About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. I’m currently working part time three days a week and an occasional Saturday, so I have the time to care and interact for your furry friend. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to the Rivanna trails and a road trip access to a farm with woods in Earlysville for running in fields. I also have a very tolerant cat who actually enjoys dogs staying with me because she’s learned that visiting dogs often get a treat she’s earned one too. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.

About: I’ve owned many dogs over my lifetime. From a Min Pin to Collies, Retrievers and Pointers. I have taken care of friends and relatives animals while they were out of town. I have done long time sits (several weeks) to daily drop ins. I’m retired so I have lots of time to care for your pets. I love taking walks and getting to know each animal whether it’s to come hang out and play, feed etc or take for long or short walks. I don’t have any dogs or cats living with me now due to my landlord not allowing pet ownership. They don’t mind if I bring a dog here for short periods.

About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. About: Hey y’all! I have taken care of pets, specifically dogs, for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Louisiana with 2 dachshunds in my family home. One of them had diabetes, so I am experienced with giving shots and oral medication. In addition to taking care of the weenie dogs, I had a pet hedgehog and chameleon in high school. My hours can vary, but I always make time to walk my dog Pretzel multiple times a day with trips to the dog park when I can. I am available on the weekends. In my home, Pretzel roams free. I do not kennel him, as he is potty trained. I want Pretzel to be able to roam around as he pleases. Pretzel sleeps with me every night.

About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. I’m currently working part time three days a week and an occasional Saturday, so I have the time to care and interact for your furry friend. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to the Rivanna trails and a road trip access to a farm with woods in Earlysville for running in fields. I also have a very tolerant cat who actually enjoys dogs staying with me because she’s learned that visiting dogs often get a treat she’s earned one too. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.
“Jenny was great! This was our first time leaving our dog at someone else’s house for the weekend and I couldn’t be happier than having him stay with Jenny! She was very on top of responding to messages and sent plenty of pictures while we were away. Our dog has not yet learned to be off leash, so she had a great idea to let him roam around and play in the closed off barn with the other dogs. He came super happy and worn out. I highly recommend Jenny!”
“We could not be happier with Heather’s care for our dog Bailey. We were nervous to leave him with a stranger because in his 5 years of life, he has only stayed with family. Heather was so kind to let us do a meet and greet a few days beforehand and I could tell immediately that Bailey would be happy. We were away for 8 days and I so appreciated the photos and communication she provided daily. We could tell her entire family gave him attention and he apparently made some good dog friends. We hope Bailey is welcome back because Heather will be the first person I call! Highly recommend”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
