Their comms were very clear and timely, they definitely know what they are doing in terms of thinking forward about how to give your dog the best experience and to give you peace of mind while they are being boarded there. “Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”

About: I've pet sit for my friends dogs and have raised a corgi puppy from 10 weeks old! I love dogs and will treat yours like mine. I have a playful and friendly corgi who plays well with all dogs. Plus I give excellent scratches. I will send a bunch of photos, as long as you don’t mind me spamming you with them! We do at least 3 walks a day, dog parks after work, and fun adventures on the weekends. Normally we eat breakfast around 8:30, go for a potty walk, and play. During the weekday, I take them out every 4 hours and do mental puzzles at home. If the weather is nice, we will go to a nearby dog park. On weekends, we tend to go out for outdoor adventures if the weather is nice I live in an apartment with ample walking nearby. Super dog friendly neighborhood. We have space to set up crates if needed. I am a neat person and will clean up after myself and the dogs. Since I live in an apartment, if your dog is reactive to noise outside the door, I recommend making that a consideration

Our puppy was incredibly shy but just a couple days with Shayla and she really came out of her shell. Shayla has such a natural gift for caring for animals and her house has an awesome yard and secure setup. We let her know about our concerns about our older dog being an escape artist and she walked us through the various measures in place to ensure his safety including she has even worked on threshold manners when him so he doesn’t walk through the door until he’s told it’s okay to. She also knows just how to manage my puppy’s anxiety and doesn’t see her anxiety as a hassle but is instead so empathetic and dedicated to building her confidence. She introduced our dogs to her dogs over time and in a way that didn’t stress my puppy out. She takes them on lots of walks and they come back from day care happy and tired!”

About: My interest in dogs started 5 years when I became a dog musher in the winters! Then I signed up as a weekly volunteer with my local dog shelter. About: Safely get my Persian cat over multiple infections and spay. The house will only host one dog at a time. Communicate daily with videos and pictures. Attention to details and following careful instructions if needed. I work from home three days a week. I generally have time after 5pm on weekdays and free during weekend for drop in visits. About: I am a dog lover looking for extra income. I live by myself with my dog. He is a service dog and we do everything together. I grew up with 2 rotties and a boxer so i am very comfortable with larger dog breeds. We hike every single day about 5 miles a day, so we do lead very active lifestyle. If your pet needs senior care, we will adjust. I work for myself, so I make my own schedule and have time to care for your dog as well. I work for myself so I make my own hours. I usually work about 4 hours a day Tuesday to Friday. I am off Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Safety is my #1 priority whether its your dog or mine. I take away toys and bulky sticks if I leave the house so they dont choke on things by accident. I have a crate in case I dog sit a nervous dog so it can relax and get much needed rest in between walks. I am also big into training and reading dogs body language to avoid conflict. If the dog we are sitting is nervous around other dogs, then I make sure we skip socializing with other dogs and focus on training to help build confidence

But this is great for you because I'll have plenty of time for your pets! (Not so great for the gas bill however...) It also means I have a very flexible schedule and can bend to your scheduling needs. I'm certain we can work out a time that works for both of us. I was in the Navy and the NSA and held a Top-Secret Clearance for over six years. (They don't just give those things out to anyone.) But if that's not enough to get you to feel safe, I'm also CPR certified, was an EMT, and have experience watching pets of family and friends for years and nothing bad has ever happened.
About: I've had 2 dogs in the family for 10+ years now and understand the challenges of wanting the best exercise for your best friend while being very busy. Aside from that, I've had/have bunnies, birds and a cat and am expert in cat body language, bird calls and bunny thumps - so you can say I'm multi-lingual and very safety-conscientious (: Please never hesitate to ask me questions or for any updates on your baby - I'm always ready to send a quick text back or send pictures! I also want to say that i'm down to care for almost any pet - cats, dogs, bunnies, birds, rats, etc. 🥰 My only exceptions would be anything venomous or feeding live/dead feed (bugs, rats to snakes). My best times to walk are during lunchtime (12-2) or after work hours (past 5PM). I can also pet sit/drop in on your pets at anytime. ☺️ My pets get daily enrichment with an abundance of toys that get switched out pretty often. I'm also researching/watching videos on how to better take care of our friends! For dog walking, it'll depend on your preference - I'm flexible.

Their comms were very clear and timely, they definitely know what they are doing in terms of thinking forward about how to give your dog the best experience and to give you peace of mind while they are being boarded there. Both their home and their yard are well-tended - no hazards for dogs like wires, broken boards, etc. They were also flexible in terms of dropoff/pickup times, as well as accommodating reasonable requests for toys, treats, and food options. They also allowed a friend of mine and their dog (who recommended me to Helena and Nathan) to stop by for a short playdate. Great experience and will book again!”
