About: I've watched dogs and cats with all different personalities and needs (i.e. blind, diabetic, anxious, etc.). I believe in understanding a pet's needs from the perspective of the pet and responding with compassion. I work full time, but can usually work from home if needed. I will talk with you before we commit to pet sitting to ensure my schedule works for your needs (if that's getting off early, working from home every day during the time of the sitting, going home over lunch for a walk, etc). I have no fur babies (or kids) of my own, so your babies will get my undivided attention and I will shower them with all the love I wish I could give to my own fur baby if I had one. (Know I recognize that love looks different for different critters - for some it may mean keeping a respectful distance!)

About: I take care of pets for family when they need it and have experience caring for older pets, puppies, and those with special care instructions. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can take time to walk dogs during the day. I’m most available during the weekend and after 5 pm for over night boarding, but can potentially accommodate other schedules. I have no pets, so my home is perfect for less friendly pets. Crates will need to provided if they are needed for your pet, but I’m willing to keep up with their routine.

About: Once upon a time I lived in a college house that was a revolving door of cats! It seemed as though each of my roommates HAD to have one so we already had 2-3 wandering around. About: I am a veterinarian who has dedicated her life to caring for animals. I have worked with animals from a young age, including many hours working in vet offices in high school leading up to college and vet school (became a licensed vet in 2020). I am quite comfortable with caring for animals who need medications administered, or more intense levels of care while their owners are away. Working with animals brings me joy and peace, and making sure they are happy and well cared for is my life mission. I believe in fear free handling, and I am happy to work with animals who do not trust unknown people. I am a licensed veterinarian but I am currently in grad school so I am very flexible. I can be home all day if needed, and can provide close supervision. I have a 3 year old female German Shepherd (very friendly!) and cats (mostly outdoor). I have the ability to keep my dog separate if needed but she loves playing with other dogs! I have a full sized truck and the ability to transport animals with me safely. I have 2.5 acres of fenced land for dogs to run and play as well as a small fenced in section adjacent to the house. A pet door offers come and go access to the house. I am free to drop in during the week or board animals for extended periods, and if your animal needs medications administered as part of their care I am very capable. I am comfortable handling large dogs (I have a lot of practice in my line of work as a veterinarian). I am also comfortable with young animals, cats, older animals, and any animal requiring high levels of care.

If you were to bring your dog to me, they would be in a spacious little townhome with an open yard. All I ask is that your dog is friendly with other dogs, as I have 2 at home that would be there with us. One is a staffordshire terrier/husky mix, and the other is a border collie. They all would get plenty of walks and playtime together. If I were to drop in at your home, I would take whatever care necessary! What that looks like is up to you. Taking your dog on a walk, administering medicine, playing with them, whatever you and your pet need!

I have dealt with my goldendoodle for 9 years and it is the best thing that has happened to me. I am a college student and have 2 classes everyday which are each 1 hour. Therefore, I have a lot of flexibility before, in between, and after classes. I exercise daily so walking/playing with a dog fit perfectly in my schedule. At my home I live with 3 other girls who also love pets so having pets in our place is no problem! We have a dog park right down the road and also plenty of trails near me where I can them on walks.
About: Over the past 16 years, I've cared for just about any animal you can imagine! A flying squirrel, a 15-foot python, dogs, cats, horses and more. I have my own pup of seven years and we absolutely love welcoming friends into our home. We live on a .4 acre lot in central Christiansburg and I have an incredibly flexible schedule so we're up for anything! Let me put your mind at ease as being away from your beloved pets is hard enough. I'll send multiple updates throughout the day and lots of pictures. Happy to care for any and all animals. I'm working full-time in ministry so I have lots of time throughout the day to care for your loved one and will be gone no more than a few hours per evening for bible studies and groups. I take my dog, Tonka, out 5-6 times per day minimum and we love to go on walks and be outdoors. I have a large field directly behind my home and live in a very pet-friendly area tucked off the main road so your pup will enjoy lots of safe and supervised outside time! I allow animals on the furniture and keep all choking hazards up high. My dog has a knack for finding even the smallest things to mess with so I have good practice with keeping a safe home.
About: I’ve always been a huge lover of animals ever since I was little and have always had a passion for providing them the best care possible. I have nearly three years of Veterinary experience working as an assistant and am currently attending college to further my education in veterinary medicine. Over the years I’ve assisted with my mom’s petsitting business, volunteered and fostered with my local shelter and have taken various animal care based classes throughout my college career. I have experience with pets of nearly every temperament, age and special needs and have provided care for animals in various different circumstances through sickness and in health. I’ve lived in the Blacksburg area for almost a year now after accepting admission into Virginia Tech. Currently I’m working a part time job over the summer where I have been working early mornings starting at 5am and ending around 11am. About: I have always had a cat and dog of my own growing up but I love all animals big and small. Whenever my family, friends, and neighbors need pet care I am always their first call! I have many years of experience, practically my whole life, because I am known as a trustworthy and reliable caretaker. About: I have worked at a humane society shelter as a volunteer for years in Michigan. I have fostered animals as well as helped dogs and cats give birth. I have experience with pet sitting and taking care of pets. I believe pets are our children. I have open flexibility and can give many references on how trust worthy i am as i owned a cleaning business here in nrv for 10 plus years licensed and insured. While at a clients home I will make sure the home stays cleaned up from the pet and goes on its normal scheduled walks and or care. While the pet is at my home it will have its own personal area that is kept well and it won't interact with our cats. Walks and playtime will be included.

About: I take care of pets for family when they need it and have experience caring for older pets, puppies, and those with special care instructions. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can take time to walk dogs during the day. I’m most available during the weekend and after 5 pm for over night boarding, but can potentially accommodate other schedules. I have no pets, so my home is perfect for less friendly pets. Crates will need to provided if they are needed for your pet, but I’m willing to keep up with their routine.

About: I am an avid animal lover. So when friends, family, and friends of friends have looked for pet sitters they come to me! I have experience with dogs as little as Chihuahuas to as big as Rottweilers and we all know who is more feisty ;) I work during the week but am available for walks after 5pm. I am available for boarding all day on the weekends or during the week if your pets are low-needs during the day! I have a private 3+ acre yard with a kenneled in area if needed. I have crates for my dogs and more than happy to crate yours if needed. I am willing to accommodate most needs/request as long as you are willing to communicate!
