About: I've been involved with dogs for well over 25 years. We first owned a Greyhound for 12-ish years. After that, I volunteered at our local SPCA, providing dogs that were waiting for adoption walks and socialization. Later, I became a foster parent for a Working-Dog training school. As a semi-retired person, I have plenty of time to watch, walk, and play with your loved-one. Let me know if there are specific skills that you wish me to reinforce, or activities that you wish me to do. I will abide by all rules of a clients home and walk/play on a schedule that you set. “I could rave about how absolutely amazing Samantha was with my Khaleesi for hours, but I’ll keep it short for reading purposes. My dog Khaleesi is a high anxiety dog and does not do well with strangers and typically hides from them. Samantha had her during the day for 3 days, and from day 1 Khaleesi took right to her. It did take some warming up time, but Samantha kept me very updated and sent pictures throughout the day. By the end of the 3 days, Khaleesi was walking into Samantha’s house without hesitation and didn’t even turn around to look at me. Samantha is incredible and I highly recommend her!!!!”

About: I've worked in animal welfare & shelters since 2015. I have lots of experience working with dogs and cats with various personalities and needs. I personally own 3 dogs and several cats all at various ages. One of my cats is disabled- and I've owned and worked with dogs and cats that have special needs (seziures, CH, deaf, blind), take daily medications, and possess specific breed traits/personalities that can't make them difficult to manage. Currently work remote and have a large amount of flexibility in between travel for work. I can prov8de limited boarding in home- dogs must be able to coexhist with cats, be able to be crated and/or left in a single room unattended, and be respectful of baby gates. I do have a separate space for cats that is easier to manage. Current cats in the home do free roams but there is an entire space devoted to the dogs in the home. Can crate and rotate as needed and care for up to 2 dogs if everyone can get along. In your home I prefer to stick to as close of a routine that you provide them with- from their potty breaks to morning and evening walks. Staying as consistent as possible can help provide a relaxing trip for you and your pet.
About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quiet, relaxed environment, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. 🐾❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I stay home full-time. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’m able to work around each pet’s normal routine, including meals, potty breaks, walks, medications, and plenty of love and cuddles. 🐾❤️ Because I’m home most of the day, your pet can have someone nearby rather than being left alone for long periods. I truly enjoy having animals around and love making them feel comfortable, safe, and at home while their families are away. I care for every pet based on their individual needs and the routine their family has established. In my home, pets are treated like family and receive plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, walks, meals, and lots of love. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m happy to provide walks, feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, cuddles, and basic medication care when needed. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their personality, schedule, and specific needs before their family leaves. My goal is always for your pet to feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️

Omaira and Isaacs sent us pictures regularly showing the play times and socialization with other family/boarded guests. All got along well. And their back yard is large and fenced in allowing them ample free space to play and socialize. Will be using their help in September for 8 days. This trip was about 8 or 9 days.
