“We can’t say enough about Savannah. She was an absolute godsend for our family. After driving for almost 8 hours and arriving at our hotel at 9 PM on a Friday evening, we found out that their pet friendly policy only applied to dogs. That was a major issue for us since we had brought our dog and our cat with us, sending us into an absolute panic. We sent a message to Savannah and not only did she respond immediately, but she brought us out of our panic by telling us to head right over with our sweet girl. During her time watching our Kitterz, she sent us pictures and updates daily, which let us know we left her in good hands. Going above and beyond, she invited us to visit during our vacation since she knew we were missing our girl. We wish there were more than 5 stars to rate her because she was incredible!”
About: I have taken care of lots of dogs over the years. I love on all of them, and give great doggie massages. I take the dogs on daily walks. I work 3 to 4 hours each day and am home most of the time. I am a master gardener and spend a lot of free time in the yard. I have a fairly large fenced in back yard. I take my own dogs for a morning walk most every day. I give lots of treats.

My husband has a flexible schedule and typically doesn’t start work until around 10:00 AM and is home by about 3:00 PM. This means your pup won’t be alone for long stretches of time, and there is someone around during much of the day. Our mornings are busy with getting the kids ready for school, but we make time for potty breaks, breakfast, and some attention before everyone heads out. Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, potty, and medication routines as closely as possible. About: I have had cats my entire life and have extensive experience caring for them through all stages of life. Growing up with cats taught me the importance of understanding their individual personalities, routines, and needs. In my adult life, I have had two cats of my own. One of them I raised from a kitten and cared for throughout his entire life until he was 13 years old. This experience gave me firsthand knowledge of kitten care, adult cat care, and the special attention and support senior cats need as they age. About: I have experience with all animal types including dogs, cats, horses, livestock, birds, pocket pets and some reptiles. I am a licensed vet tech so I am also comfortable medicating animals that need it. I have 7 dogs and 3 cats, all of which are friendly with other animals. I will treat your pets as if they are my own no matter if they are being boarded or just going for a walk. Please feel free to ask any questions regarding your pets and their needs while you are working, vacationing, etc. I can care for pets early before work, mid-day and late after work. On weekends my schedule can be more flexible depending on what activities I have going on. Any dogs that come into my home will be treated as if they were my own. I have a fenced backyard for the dogs to play in. Boarding dogs will have their own room to hang out in.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with them, cared for and dog sat for over 15 years while being a nannny. I've had two dogs of my own as well. My family and I have recently lost our beloved pup and are desiring to spend time with yours to get all the dog snuggles and love we can! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. We are home daily and most weekends. We love for your sweet pup to hang with us during the day or stay with us during a vacation or long weekend away. We do not have a fenced in yard but have 2 acres of property that we would leash your dog and take for walks around the property. We had a dog in the past that had medication needs and special food needs so I accustomed to caring for dogs with special needs. We are also a couch/furniture friendly family if that is something that is important to you. We do have small children but both are use to dogs and love them! We also do not have a pet of our right currently and so your dog would definitely be the center of our attention.

About: We’re a dog-loving family with experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels. We have two dogs of our own: a senior Lab/hound mix and a middle-aged Great Dane. We’re comfortable with everything from energetic playtime to older dogs who prefer a slower pace, and we’re happy to follow your dog’s normal routines, feeding schedule, and house rules. We both work hybrid schedules, so someone is home with the dogs most of the time. Dogs get regular outdoor breaks throughout the day and plenty of attention and interaction. We’re happy to accommodate dogs who need more activity as well as those who are content to relax and hang out with us. We have a large, fenced-in yard where dogs can safely get outside and play. Our fence is approximately 3 feet high and made of hog wire, so we’re best suited for dogs who aren’t jumpers or determined escape artists. Our own dogs respect the boundary. We also have a dog-loving 4-year-old, so dogs must be comfortable and safe around children. Our dogs are friendly and accustomed to sharing their space with other dogs. At night, visiting dogs sleep downstairs on their own dog bed or one of our designated “dog couches.” Crate-trained dogs are welcome to use their crate if that is what makes them most comfortable.

About: I am a dog lover who has a mini Bernedoodle. I have had senior dogs and dogs with extensive medical needs. I am able to administer meds in any way shape or form and have done the off leash K9 training with two of my own dogs now, so am aware of some basic commands. My husband and I both work from home full time. We have a great back yard for your pet to run around in with our sweet boy Winston. About: I have grown up with animals. Dogs and cats are at the top of the list. I've been around domesticated animals all of my life. My first kittens at my young age was two siames kittens Who had 2 litters of kittens as well as having to toy poodle dogs, that had two litters of puppies twice. “Mary was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Yesterday she took care of our dogs all day during our wedding. She checked in on them three times and even delivered our dogs to our wedding venue so our brother could walk our dogs down the aisle during the ceremony. She hung out for the wedding, and then delivered them back to our hotel. She was so pleasant, followed every recommendation and request we made, and our dogs were so well cared for! She even went above and beyond walking the dogs for a long time before and after the wedding! If we lived locally in Newport News we would DEFINITELY us her again. I highly recommend her and her services!”
About: I’ve had dogs on and off my entire life. For the last 12 years our family has rescued/adopted 13 dogs. We currently have 7 dogs. I have kept family and friends' dogs while they vacation as well as done drop ins at their home for walks, feeding and cuddling. I have also taken care of goats and chickens. I will treat your pets how I would want someone to treat mine. I am comfortable around all size and breeds of dogs and cats as well as goats and chickens. I am self employed and have a very flexible schedule. I am available almost any time, including nights and weekends. Most schedules can be accommodated. I have 5 acres which about 1/2 acre is fenced in with 6-foot fencing. I can snuggle your dog on the couch or crate them if they feel more comfortable like that. I have my own personal dogs but keep them separate from other people's pets. If you leave directions of what your pets routine in your home is like I can provide for them in that manner.
About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals cats, dogs, fish, and even plants! I love to help my friends, family, and more with walking their dog, feeding their cat, or watering plants! I work only a few days a week because I’m a stay at home mother so I would give your pup all my love. I’m available during the week from 11am - 8pm. I take my dogs on walks as well as play fetch at least once a day! I feed them twice a day and let them out every 2-3 hours. If i dog/cat sit for someone I go to their house 2 times a day to feed, walk, or whatever else I’m instructed to do.

About: I'm a huge animal lover. I'm very outgoing and love dogs! I grew up with four dogs (all different breeds), so I am very used to taking care of fur babies. I am very flexible and easy to work with. I am great with dogs of all sizes. I will walk the dogs as many times throughout the day as possible. I love interacting with dogs and taking them for runs. I love buying toys and playing various games with them. I love to snuggle with them and make them feel loved. I will take as good of care of them as I would my own fur babies. I hope we will get to play together! Pet care is part of my daily life—I naturally structure my routine around spending time with animals. I have a flexible schedule, so fitting in walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins comes easily. Making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for is something I prioritize every day. In both my home and a client’s home, I care for pets as if they were my own. I stick to their normal routine, offer lots of love and attention, and make sure they always feel safe and comfortable. I keep their space clean, give fresh water, follow feeding instructions, and make time for play, cuddles, and bathroom breaks. I also send regular updates so owners know their pets are happy and well cared for.

After driving for almost 8 hours and arriving at our hotel at 9 PM on a Friday evening, we found out that their pet friendly policy only applied to dogs. That was a major issue for us since we had brought our dog and our cat with us, sending us into an absolute panic. We sent a message to Savannah and not only did she respond immediately, but she brought us out of our panic by telling us to head right over with our sweet girl. During her time watching our Kitterz, she sent us pictures and updates daily, which let us know we left her in good hands. Going above and beyond, she invited us to visit during our vacation since she knew we were missing our girl. We wish there were more than 5 stars to rate her because she was incredible!”
About: I have taken care of lots of dogs over the years. I love on all of them, and give great doggie massages. I take the dogs on daily walks. I work 3 to 4 hours each day and am home most of the time. I am a master gardener and spend a lot of free time in the yard. I have a fairly large fenced in back yard. I take my own dogs for a morning walk most every day. I give lots of treats.

Our family has been used to having furry friends for a long time. I’m a teacher and my husband is a travel soccer club director, so our home is active, family-oriented, and full of love. Our goal is for every dog who stays with us to have a happy, safe, and fun stay!🐶❤️ A Typical Day in Our Home 🐾 Our home has a nice balance of structure, activity, and plenty of attention for our four-legged guests. I’m a full-time teacher, so I’m at work during the school day, but I’m home after school and have afternoons and evenings to spend with the dogs. My husband has a flexible schedule and typically doesn’t start work until around 10:00 AM and is home by about 3:00 PM. This means your pup won’t be alone for long stretches of time, and there is someone around during much of the day. Our mornings are busy with getting the kids ready for school, but we make time for potty breaks, breakfast, and some attention before everyone heads out. Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, potty, and medication routines as closely as possible. Our goal is to make their stay feel comfortable, safe, and as much like home as possible!
