“I cant say enough good things about Myrna. She took exceptional care of my senior pup and went above and beyond to make him feel safe, comfortable, and loved during his stay. My dog has some incontinence issues and can be very attached to his people. Myrna was incredibly understanding, accomidating, and patient with his special needs. Thank you!”

“It was our first time leaving our dog Lucy with Michelle and Lucy had a wonderful time and Michelle took great care of of her. I really appreciated the daily updates and pictures on how Lucy was doing. We were gone for a week and I felt comfortable and confident leaving Lucy in her care. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog sitter!”

“Michaela was absolutely fantastic with Zephyr and it was so clear he had such a great time with her this weekend! During our stay she sent tons of pictures to keep me updated on what Zeph was up to and was very communicative throughout the whole rover process. We met ahead of time during a meet and greet where Zeph got tons of time to get to know his new aunt Michaela and vice versa and it was clear to see how great she was with handling him from the start. We will absolutely be back and are so happy to have met you! Thanks so much for taking such great care of Zephyr!”
“Miguel and his wife were absolutely incredible! From the moment I connected with them, I could tell how genuinely kind, warm, and caring they are. My flight was delayed by four hours, and without hesitation they adjusted their schedule to accommodate me, which meant more than I can express. This was my very first time ever leaving my puppy alone, so I was naturally anxious and emotional, but they completely put my heart at ease. They sent frequent updates, photos, and sweet messages about how my puppy was doing, allowing me to truly relax and enjoy a peaceful, worry-free vacation. It was so comforting to see how loved, safe, and happy my pup was in their care — they truly treat the dogs as if they were their own. I am beyond grateful for the patience, flexibility, and genuine love they showed, and I trust them wholeheartedly. I will absolutely be using them again and highly, highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional care! 🐾💕”

“As always, Matt is a fantastic dogsitter. He took great care of our Dalmatian and Dachshund while we were out of the country, even giving extra love and TLC to our little girl when she had some tummy upset.”

“Aaren and Jordon are practically family now. This is the second time they have watched my girl and they take the BEST care of her. They love on her, make sure she is getting fresh air, and even take her on outings. I almost hesitated to write this review because I don’t want yall to know how great they are and then start taking all to spots - just kidding! I can’t be selfish! Everyone deserves to feel the peace I feel when my pup stays with them ❤️.”

“I couldn't be happier with Stacey and the way she cared for my Gonzo. I am always apprehensive leaving Gonzo with someone new, and I've never left him with a sitter who had dogs bigger than he is. But Stacey just loved on Gonzo and made him feel safe and comfortable in her home. He had full access to her huge fenced in yard, a private room for when he wanted alone time, and he spent most of the day on Stacey's heels, or cuddled up next to her on the sofa. Stacey keep me posted daily with photos and little tidbits of info that made me feel comfortable that he was doing just fine for the 4 days we were away. The thing that impressed me most was that on the day we arrived to pick Gonzo up and take him home, while we were packing up his belongings, he leaped up onto Stacey's lap. Clearly, he was very comfortable with her! I highly recommend Stacey and we will definitely use her again.”

About: For the last 5 years, I've been volunteering care for a herd of goats on Gillie's Creek Park. I am also the primary farm sitter for several friends' homesteads and a frequent pet sitter for friends and acquaintances. I have a broad range of experience: handling elderly animal care, newborn feeding/monitoring, pet anxiety, unique medication/feeding schedules, and general care for most farm/domesticated animals. I have a deep love for animals and their welfare with a desire to assist you and your pet in any way possible. I'm currently working part-time with a very flexible schedule. Typically not away from home for more than 3 hours at a time during marked available hours. My schedule can be adjustable if coordinating in advance. If caring in your home, I ensure that all items are back where they were originally left and that all feeding bowls and areas accessed are cleaned and organized. My home has a fenced-in yard, plenty of plants, natural lighting, and no other pets to contend for attention or food.

“Hilary was an amazing sitter for my girl, she took her for runs, played extensively and even made time to always keep me informed. I would trust her again and again and really appreciate the peace of mind she offered while I was away. ❤️”

“Julie took such good care of my energetic girl Indi! She seemed to be right at home in all of the pictures and got some good run time in in their spacious backyard. Definitely will be booking again!”

“I was able to enjoy a glorious long weekend because I knew my two dogs were happy and spoiled with Emily. Both my dogs (age 7 & 6) had NEVER been boarded or kenneled before, so I was nervous that they'd be anxious and upset, but they came home absolutely happy and contented after staying with her. She was kind enough to provide twice-daily feedback about their walks, sleep schedule, and general wellbeing, and that helped me relax and enjoy myself. My dogs sleep on the bed at home, and I chose Emily because she was going to be with them at night and because she has so many repeat customers; that tells me all I need to know! Emily is worth her weight in gold. Luka and Teddy had a safe and happy get-away of their own. Thanks so much, Emily!”

“Nicole was super easy to communicate with, and made sure to get as much information as possible to ensure an easy stay. She obviously cares very deeply about the pets entrusted to her care, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again.”

“I’m so happy to have found Jonathan on Rover! He is accommodating and sends updates on how my dog is doing (along with pics and videos!) He always responds in a timely manner and makes pick up/drop off a breeze. Would definitely recommend!”

“Kendra is the best! Yasha loves her and Gizmo and lights up whenever I tell her she is going to see them. She is personable and treats my baby like her own!”

“She was great! I left my pup with her for two weeks and she sent me updates of him daily. She even bathed him 3 times and I was happy that he also had other dogs to play with and kept him busy. I definitely recommend her and will be coming back for my future trips 😁”

“I had a great experience with this sitter and would absolutely book again. They were reliable, professional, and clearly cared about my dog’s comfort and well-being. Communication was consistent throughout, and I appreciated the updates and attention to detail. My dog came back happy, well cared for, and in great condition, which says everything. It’s not easy trusting someone with your pet, but they made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dependable and attentive sitter.”

“Robin did an incredible job with my two kitties! She checked on them right on time when I asked and always sent lots of pictures to assure me they were doing great. She went above and beyond to make sure they had the right wet food and even cleaned up the litter boxes. Thanks so much, Robin!”

“Alyssa really helped us out when our cat unfortunately became sick on our trip. She was very communicative about her progress and took all of our suggestions to help and gave her extra care until she started feeling better! Thank you Alyssa!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can’t say enough wonderful things about Miguel and his wife! They took amazing care of my fur baby, Church, for the past three days, and the experience was absolutely delightful. From the moment we met, Miguel made sure that Church felt comfortable and safe, even introducing him to their own dog to help them get along. His understanding of dog language, especially with big dogs like mine, is truly impressive. Miguel and his wife are such pleasant, caring people. They kept me informed every step of the way, sending updates and even videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. They’re incredibly accommodating, even fitting us in on short notice, which I really appreciated. Church came back home happy, tired, and clearly well-loved. I could tell he had a great time because he’s been so content and relaxed. I’m beyond grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and the genuine care they showed my dog. “Great with my little one she is old and spoiled Chihuahua and she just keeps getting spoiled. Loves the yard to run in and play with the bigger dogs sometimes. But the best part is she is worn out by the time we get home. And they are so flexible with my crazy schedule.”

“Myrna is a great sitter. She has taken excellent care of Starbuck. We have scheduled doggie day care and boarding. Myrna's schedule is flexible and she works with us on drop off and pickup times. We will continue to use Myrna's services.”

About: Lifetime lover of furry animal friends - adopting my puggle and in turn, her puppy sister/bff the Norfolk Terrier were easily the two best decisions I ever made. You can rest assured that your doggies are safe, comfortable and pawtying down with me by their side. My girls have warm blankets waiting in the dryer when we come in from cold walks. I believe in going a few extra miles to truly spoil our fur ball angel nuggets bc why not? Being greeted by them when you walk through the door is the best thing ever and I have been caring for animals the majority of my life. This is the most rewarding, satisfying and not to mention FUN "job" of all time, pick me
About: I’ve had my dog for nearly a year and I’ve had foster pups come through here in that time as well. But plenty of past experience with pups! I do weekends so I can spend more time with the dogs since I work full time. Exceptions can be made for weekly watching if you are okay with that schedule. I would let them out often and feed them at the times you instruct me to. I will also cuddle with them if they allow.
“Michelle took good care of my pup. Her dog Milo is a sweetie. She has a nice yard for them to play in and my dog also enjoyed relaxing by her side on the couch.”

“Despite the late request, Ross answered very quickly and was able to arrange a brief meeting the same night for Murdoch and his dog to meet. The day after, we left Murdoch with Ross and Ava and everything went monthly with a few pictures of Murdoch's day. I recommend Ross and Ava !”

I have a job but I make my own schedule so my time varies but not as much. I will make your dog a priority. Our experience will only help your pet grow! I have a lot of time due to making my own schedule during the day. I rarely leave home so I have a lot of time to give attention I don’t have a fenced in yard but I have tons of space out back and we can walk as many times as your pup needs

About: Caring for animals has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have owned cats and dogs, walked dogs during college, volunteered at a shelter, and have experience across different life stages and breeds. I can read body language to know when a pet wants company and when they need space. When caring for pets I prioritize following the pet's specific routine and needs. This includes adhering to feeding schedules, ensuring fresh water is always available, and adjusting meals for any dietary restrictions. I provide regular exercise and playtime while keeping the environment safe and pet-proofed. I monitor for signs of illness, can administer medications if necessary, and maintain cleanliness, like cleaning litter boxes and brushing fur. I offer comfort and affection for each pet, creating a calm space for relaxation, especially for pets with separation anxiety, to ensure their well-being. I work from home so your pet will have companionship throughout the day. I also offer walks and drop-in visits, great for a midday potty break, extra exercise, or a quick check-in while you're at work. I send photo and video updates every visit so you always know how your pet is doing, and I'm happy to set up a recurring weekly schedule. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. I can easily integrate feeding, walks, playtime, and cuddle sessions into my schedule. Whether it's letting pets out for bathroom breaks, refreshing water bowls, or simply being there to offer comfort and companionship, I can provide pets with consistent care and attention all day long. My flexible routine also means I can adapt to each pet's specific needs and make sure they feel safe, loved, and part of the household. When caring for pets, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a comforting environment. I ensure all spaces are pet-proofed, keep routines consistent, and supervise pets closely to prevent accidents or stress. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm space. While in a client's home, I respect their space, follow all care instructions closely, and keep their home secure. I build trust through consistent communication, photo updates, and gentle, attentive care.

About: I’ve always been an animal person and have experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own ball python. I grew up with an Australian Shepherd who can be very anxious, so I’m used to being patient with nervous pets and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’ve pet sat for animals of all different temperaments, including a cat with a more aggressive personality, so I understand the importance of respecting each animal’s boundaries and adapting to their individual needs. I love spending time outdoors and taking walks, and I know the Richmond area well. With two years of professional housekeeping experience, I’m comfortable caring for both pets and homes with the same level of respect and attention to detail I’d want for my own. My goal is to provide dependable care for both your pet and your home, while making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away! I work about 20 hours a week as an esthetician and make my own schedule, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Because I set my own hours, I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so I would love to fit pet care into my routine. I believe every pet is different, so I do my best to follow their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while keeping up with their feeding schedule and any specific instructions you provide. For cats staying in my home, I’ll provide a calm, safe environment where they can settle in at their own pace. Having lived with multiple cats of various personalities, I understand that some cats are social while others prefer their space, and I’m happy to accommodate both! I will stay in regular communication, providing updates and photos so you always know how they’re doing!
“Kacey was great! Professional, responsible, and highly communicative. Most importantly, the dogs immediately loved her! Would definitely hire again.”

“Emily is great! Had an incredibly busy day at work today and wasn’t able to spend my usual amount of time outside with Bonny. Emily showed up on a moment’s notice and did a great job with her. Greatly appreciative!”

“Heather was absolutely amazing with our sweet but skittish dog! She took very great care of her and made sure she got plenty of sniffs in! Heather also took my last minute booking which was incredible! We will definitely be rebooking!!”

“Maria and Luis provided excellent care for our 15.5 year old dog. They gave her the slow walks she needed, food and medicine. She was very content when we got home after a 7-day getaway. I highly recommend them.”

About: Hi! I’m Kristy, and caring for animals has always been one of my favorite things. As both a dog and cat owner, I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your furry family members. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities—including senior pets and those with special medical needs. I’m comfortable giving medications, following special diets, and caring for pets who need a little extra patience, attention, or reassurance. Having cared for my own pets through health challenges, I’ve learned how important it is to be observant, reliable, and proactive. Before changing careers, I was a teacher, so being dependable, organized, and communicative comes naturally to me. I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in good hands. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm, comforting presence around, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I love being able to give them the care, attention, and companionship they deserve. While I don’t host pets in my home because my own dog prefers to have her space, I’d love to care for your pets through house sitting, drop-in visits, or walks. I find many pets are happiest staying in their familiar environment, and I’m committed to keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible while you’re away.
“Natalie was great! Made leaving my giant breed puppy super easy when I had a last minute family emergency. Punctual, good communication, asked good questions :)”

“Destiny is the best! Our dog is a 70+lb 6 month old puppy and Destiny exudes the energy of a calm, experienced dog handler who clearly loves dogs, but also knows how to keep them chill! She is also super with communication!”

About: As a child, I had a small dog named Nike! She was the cutest little Shih Tzu. Having her at a young age taught me responsibility first and foremost, but it also taught me how to appreciate and be patient with animals. I have fond memories of walking her around the neighborhood, being sure she had food and plenty of water in her bowls, and running around with her outside! She also got ENDLESS cuddle time. She was my first best friend, and although she’s not here with me in my adult years, I’ve come to love and value ALL animals, from playful cats, to everyday animals like squirrels and birds, lol. I’m a college student, graduating in the fall next year, and I have many breaks where I’m home. When home, I am fully available everyday, anytime to care for pets! I follow instructions EXACTLY as they’re given to me. Special instructions? No problem! Dinner time at 6? Done and done. I’ll be sure your fur baby has plenty of play time and cuddles as well! Rest assured knowing they’re in good hands!
About: I've never not had animals in my life! I spent my early years on a working farm and have always had a way with animals. Dogs love me (cats, too!) and I them ❤️ I have many years of experience in the veterinary field and know what to do in emergencies. I am currently working part time and my schedule is flexible. I do work away from home for 5-8 hours a day, split shift. I have dogs amd cats but can keep them separate, if necessary. My dogs are dog friendly, although my beagle mix is very bossy (typical!) Dogs will be in the house with my dogs, but they can be separated, if needed. I can crate, if the parents supply the crate. Dogs will be leash walked in the wide front yard but we can also go across the street to the dog park, too!

I am very reliable and have a lot of energy to keep your dog entertained throughout the day. I love going for walks and and going to dog parks if allowed by the owner. I live in an apartment and it’s dog-friend and the apartment has a dog area where they can relieve themselves. I live in a studio apartment but there’s plenty of open space where your pup can lounge around. I’m very attentive of your dogs needs, so I stay on top of taking them out for walks and making sure their water bowl is kept full and following their feeding schedule. Also open to grooming and showering your dog, especially if they are staying overnight with me. If your pup is energetic and loves to play we will be a great match!!

“Libby was a lifesaver for us. She took care of our geriatric Golden for three days while we were away, then stepped up for an additional four days at the last moment due a a medical emergency, even buying addition food and supplements as needed. She is clearly a dog lover, and our Golden was very comfortable and well cared for with her and her two dogs. Excellent communication and lots of photos completely set our minds at ease at a time when we didn’t need any additional worries. We even got a thorough report-card and little polaroid of our Golden when we picked her up. I can’t say enough good things about Libby. Your dog would be very lucky to have her as a sitter.”
“We have just returned from a month long vacation for us and one for our dog Chance with Shay & Jay. He had a wonderful experience with the whole family. He was happy and very well cared for while enjoying long walks, adventures and snuggles. Afraid of loud noises, Chance was given extra love over the 4th of July and during thunder storms. Sending frequent photos and adventure updates kept our minds at ease. We could tell he was so happy I worried he would not want to leave! We highly recommend Shay & Jay as care givers of your special dog no matter how long the visit. We definitely will use them in the future.”
“Le’Quitta was absolutely wonderful with Honey! From the very beginning, she was thoughtful and communicative. We did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and she even brought one of her dogs to make sure Honey would be comfortable since she can be a little reactive around other dogs. Just before our trip, Honey unexpectedly needed stitches and had to wear a cone while taking medication every 12 hours. Le’Quitta didn’t hesitate—she happily took on the extra care, administered Honey’s medications, and gave us complete peace of mind so we could still enjoy our weekend away. Throughout Honey’s stay, Le’Quitta sent frequent updates and photos, and it was obvious Honey was having the best time playing with the other dogs. She even had her first positive introduction to a cat! Every picture showed a happy, smiling dog who was clearly loved and well cared for. I’m so grateful for Le’Quitta flexibility, communication, and genuine care for Honey. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dog like family.”

“Peyton was wonderful - super responsive and agreed to watch my dog VERY last minute. I was anxious about leaving Ember because she typically has separation anxiety but she did great and Peyton sent updates and pictures the entire time I was gone. Great first experience with Rover and Peyton!”

“Deven and Tyreek provided excellent care for our dog while we were away and sent photos of her every other day. We really appreciated the piece of mind they provided so that we could enjoy ourselves!”
