I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: Hi there! My name is Catherine. I have grown up with dogs in my house and have always had a passion for animals. I always want to make sure your furry family members feel comfortable and loved while you’re away! I am reliable and make sure to communicate clearly when a problem arises, or just to send pictures because I know you miss your pet. I love going for walks around my neighborhood and make sure to give plenty of cuddles! I am in online school full-time, so I can your pet my full attention during the day. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I also do not mind your dog being on the furniture! I do not currently own a pets and I live in a smoke-free household.

About: I love cats. I have adopted a cat who was abandoned when a neighbor moved. He has changed my life. He is such a sweet boy and petting and brushing him is one of my favorite pass times. He was wary of humans at first but he has warmed up to me as well as my family members.
“I was worried about my cat since her brother had recently passed and I had to leave for a week. Tyler spent time with her to make sure she wasn't too lonely. It was very nice to not have to worry about her while I was away! Most cat sitters do not stay for the 30 min, but Tyler made sure she was well taken care of. :)”
About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. About: I’ve had a dog my entire life except for a few very lonely months in 2020 after I lost the love of my life, Romey, the naughtiest lab with the best sense of humor. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. About: I’ve had pets my whole life. I love dogs and cats. I love animals and have no problem spending my free time taking care of and playing with some fur babies. I have a pug that I've had since she was 6 weeks old. I also have a cat who I took in after his old owner abandoned him. I currently work full time Monday-Friday 8-5pm in Charlottesville. I am more than happy to stop by after work if needed or if you want me to stay at your place I can take care of the babies before heading to work to make sure they are fed and worked. Can work with a lot of schedules. I do make and sell jewelry so there may be a few weekend days where my availability is limited due to already committed to a craft show In my house I try and take my dog out every 2 hours. In the summer my pug is sensitive to heat so we do short walks around our driveway. She is a bit spoiled and will not go outside in the rain so I do also have experience cleaning up puppy pads and encouraging their use. My cat is both indoors and outdoors so he goes to the bathroom outside but also have a litter box inside I clean every few days for him.

I’m super active outside and love taking pups out on hikes or walks. My last dog had to take meds so I’m also extra sensitive to pups that may need more present care. About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

About: I have been a dog and cat owner/lover/advocate my whole life. I miss having my own pets so much so I pet sit during our travels and while we are home too! I’m a massage therapist and energy worker so animals LOVE my touch and calming presence. I’m very active and love long walks. I’m totally comfortable with large dogs. I have retired early so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to travel to pet sits. I tend to do pet sitting in Florida during the months of January and February. I love having dogs and cats in my home. There is a little river behind my house and the national forest and Sherando Lake Recreation Area is just beyond the river so there’s lots of space for long walks. Pets will get lots of loving care, tons of cuddles, and undivided attention while under my care and I will walk for as long and far as your dog (or cat) wants to.

She sent multiple pictures, videos, and texts every day. The dogs were in great shape when we picked them up and it was clear that that they had been very well cared for. It is so comforting to know that your beloved pets are in good hands and Hillary exudes that type of confidence in her care. “Amy did an amazing job taking care of our Luna! She did a great job communicating updates with plenty of pictures and videos. Luna got to go on hikes and became best friends with Amy’s sweet dog, Sylvie too! Amy had great attention to detail- Luna is a poodle so we always pack a brush in case it’s needed, but have no specific expectations with it, since it’s definitely labor of love! Amy is the first Rover sitter to actually brush her! We would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking to board their pup!”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

I love going for walks around my neighborhood and make sure to give plenty of cuddles! I am in online school full-time, so I can your pet my full attention during the day. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I also do not mind your dog being on the furniture! I do not currently own a pets and I live in a smoke-free household.

“Tiffanie was beyond amazing! Her kindness and love of animals was evident during our first "meet and greet." Leaving my anxious GSD was a concern, but Tiffanie's confident and compassionate manner easily quelled any fears. Tiffanie updated me daily with pics and provided daily walks in the park with my fur baby! Most noteworthy, however, was my pooch had reemerging symptoms appear of a recent medical condition and Tiffanie handled it compassionately and without complaint! She was a true blessing to both me and my pooch! I HIGHLY recommend her.”
