“I have used pet sitters from Rover many times, but Loreen is by far the best. I had to leave my dog with Loreen for a night to attend an extended family birthday party for my brother in McLean. Her house was really close to the hotel we stayed in, in a very convenient location. For a short one-night stay, she sent us an impressive total of 17 photos and 8 videos of my dog offering a comprehensive view of his well-being. She let him sleep in the bed with her as he does with us in our house. She was very attentive and cuddles my dog. The most impressive about her is her response time to my message or phone calls. She always got back to me instantly. My only regret is that we live in Blue Bell, PA and she in McLean, VA. Nevertheless, for future visits to my brother in VA requiring pet care, Loreen will be my unequivocal choice.”

“Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”

About: I've pet sit for my friends dogs and have raised a corgi puppy from 10 weeks old! I love dogs and will treat yours like mine. I have a playful and friendly corgi who plays well with all dogs. Plus I give excellent scratches. I will send a bunch of photos, as long as you don’t mind me spamming you with them! We do at least 3 walks a day, dog parks after work, and fun adventures on the weekends. Normally we eat breakfast around 8:30, go for a potty walk, and play. During the weekday, I take them out every 4 hours and do mental puzzles at home. If the weather is nice, we will go to a nearby dog park. On weekends, we tend to go out for outdoor adventures if the weather is nice I live in an apartment with ample walking nearby. Super dog friendly neighborhood. We have space to set up crates if needed. I am a neat person and will clean up after myself and the dogs.

She has a nice home where she can separate large dogs from small dogs, and she makes her home an environment where dogs can easily coexist (no toys lying around for Tilly to take and guard). She gave Tilly lots of water and plenty of potty breaks, even in the rain. She took lots of pictures, and she gave me a report card for the visit (thankfully Tilly was well behaved the whole time). About: I once took care of a puppy of a friend of mine for 2 weeks, I’ve been surrounded my dogs for my whole life. I make sure dogs are comfortable and ensure they are okay with me petting them, dogs have boundaries and deserve respect. I feed my dogs everyday twice a day. They spend a lot of time in the backyard but during the summer the goldendoodle doesn’t stay out for long to avoid overheating. I have a fenced yard, and i have a lot of treats, we also ensure to feed them in scheduled times. I can walk a dog as long as the dog would like!

About: Grew up with both dogs and cats and learned to read the little ways they communicate. I'll be sure to treat them as my own but under your specific guidance and instruction, making sure they're comfortable and cared for while you're away. I can get them moving, tucker them out, or just give them belly pats until you're home—either way, I'm sure they'll have fun! I'm a writer by day, which basically means I'm 'unemployed.' But this is great for you because I'll have plenty of time for your pets! (Not so great for the gas bill however...) It also means I have a very flexible schedule and can bend to your scheduling needs. I'm certain we can work out a time that works for both of us. I was in the Navy and the NSA and held a Top-Secret Clearance for over six years. (They don't just give those things out to anyone.) But if that's not enough to get you to feel safe, I'm also CPR certified, was an EMT, and have experience watching pets of family and friends for years and nothing bad has ever happened.
About: I absolutely love taking care of my family's dogs! I especially enjoy going for walks with them when I'm at home. I absolutely love taking care of dogs! They depend on us for their needs and affection, especially when they're in a new environment. It's so rewarding to give them the love and care they deserve! I'm available before 7 a.m. and after 10 a.m. to go for a walk! I'll make sure to take them for a walk in the perfect weather, so they're not too cold or too hot. I love going for long walks before 3 or after 6 in the afternoon! I have a small dog, and he is part of my family! In my house, the dogs will have a space where we will receive them with the same affection as our dog. He will be free to walk all over the house, he will have his place to be fed, and a comfortable space to take a nap! We are flexible with our schedules because we understand that sometimes there are last minute activities that are out of our control. Your dog will receive all the care it needs, including proper feeding and walks, according to its routine. The house we live in is part of an excellent community. The complex is enclosed and has open spaces for pets to walk, which makes the area safe and quiet.

Her house was really close to the hotel we stayed in, in a very convenient location. For a short one-night stay, she sent us an impressive total of 17 photos and 8 videos of my dog offering a comprehensive view of his well-being. She let him sleep in the bed with her as he does with us in our house. She was very attentive and cuddles my dog. The most impressive about her is her response time to my message or phone calls. Nevertheless, for future visits to my brother in VA requiring pet care, Loreen will be my unequivocal choice.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities over the years. I raised my own dog from puppyhood and also have experience fostering, so I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, crates, and keeping up with your dog’s normal routine. I know how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust with your pet, so I’ll treat them like they’re my own and keep you updated while they’re in my care. I’m also comfortable with multiple-dog households and dogs that may need a little extra patience and attention. I work from home full-time, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I’m also able to accommodate many last-minute requests. If you happen to live in my building or nearby, even better — I’m happy to help with quick walks, drop-ins, or care when something comes up unexpectedly. I live in a secure high-rise and provide a calm, clean environment where your dog will get plenty of individual attention. I’m comfortable following whatever routine your dog is used to, including feeding schedules, walks, crate routines, and any house rules you have in place. I’m very mindful about leash safety, elevators, doors, and interactions with other dogs, and I’ll always keep you updated so you know your pup is safe and happy.
