates of your babies while under my care. My method of sitting revolves around specific instructions from the owner regarding their pet’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements.
About: I’ve been an avid animal lover my entire life. My family has always had at least 2 pets at any given time and in the past 4 years we have fostered close to 80 pups! I’m currently working towards my CCTBS certification (certified canine training and behavior specialist). I’ve worked at dog daycares as well as the SPCA. During this time, I cared for dogs and cats from all walks of life. I befriended anxious pets who feared humans and gained acceptance from those who show aggression. I have experience with puppies/kittens, seniors, special needs, and more! I specialize in caring for the pets who are a bit more on the nervous side as I am very patient and attentive to detail. That being said, I love a good happy go lucky pet as well! I am also qualified to administer medications, even injectables. Whether it’s a little check in or a long walk with lots of enrichment along the way, I’m here to help! I work 7am to anywhere between 11am and 3pm, leaving me enough flexibility to care for your pets scheduled needs! My days off vary each week with weekends being mandatory. On my days off, I’m able to provide more flexibility for extended visits and one on one time with your furry friends, just reach out and I’ll let you know what my off days are for the week! If you’re looking for recurring walks or sitting we can discuss that further so I can adjust my schedule accordingly! Your pets will be treated like one of my own, pampered and spoiled! I do like to practice working on manners like jumping when someone comes in, or proper leash etiquette etc. If you crate your pet, I will follow those guidelines you have set in place. If your pet has specific cues, like waiting in a sit before they eat their meals, I’m more than happy to implement those! In each and every visit, I like to take the time to give the animal and the home a once over to make sure everything looks good and safe before I leave.

“From the very start, Matt impressed us with his prompt, thoughtful, and thorough communication. That same level of care carried through our meet-and-greet and throughout our puppy’s stay. We loved receiving his twice-daily updates and photos — it was clear our dog was not only well cared for but truly happy. When we returned from our trip abroad, jet lagged and exhausted, Matt gladly agreed to keep our pup an extra night so we could rest. When we picked him up, it was obvious how loved and well looked after he’d been. We couldn’t recommend Matt more highly and will definitely be booking with him again.”

“Julie took great care of my dog Dakota while I was gone. Dakota can have some separation anxiety at first, but Julie and her pups helped her feel comfortable and home during her stay. I would definitely use Julie again to watch Dakota. She retuned to me happy and healthy. Thank you Julie for taking such good care of my best girl!”

“Elizabeth agreed to watch my dog last minute and was very accommodating and kind! She sent me a lot of pictures and updates and made it feel like I wasn’t even away from my pup! I definitely look forward to booking with her again.”

“Kira was an absolute dream to work with. I've been on the road with my dog for 10 months straight and have used many sitters across the country and she was by far the most reliable and communicative. My dog almost didn't want to come back home with me! But in all seriousness, Kira was professional and accommodating when I had to shift to an overnight last minute. She's just beginning her journey towards a career working with animals, so she is highly qualified to deal with all types of situations. Cannot recommend highly enough !!”

“Andrea was wonderful with my little Daisy. She sent pictures each day & gave me updates on how she was doing. I felt very comfortable she was being well cared for. I would definitely use her services again.”
