“Liss, Bertie & family took such great care of Charlie. Sending lots of photos & videos. I could tell Charlie was loved and had so much fun. Would not hesitate to book.”

“Cynthia made sure my fairly anxious dog, Obi, was well cared for! This is the first time I’ve left him with someone he doesn’t know, so I was worried at first. But Cynthia kept me updated the whole time I was gone and her pictures and quick updates made me feel so much better about being away from Obi!”

“Aly did a great job taking care of our dog and was very easy to communicate with. She sent pictures and treated my dog as if he was her own. Highly recommend!”
“Katina was amazing! 10/10 would recommend and use again. Her communication was great and the setup in her yard was perfect. It’s obvious that she knows and loves dogs. We have a very anxious dog and had no reservations leaving him with her. This was our puppy’s first socialization with other dogs too, and he seemed so happy in the video she sent and when we picked him up.”

“Lina and family were amazing, they took awesome care of Bella and I would absolutely book them again to pet sit my dog. She sent a lot of photos and communicated with us.”

“Paige took excellent care of my dog, Maggie, for over two weeks. She provided daily updates, photos, and videos, which gave me great peace of mind while traveling. Paige was also very helpful and flexible with scheduling, and she kindly accommodated an extension when I requested one. Maggie was treated like one of her own and had an absolute blast with Paige and her puppies. Thank you so much, Paige!”

“Paula is a wonderful, trustworthy sitter :) we left our puppy in her care for a week and have also dropped him off for daycare many times. She always provides detailed information about his day and even has offered suggestions/adjustments about behavior modification if needed.”

“Svitlana was so great with Birdie. She sent updates and pictures which really set our mind at ease because Birdie isn't used to being away from us for a long weekend. She took Birdie on walks and let her chill on the couch. Thanks for all your care with Birdie!”

“We were super concerned about needing to leave our beagle hound mix with a pet sitter for the first time, since he suffers from separation anxiety and has some eccentricities. Something about Mark & DJ's post was reassuring, and this was confirmed when we took our dog for a pre-visit. During our weekend away, Mark & DJ send lots of photos and updates, going the extra mile to help our pup feel at home and gain confidence. We are so grateful to Mark & DJ, and we'll definitely be reaching out to them again when our dog needs a sitter.”

“Heather was great and took such good care of my boy! I had to work very long hours and Heather very kindly worked with me to help the coordinate pick up/drop off best with my schedule. She sent frequent updates and pictures and I felt like she really cared about my boy while he was there. I would 100% recommend her to take care of your fur-baby!”

“We were very pleased with Jesse & Emily’s care for our pup. They clearly enjoyed keeping him and sent us multiple updates & photos. We particularly appreciated photos of their kids enjoying our pup’s company. We expect to be return clients.”

“Hope did a wonderful job taking care of Bella. She has a nice fenced backyard and sent me photo updates of Bella during the week. I felt confident that Bella was in good hands and I would leave her again with Hope.”

“Our doodle had a great visit with Christine and Charles. We received regular updates and pictures on how everything was going. Their location & setup provides everything a pet needs. Looking forward to using their services in the future.”

“Hillary has watched our dog three times and we’ve had wonderful experiences with each visit. I can tell that she has gotten to know our dog well and truly cares for her. Hillary communicates regularly with updates and photos that we really enjoy. I feel very comfortable when my dog is with Hillary and her family because I know she is safe and receiving a lot of love.”

“Nathan was beyond fabulous! He watched our five dogs while we went to go see my son graduate from college. The dogs were very happy and well taken care of. Would HIGHLY recommend Nathan to potential future clients. We will definitely be back!”

“Kara was easy to work with and flexible with drop off and pick up times. She truly enjoys dogs and cats, and her dog Bandit got along great with Fritz. I will be booking again with her.”

“A true gift. Mary watched over our senior dog with hip and knee issues. Flawlessly administered medication and provided frequent updates throughout the day. She gave our family the peace of mind that we were looking for. Truly the best dog sitter I have ever encountered and extremely kind to humans too, thank you Mary!!”

“Penny came home happy and healthy, after a long weekend of love, care, and playing with other dogs outside. I was periodically updated with photos of her adventures, which helped me enjoy my vacation and gave me peace of mind. Thank you for taking such great care of Penny Lane! We will definitely be back!”

“First time using Dakota while we vacationed for a week. She took care of our inside cat, a fish tank, outside chickens & collected our mail. She is friendly, prompt, responsive, trustworthy and competent. We had an issue with our cat & she was good at problem solving and communicating effectively. I’d use her again!”

About: I’ve had many animals since I was a kid. Dogs, cats, small animals, farm animals you name it. Which makes me very experienced in all types of care, dogs especially. I’ve handled dogs of all kinds; senior, puppies, timid, energetic etc. I work a part time job right in the town of orange and I am not scheduled any longer than six hours at a time. Although my work schedule is indefinite meaning I don’t work the same days or hours every week. To find out my availability simply message me and i’ll be more than happy to get back to you! I do not offer boarding at my home as I already have two dogs of my own and it would be a stress on my family to have additional pets.

About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. If you think your dog is aggressive, I can and will evaluate them so that if possible, we will get them socializing with their own kind and having a great time. Thanks, have a good day! I train dogs for a living so I stay at my house 7 days a week besides when I work with clients and those lessons tend to run about an hour but no more than 2 hours! I have 9 years experience running my own kennel and have two dogs with a large fence so there will be no boredom here! I do prefer to kennel dogs for the night but as we get comfortable with each other they will start to earn more freedom! Pet care is my full time job and i wouldn’t have it any other way, it has been a blessing. I hope I can help make your schedule less stressful! While you’re away, let your dogs play! I have a five foot fenced in dog yard specifically for dogs. We also have another 5 acres that we will walk all client dogs on during their stay with us.-

“Leaving our animals is always the most stressful part of a vacation, but we felt at ease knowing that Jocelyn was taking card of everything. She sent lots of photos and updates, responds quickly to any messages, and is always willing to help with anything that comes up. She is awesome!!”

“Victoria did a wonderful job caring for my two adult male cats and ~8 week old kitten for about 5 days. She was patient and has a keen attention to detail, especially with my helicopter-parent semi-neurotic novel of a instructions write-up. Overall, Victoria did an exceptional job caring for my furry children and I would seek her services again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Victoria!!! 🤗”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care I give every dog. I focus on trust, safety, routine, and affection, treating each pet like family—not just a booking. Pet care fits naturally into my daily schedule, as I have two dogs of my own who are in a routine. This will allow me to provide consistent attention, regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship without rushing or distractions throughout the day. I have two friendly pups of my own who will keep your pups comfortable. I will provide a calm, safe, and structured environment. I will follow their routines while providing supervision, affection, and a relaxed environment.

“Brayleigh is absolutely the best and so caring! She is extremely responsible--right from the initial meet and greet and continuing the entire 12 days she cared for my cat. Everyday, Brayleigh provided a little commentary about what Shadow did that day that made me smile! I am calling her again to care for my furry kids and to see when she can also watch/walk/care for my little 4 lb toy poodle. I am so incredibly lucky to have found her on Rover.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind and worked for a dog walking service in Charlottesville for a few years. I’ve worked with animals for about 7 years, I had four of my own dogs growing up and loved being around dogs. I love seeing all the cute pups out there. Happy to help with any needs; walking, sitting and drop ins! I’m currently a stay at home mom just looking for some extra outside/walking time. I love working with animals and seeing all my favorite dogs everyday! I’ve had experience dog sitting, can provide references. I love to meet before hand and get to know all of your dogs needs and how to properly care for them in the best way possible while your gone.
“Caroline was a great sitter! She took great care of our dog while we were at our wedding. She gave us peace of mind about our pup when we had a million other things going on! We would certainly use her services again.”
About: I have always had dogs and/cats in my life since a very young age. Dog sat for family members for weeks or months at a time. Assisted with a friend getting a service dog for two weeks. One of the best and most eye opening experiences. I am currently working part-time so I will have plenty of time to play, walk, and interact with your dogs or cats! I also travel a bit for work so I am available to do several different counties and areas. I can easily crate your dog or cat if it is needed. I am great with dogs on a leash and will let them run free if your yard is fenced in. I think it is so important for you animals to get some energy out and have a great time playing outside or inside.

About: I have cat sit multiple times for friends. Which means I know about cleaning out the litter, giving necessary medications, and giving all the pets needed. I understand that some cats can be timid and I know a thing or two about that so I am happy to be as patient as possible. I love cats just as much as dogs!
About: Hi! I’m Vanessa, and I’ve spent over a year working hands-on at a professional dog daycare and boarding facility here in Orange. That means I’m used to caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels — from bouncy puppies to mellow seniors. I’m currently offering dog walks and drop-in visits only. Whether your pup needs a quick potty break, a structured walk, or just some loving company while you’re away, I bring the same reliability and safety focus I use at the daycare. I also love adding enrichment — things like sniff-walks, interactive games, or even “report card” style updates so you know how their day went. I’m currently working a part-time job and my hours differ week to week. Some days it’s 7 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and other days it’ll be from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m! Mondays are my busiest day of the week, so I can’t fit much into that day, but you can always still message me and I can see what I can do! In a client’s home, I always follow your pup’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure. For drop-in visits, that might include letting them out for a potty break, refreshing food and water, giving medications if needed, and spending quality time playing, cuddling, or just keeping them company. I make sure to leave everything tidy and send photo updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. For dog walks, I focus on safety and fun. I use secure leashes/harnesses, keep a close eye on the environment, and adjust the pace to match your dog’s age and energy level — whether that’s a brisk stroll or a relaxed sniff walk. My goal is always to make sure your pet gets the exercise, attention, and care they deserve while giving you peace of mind.

“I could tell even before i met Chrissa that Gus would have a good day care experience. . He has only been a few times and she is so good with giving him his space and letting decide when hes ready to play. She alsk works with dogs with behavior management. I would recommend Chrassas daycare and boarding.”

“Paula provided just what we needed for our Chihuahua—a safe place to stay while we were in town for lunch. Our venue was not dog friendly, but knowing that our pup was being well cared for put our minds at ease.”

“They were super helpful and caring. They understand dog thinking and went out of their way to accommodate the walk we had to do because we were pulling a camper. Definitely recommend!”

“Nathan was incredible. He got back to us with answers to our questions. He sent us pictures and updates throughout the day, we used him for doggy daycare. We will definitely be using him again.”

I’m currently transitioning from my work-from-home position to boarding dogs full-time, which allows me to provide constant supervision, structure, and plenty of love and attention. Your pup will never feel alone and will always be treated like part of the family. Dog boarding in my home is set up in a dedicated, clean, and comfortable space in my basement. “Mary and her family did such an amazing job taking care of Buttercup. I definitely felt very comfortable each day and prior to booking. Mary worked with my early morning drop offs and long work hours which is much appreciated. The frequent pictures and updates were an added bonus. I definitely look forward to booking in the future! Thank you so much again”

“Emil provided a nice experience for our two Cavachon's. This was our first experience using Rover as we began a long trip south. I admit I was a bit anxious with first time leaving dogs with someone they never met but Emil had good reviews. We used Emil's services for a half day as we visited Monticello. On our way we had car trouble and our trip was delayed and Emil was flexible moving the morning sitting to the afternoon. Our dogs seemed content when we returned.”

“Jenny watched my Lincoln today and was AMAZING. She was so responsive and easy to work with. She asked enough questions that it was obvious she really cared that my pup was comfortable and happy. She also sent me updates and pictures throughout the day including ones of him snuggled up on the couch so I know he was cozy. We would 100% recommend her.”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. My girls Piper, Ella and Shelby are my world. I love these dogs like they are children. They are spoiled I will admit. I also have taken care of my friends dogs for years while they have been out of town and my house as "Aunt Paige's Doggie Camp" All my dogs I have brought up from puppies. I have house trained them, crate trained them and trained them on the invisible fence for the yard. They always get lots of love and have lots of toys to play with, both inside and outside. I work from home, so I'm always here to take them out and take care of them. My dogs are always outside when it's not too hot or the weather is bad. I live on a quite street which ends in a cul-da-sak. So I will walk them at least 2 times a day The most important thing is they must get along with other dogs. I have a invisible fence in my yard and can certainly put your dog on it if they are trained on one. Otherwise I will go out with them and walk them. If they are well trained and can be lose a return on command they can play in the yard with my girls.

About: • Most dogs like me (and i like most dogs :)) • All energy levels welcomed • I have raised 4 dogs of my own • Bachelors degree in Veterinary Bioscience • Worked in the veterinary field for the past 4 years • I’m responsible and good at time management • Even with a busy schedule, I will make sure your dog gets the attention he/she needs • No dog intimidates me ( all breeds and sizes are welcome) • I will always have your dogs best interest at heart I have 4 dogs of my own; 2 husky mixes, 1 pittie mix, and 1 beagle. My fiancé and I take care of them together, but much of the day to day things fall onto my plate. So, I have 4 very different dogs with 4 different needs, wants, and energy levels. On top of this, I also work in the veterinary field and have for the past couple years. Taking care of animals is something I literally do 24/7 and absolutely love it. With my personal pets, I make sure that all of them get love every day. Also, I try and get them some type of exercise. Living in Virginia, the weather is the biggest challenge. We go from negative temperature to triple digits within the year. In the times when the weather is being trying, I try and make sure my dogs get more mental exercise to combat the lesser physical exercise. With all that said, I would do the same with a clients pet. I would treat them as my own and give them the best quality care while they are with me.

She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all ages and provided medications when needed including pills, eye drops, and shots! I also am flexible to what your pet’s routine already is! I’m home for summers from college (Go Dukes) and I’ve always loved animals, so pet-sitting is my only job over this time! I’m available all days throughout the week! When you’re vacationing in the summer I will look after your pets and give you peace of mind with pictures I take of them and I always leave your house looking like I was never even there!

About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid! I recently have been working as a nanny and that has involved light care for pets as well, my current duties are walking the two dogs and feeding them treats and filling water bowls. I am very loving and caring. My previous job involved feeding and letting the pup out in the back yard to play and to help keep track of certain habits due to the dog having food allergies. I am so fond of animals as a whole that my future goal is to buy a house with lots of land and do free lance dog boarding! I would love to help your family with your pet’s needs! Hope to work with you soon!

“I had a last minute emergency need for a dog walker for a pup that can be afraid of walking near cars, and had never met Caroline before. Unfortunately, I could not arrange for a meetup beforehand. Caroline was accommodating and understanding when Poppy did not want to walk on the second day, so instead she played with her in our yard. Thank you Caroline for filling this massive need for us and removing a big anxiety for us!”

About: I have been a pet owner for over 15 years and have experience working with terminally ill cats and dogs. I also have been trained under vets both in-clinic and out of clinic. I currently work part time a couple hours with horses in barn and an Australian Shepherd. So I have ample time to spend with your fur babies at home. I am an energetic person, so I love to go for walks, spend ample time outside playing fetch and other stimulating games. I also enjoy water play if the fur babies enjoy water.
About: I have 2 dogs currently, and have had lots of different pets growing up. I have cat and dog sat for family and neighbors. I have also taken care of and helped out with foster kitties. I am currently working part time in the evenings and doing online school. I am available some full days of the week, every morning, mid day, or overnight. I am currently not able to bring client pets to my home. I am able to go to client houses during the day or overnight as needed.

“This is a long over due review! I left my pup with Joey for about half a week and he is great. The Instagram stories are a great and creative way to show what your pup is up to! But more importantly he understands dog behavior. If you are considering him for any services at all, let this be your sign to stress no longer!!”

“Heather is super responsive and takes your pet’s needs seriously. My pup is sweet but has some anxiety issues—Heather thoughtfully supported all of his needs while providing lots of pictures and updates to ease my mind while he was under her care. Highly recommended… will definitely be booking again!”

“Heather did an amazing job with my rescue girl. I was a nervous wreck leaving her but had to travel for work. My girl settled right in and I got the cutest updates. Heather knows how to deal with my quirky dork of a pup. She was patient with her and made her feel like she was home. My girl is tired and happy. I will definitely use Heather in the future for my boarding needs.”

“We have tried several Rovers - no need to keep looking, our pup will always stay with Robin and yours should too. We had to drop him off with an infected paw, Robin sent lots of pictures, kept it clean, and made sure he got his medication. He came home tired from all the play time but not stressed like he has been when left with other people. Can’t recommend Robin enough!”

“I cannot say enough good things about the care Jocelin and Christian provided for my Kylo. I was so nervous to board him for a whole week, but I seriously think he had an even better vacation than I did! Jocelin sent me so many pictures, videos, and was so active with him! She truly treats the dogs in her care as if they were her own family and I would recommend her to anybody. Kylo is looking forward to the next time he gets to see you and thank you again for taking such great care of our pup! 🐕🦺🩷”
