About: I offer a calm, attentive, and personalized care experience for both cats and dogs in the Tysons, McLean, and Great Falls area. With over 6 years of combined experience, I take time to understand each pet’s rhythm — from gentle brushing and quiet companionship to playful moments and frequent photo updates. My goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. I work from home, so I have plenty of time during the week to care for your pets and give them lots of love and attention. On weekends, I love being outdoors—if your dog enjoys adventures, I’d be happy to bring them along for some fun and fresh air! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine closely, keep the environment safe and clean, and treat your space with care. I provide regular photo updates so you always feel connected. I occasionally offer boarding at my home for small dogs and cats who can peacefully coexist with my friendly resident cat. I do slow, careful introductions to ensure a stress-free stay. Please note that I do not board large dogs.

“Barb, The Relief Every Pet Owner Needs Over the years, I grew increasingly scared to leave my 3 cats in a stranger's care. If needed I always drove them to my parents but it became clear that the roadtrip stressed them out more than if I had just left them at home and had a stranger come by the house. As a 1st time Rover user, Barb was a perfect find! She made the whole process unbelievably breezy. She very punctual to the meet and greet she set up the same day I sent my request. I ran her through the cat's litter and feeding schedule and already felt good about her. Immediately after this meet and greet, she sent me a screenshot of the notes she took afterwards which were notes on the food/water/litter instructions we had discussed for the brief meet. This really sealed it for me; not only did Barb exhibit great memory recall but also great attention to detail which is certainly needed in pet care. I had Barb check in twice a day for my 3 cats for a total of 9 days. She is very punctual to the times discussed and an expert with sending photos of furry loved ones to ease anxieties. She also made sure I was made aware of any event that occurred immediately in the Rover Card for that very check-in time. When responding to her or asking her questions she was quick and attentive with her responses. One of my cats loves to escape and is a bit of a "queen of the house" type of cat so she gets a bit protective of "her home" and after giving Barb some tips and tricks in what we do, my cat became calmer and more accepting of Barb as more check-ins occurred. They grew closer towards the end which is a testament of Barb's personality and care qualities. My other 2 cats are shy ones so there was a worry that we wouldn't be able to confirm if they were eating or not. But eventually Barb's calm and gentle presence coaxed them out enough to be spotted for a food grab or a hydration stop every now and then. Overall, having Barb as a first time Rover sitter and first time pet sitter was a perfect match and I feel lucky to have had her watching over my pets.”

About: I've pet sit for my friends dogs and have raised a corgi puppy from 10 weeks old! I love dogs and will treat yours like mine. I have a playful and friendly corgi who plays well with all dogs. Plus I give excellent scratches. I will send a bunch of photos, as long as you don’t mind me spamming you with them! We do at least 3 walks a day, dog parks after work, and fun adventures on the weekends. Normally we eat breakfast around 8:30, go for a potty walk, and play. During the weekday, I take them out every 4 hours and do mental puzzles at home. If the weather is nice, we will go to a nearby dog park. On weekends, we tend to go out for outdoor adventures if the weather is nice I live in an apartment with ample walking nearby. Super dog friendly neighborhood. We have space to set up crates if needed. I am a neat person and will clean up after myself and the dogs.

About: We have always been around with dogs and have genuine love for them. We have a beagle mix (TOTO) and he loves running and playing with other dogs! We also have experience taking care of dogs and cats for our friends. Except for running basic errands, we will be home with your pets almost 24/7. I’m currently working fully remotely from home and my husband’s work schedule is also flexible, so we will spend a lot of time with your pups! Our day starts around 8AM and we do a 30-min walk then breakfast. We have a fenced backyard and your dogs will have free access to it. We offer playtime throughout the day as well. Around 6PM we have another walk for about 40 min and then dinner. Around 11PM we do another bathroom break before bed. 1. Daily Routine -We can feed according to your schedule and dietary instructions. -We usually do two long walks (30-45 min) per day and let our dog go out to backyard a couple times or whenever he wants to. So we will make sure your pet(s) have two (or more if needed) walks and let them have regular potty breaks in backyard throughout the day. 2. Exercise & Enrichment -Feel free to bring your own toys and we will also offer toys and play games with your pets. -Our dog loves playing with dogs too and he’s full of energy so I’m sure your pups won’t get bored! 3. Safe Environment -We have a fenced backyard to let your dogs run and explore! -We have multiple rooms so we can separate dogs if needed.

Our dachshund isn’t the easiest dog, she struggles with separation anxiety and confidence. Lucky for us, Sang and Hee Suk raised a dachshund for many years and so they were SUPER understanding and patient with our dogs needs. Communication was great— both before and during our dogs visit. We never once worried about her during our time away, knowing she was in such loving hands. Our pup came home happy, healthy, and calm, which is the best sign of a great experience. About: For as long as I've remembered I've been around animals. I grew up with a yorkie named Paco and shortly after turning 5 I had the chance to help raise my next dog, a shih tzu named Pebbles who we got when she was 11 weeks old. I often cared for them by taking them on walks, giving them baths, feeding them, and overall giving them love and entertainment. In 2019 my family decided to get another dog after Paco passed away. This time we settled on a golden retriever, Terra. Now that I was older I was able to take full responsibility for her. I taught her all the tricks she knows. I'd take her out to swim and walk around the neighborhood. I'd even hand feed her and Pebbles when they would be super picky about their food. I'd also take care of my neighbors cat when she was away on vacation as well as feed the stray cat that often visited my backyard. Aside from cats and dogs I've had many other pets such as birds, hamsters, rabbits, turtles and more. Animals are a very important aspect in my life. My desire to care and love them is extremely strong. I currently have a flexible, mostly remote 9-to-5 job. Because I work from home, my daily routine revolves comfortably around pet care. I love taking breaks between my meetings to give pets some fresh air, a quick walk, or just a good scratch behind the ears. Before work, after work, and throughout the weekends, my schedule is wide open for longer adventures and dedicated playtime. Safety and open communication are my top priorities. When I am visiting or staying at a client's house, my goal is to keep the pet's routine as normal as possible so they feel secure. I always double check that doors, gates, and harnesses are completely secure before and after walks. I am highly respectful of the client's space and make sure to leave the home exactly as I found it. Their comms were very clear and timely, they definitely know what they are doing in terms of thinking forward about how to give your dog the best experience and to give you peace of mind while they are being boarded there. Both their home and their yard are well-tended - no hazards for dogs like wires, broken boards, etc. They were also flexible in terms of dropoff/pickup times, as well as accommodating reasonable requests for toys, treats, and food options. They also allowed a friend of mine and their dog (who recommended me to Helena and Nathan) to stop by for a short playdate. Great experience and will book again!”
