We were a bit apprehensive to leave our fur babies with anyone but we were in a bit of a bind ( holidays). We had never used Rover and had just moved to Va from Nevada. Like who would be around them, how often they would be let out to go potty, etc… after a few text and a few phone calls we felt she would be a perfect fit for our pups! About: Dog care certified in Argentina, as an animal lover I want to pursue career caring for them. Since young, I used to spend a lot of time in dog walks and parks with them. I believe now, I can provide them the perfect environment of a fenced backyard of 10.000 sqf. I love to exercise and pamper pups and we're easy to reach, even for a last-minute need. With some dog training experience and a lot of love for dogs, I look forward to taking care of your family member like one of our own. Depending on your pup's needs, I will take long playtime or jogs with your dog. If your furry family member just needs companionship and loving attention, I am happy to provide that kind of care, too. Photos of your dog will be shared with you throughout their visit. I love to send lots of pictures of my guests. My house is generally a cage-free environment, but will use your crates if that is what your pup is used to at home. I have a couple of gates to use as necessary to separate dogs during meals and to give them a large, safe play area in our home.

I’ve done both kitty and dog meds, so if you have a high maintenance fur child like me, I’ve got you covered!! “Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. About: I’ve been in the general field of caretaking for about 6 to 7 years. I was a full time nanny to a family of 7 children and 3 dogs for a few years before I married, and before that, I had multiple families for whom I watched their little ones, including the family dog/dogs. I also did some exclusive pet sitting apart from my previously mentioned work experience. I managed both kids and pets at once. I’ve gotten to know a variety of dog breeds. Growing up, we always had dogs. We’ve had a labradoodle, a few small mixed breeds, and a bernedoodle. Our bernedoodle, Rocco, I trained myself. He is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met and so smart. I taught fun tricks but also some useful ones like how to ring bells to indicate he needed to potty. I have loved being around dogs and having them in my life. We don’t currently have a dog since my two kids are young, so we can’t afford our own pup right now, although we certainly will get one in the future. That’s why I’m so excited to be able to provide other people’s dogs a warm and welcoming home away from home where they will be loved on and feel at ease. I’m a full time stay at home mom, so I’m almost always home. Apart from grocery shopping, minor errands, church on Sundays, or the rare trip to families, we are home all the time. Dogs that stay with us will have pretty much constant companionship and attention. We will be available for drop offs everyday except most of Sunday. Sunday evenings will be open though. Dogs that love a family environment will thrive here. We are usually up for the day around 7:00 am. My son loves dogs and will happily have a full conversation with them. He has grown up around many dogs because my mom has dogs and is a seasoned rover sitter herself. My husband works in the evenings so dogs will probably stay up and hang out with me as we unwind. We have a fenced in backyard so I can sit on our deck and let the dogs run, play, and potty easily and frequently. We live on a very quiet and friendly Cul-de-sac in the mountains of West Virginia, near Winchester. Dogs that come here will have a peaceful stay and have a lot of fun!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every shape and size since I was born. I was an infant cuddling with our massive doberman! My friends, family, and neighbors always knew they had a reliable pet sitter as long as I was around. I also ran on Harrisonburg Rescue Squad as an EMT for about 2 years, which has taught me excellent hard and soft skills in the case of an emergency. I’m working part time right now, so I’m able to spend as much time as needed with your lovely pooches (or other animals)! I mostly work nights on the weekends, but am able to adapt my schedule, if needed. :) I absolutely respect a given owner’s rules for their pets. In my own home, we raised our pit bull to listen and be intentional, and he is an amazing boy. In my client’s homes, I will treat their animals with the utmost respect, while enforcing the necessary house rules. I can promise you that I will treat your pet(s) like my own and give them the love they deserve!

She is flexible, quick response time and has plenty of room for our dogs to run and play, also meeting some new friends with their dogs. Sometimes she videoed him playing with toys her dog or interacting with her family. I was gone 10 days. I was happy to see him doing so well. He is a picky eater so I had sent cubed up chicken breast to mix with his food. When she ran out she cooked him another, which was going way above what I expected. I would definitely take my dog to Jessica again.”

“Our babies absolutely love Lori! Max and Sas were taken care of in a loving environment and were treated so well?. We were a bit apprehensive to leave our fur babies with anyone but we were in a bit of a bind ( holidays). We had never used Rover and had just moved to Va from Nevada. We talked to Lori and asked a ton of questions. Like who would be around them, how often they would be let out to go potty, etc… after a few text and a few phone calls we felt she would be a perfect fit for our pups! We were so happy we made the decision to go with her! Our boys absolutely love her and love staying over night! After the first stay we went back for a quick visit just to say hello…They were both in a hurry to get out of the car (tails wagging) this made us so very happy to see they were happy to see her. We will definitely use her every time for boarding or anything she has to offer like dog sitting all of our babies. “My lively puppy had such a fabulous time at the Millers that she was reluctant to leave. I say "the Millers" because, although Ruth is the sitter, they are a package deal -- a lovely family with a welcoming menagerie of their own. Ruth was extremely generous in the frequency of her communications and in their newsy content. Knowing your pet is happy while you are away is the greatest relief possible. I am so grateful to have found Ruth and look forward to working with her in years to come.”
