“We had such a wonderful experience with our Bertie! They took care of our dog for two days and treated him like their own. From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease. They consistently kept us updated with videos and photos, which meant so much to us. Seeing Coco happy, comfortable, and well cared for made it easy to relax while we were away. Communication was excellent the entire time — quick responses, thoughtful updates, and genuine care. We’re so grateful for the love and attention they gave our pet and would absolutely book with them again. Highly recommend! 🐾”

“Svitlana was an absolute gem of a find! I left my fur baby with her for 17 days, and my girl was so well taken care of- it brought so much reassurance as we were apart for that lengthy period. Numerous walks, play dates with other dogs, tug of war - all captured on videos and pictures that she shared with me. I highly recommend her as I will be using her again in the future!”

“This was our first time leaving Pepe with a sitter and our first time using Rover, so we were a bit nervous, you never really know who you’re leaving your dog with. But Riley was exceptional from the very beginning. Even before I booked her, she helped me figure out how the app worked and made the whole process easy. During Pepe’s stay, she kept me 100% informed at all times with photos, videos, and messages. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and professional. I truly felt peace of mind knowing Pepe was in her hands. I have no doubt he was well cared for, and I would absolutely book her again. Thank you so much, Riley, for treating Pepe like your own dog, we truly appreciate it.”

“Aly dog sat our Charlie boy for a few night and was awesome! Super responsive; sent updates and daily photos of Charlie. Much better experience for our guy vs. boarding at a kennel/boarder. Will absolutely rebook with Aly in the future!”

She was very on top of responding to messages and sent plenty of pictures while we were away. “Tessa took great care of our cat! She communicated well, was very responsive, and sent us updates and pictures every day so we could see our kitty while out of town. About: I've had at least one cat since I was ten, and today three cats and a dog share my home right alongside me. Living with four animals under one roof means I know their routines, their moods, and their quirks by heart, and I understand exactly how much it matters to trust the right person with something that personal. That same instinct shows up in how I work. I'm a checklist person by nature: feeding times, routines, and quirks followed exactly as given, and you'll get daily photos and videos so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and loved.

“Jessica did such a great job with Luci, who is not always the friendliest/most outgoing cat! She was extremely responsive, attentive, and spent quality time with Luci. and I appreciate it so much! Would not hesitate to book again.”

“Karlee was awesome! She left the most detailed notes and photos that I've ever seen from a sitter, and she was incredibly personable and warm. Definitely glad we found her to care for our kitties and wouldn't hesitate to book her again.”

“Bryn was absolutely amazing! She took such good care of my cats, which is not the easiest task since one needs medications. It was a last minute ask and she was available, and jumped in with no hesitation. I honestly am glad that my other sitter canceled because I got to have the best care from Bryn! My only concern is that my cats will miss her to much.”

“Abigail is an excellent pet sitter and I strongly recommend her. I felt very comfortable with Abigail coming into my home to care for my cat. She is a kind hearted and caring person who genuinely loves pets!”

“Emil is so helpful when I had to leave Rio for a business trip. He nicely accommodates Rio’s need and Rio is very comfortable under his care. I would not be hesitate to ask help from Emil again for my next business trip.”

“Caroline has been so patient with helping my dog feel comfortable with a stranger in the house. She has been a wonderful communicator and genuinely cares. Thank you!”

“Lissette was fantastic! First time using the rover app due to an extended trip and I wasn’t sure what to expect. She was very kind and walked me through the process during the meet and greet. It was such a relief knowing my little one was taken care of while we were out. Lissette had excellent communication throughout the week while I was gone and overall it was a great experience!”

“Margaret was a pleasure to work with. This was her first time with Sugar. He is a very fearful cat and it takes him a while to trust new people. I believe by the end of the week he did let her touch him. I intend to use Margaret many more times and the relationship will grow”

“Came from out of town for a wedding and found out last minute that our dog could not attend. Cory responded immediately to our last minute request for doggy day care. If not for Cory we would have missed the wedding. He was very friendly and took wonderful care of our Harley, who is very high energy. Cory put my nerves at ease with updates and pics throughout the day. I highly recommend Cory for your pet care needs. Thank you again Cory!”

“Paula provided just what we needed for our Chihuahua—a safe place to stay while we were in town for lunch. Our venue was not dog friendly, but knowing that our pup was being well cared for put our minds at ease.”

“They were super helpful and caring. They understand dog thinking and went out of their way to accommodate the walk we had to do because we were pulling a camper. Definitely recommend!”

“Emil provided a nice experience for our two Cavachon's. This was our first experience using Rover as we began a long trip south. I admit I was a bit anxious with first time leaving dogs with someone they never met but Emil had good reviews. We used Emil's services for a half day as we visited Monticello. On our way we had car trouble and our trip was delayed and Emil was flexible moving the morning sitting to the afternoon. Our dogs seemed content when we returned.”

I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!

About: I have been the proud momma of four, crazy unique pups of different size and temperament. I traveled overseas with my first pup for 10 years, keeping her safe and healthy all the while, and absolutely believe that dogs and humans have a special connection! EXERCISE/Walks: I'm a runner and hiker, so if your pet needs to get out--call me! There are also dog parks and hiking trails, a stone's throw from my home, and my Bluetick gets walked for at least 3.0 miles daily. BOARDING: I have a fenced-in yard and two dog doors so your pup can go outside whenever they want. My Bluetick is super sweet and is great with other dogs but if they don't speak the same language don't fret, I can crate or separate them with pet gates. Trust that your dog will be loved and kept safe! MEDICATION/Vet appointments: I'm a nurse and have experience administering medicine via injection and orally for my senior dog and am available to drive your pet to medical appointments. I work from home. My weekends are generally open and most mornings I can walk your dog with my own, if the timing works out. I have a fenced-in yard and dog doors so that your pup can get fresh air whenever they want. I have a 6-year-old dog that gets along with most every dog we've met, but if our pets don't speak the same language, there is enough room to isolate them for a time.

“Jessica is amazing!!! Our dog Lou had a blast staying at her house for the day! She loved playing in the yard with Jessica’s dog and another dog she was caring for. I couldn’t be happier to know Lou is in her care knowing she’s getting lots of cuddles and playtime. Thank you Jessica!!”

“Another great week with Dana! Oakley loves playing with Red and her nephew. Oakley is also being socialized with cats which is a huge plus. Oakley is always happy to be dropped off and tired from all the fun when I pick him up.”

About: I was born and raised around dogs and know how they are true members of the family and deserve that care. I've pet sit many times from puppies to seniors, given pets their medication, stayed overnight with anxious pups, and I've even taken a dog first aid class to ensure I give your pets the best treatment. I am currently on a flexible daily schedule and can be available to take care of your pet whenever you may need weekday or weekend! I know sometimes our pets can be a bit mischievous, so I am always vigilant in monitoring the pet's activities and ensuring they are in a safe and comforting environment.

About: I've been around pets my entire life and have always grown up in a home with multiple dogs and cats alike. Whenever I'm home, I'm the primary caregiver, helping with feeding, walks, exercise, playtime, grooming, and making sure they're happy and comfortable. I've also cared for friends' dogs and cats through drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays while they were away. As a college athlete, I know how important consistency and responsibility are, and I'll care for your dog with the same attention and love I give my own. I'm currently a full-time student completing my coursework online while training as a collegiate swimmer and track athlete. My practice schedule varies throughout the year, but outside of practice I have a flexible schedule and can provide dependable care. I always communicate my availability clearly and only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to. When I'm with your pet, they'll receive my full attention and plenty of exercise, affection, and care. At this time I provide care in my clients' homes, where pets are most comfortable and can stay in their normal routines. I understand how important consistency is for animals, so I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, walking routines, and any house rules you provide. I treat every home with respect, send regular updates and photos, and always make your pet's safety and well-being my top priority.
“Maddie was prompt, early even, and spent extra time with our girl which was nice because she suffers from separation anxiety and my husband and I were gone longer than usual. Would recommend Maddie!”

“Dakota was friendly, flexible, and reliable. Sam always enjoyed his time with Dakota. Dakota interspersed neighborhood walks & trips to the dog park with visits to Barnes & Noble and other places. We will use Dakota again without reservation and highly recommend him to care for your pet.”

About: Hi! My name is Riley and I'm a 21-year-old nursing student originally from South Carolina. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a farm raising and caring for many different animals, so caretaking has always come naturally to me. As of now, I have 4 dogs back at home and 1 pup currently residing with me. What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with all types of animals, my reliability, and how much I truly love caring for them. I understand how important it is to find someone to trust with your pets. I'm very communicative, respectful of each pet's/owner's unique needs, and can confidently handle anything from a laid-back walk to giving medications or handling multiple pets simultaneously. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I'll treat your pup like family! Pet care is at the center of my daily life! Rover is my full-time job, which allows me to dedicate my full attention to the pets I care for. I am currently a nursing student in my third semester, but I have a flexible schedule with plenty of time to focus completely on your pet’s needs. I live near the college campus, surrounded by hiking trails and parks which is perfect for daily walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of playtime. Making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for is always my #1 priority. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions you provide. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, whether it’s relaxing at home, going for walks, playing in the dog park, or exploring nearby trails. In my home, your pet will also have the opportunity to socialize with my own friendly dog, who loves making new pup friends. I always keep a close eye on behavior and health to make sure they are happy and stress-free. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your pet is well cared for while you’re away!
“I'm very thankful to have found Emil. I work in retail and consequently work almost every weekend. Emil walks my little chihuahua for me every Saturday and Sunday. He's very reliable and I never worry that he won't be able to make it. He also responds to any requests or questions very quickly. I wholeheartedly recommend Emil if you need someone to help care for your pups!”

“Amy was a fantastic friend to our 10-year old Husky while we were out of town. She frequently went “above and beyond” to assure that She was calm and settled. Our reports were detailed and thoughtful. Additional, she was extremely responsive to us and our dog. We are grateful and recommend her as a thoughtful, caring pet partner!”

About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. I’m currently working part time three days a week and an occasional Saturday, so I have the time to care and interact for your furry friend. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to the Rivanna trails and a road trip access to a farm with woods in Earlysville for running in fields. I also have a very tolerant cat who actually enjoys dogs staying with me because she’s learned that visiting dogs often get a treat she’s earned one too. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.
“I had a last minute emergency need for a dog walker for a pup that can be afraid of walking near cars, and had never met Caroline before. Unfortunately, I could not arrange for a meetup beforehand. Caroline was accommodating and understanding when Poppy did not want to walk on the second day, so instead she played with her in our yard. Thank you Caroline for filling this massive need for us and removing a big anxiety for us!”

About: I've taken care of all sorts of all kinds of pets throughout the years and I absolutely adore them. For the past three years I have been walking and providing overnight care for dogs and cats of all breeds, shapes, sizes, ages and personalities. I established my own business with my partner as of last year, Zoomies, and we are licensed and insured, as well certified in providing first aid/cpr, so you can ensure your pet is getting top notch care and is in great, loving hands. Please reach out with any questions or requests you may have! I am very excited to hear from you and becoming a part of your pet's life. :) Pet care is my daily routine and I am able to help any day of the week any time of the day. Let me know what you need! I have a clean, smoke free home with plenty of comfy places to relax and feel at ease. My home is great for strictly inside cats.

About: I’m very comfortable with larger dogs and dogs who aren’t always perfect on the lead. I’ve walked German Shepherds and Huskies, and my own dog has had lead issues before, so I know some walks can be more “upper body workout” than gentle stroll. I’m confident with strong, excitable dogs and always keep walks calm, safe, and suited to the dog! Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, especially over the summer while I’m home from university. My schedule is generally very open, so I have plenty of time for walks, drop-ins and making sure pets get the attention they need. I also volunteer as an EMT, which means I work one night shift every 6 days, but aside from that I’m flexible and able to work around your pet’s routine! As I’m only offering house sitting, I’ll be caring for your pet in the place they know best — their own home. I always try to stick as closely as possible to their usual routine, whether that’s walks, feeding times, playtime, medication, or just the right amount of fuss and company. I know pets are usually much happier when they can stay in familiar surroundings, so my aim is to keep things calm, comfortable and as normal as possible while you’re away. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect as I do your pet, and make sure they’re safe, settled and well looked after.

Heather knows how to deal with my quirky dork of a pup. She was patient with her and made her feel like she was home. My girl is tired and happy. I will definitely use Heather in the future for my boarding needs.”

“Heather & her family were a great match for Mía. From the Meet & Greet, to drop off, asking how to best care for her, and pick up…they were responsive, informative, and caring. Thank you!”

“Ashley watched my Lexie, 5 and a half year old black lab, for 6 days. She provided me daily updates and photos of Lexi's activities to keep me informed that she was doing well. I highly recommend Ashley as a resource to care for your dog as well.”
