The setting is better than his last daycare which was too big and he was getting overly anxious. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. I've also had my fair share of special needs animals, so I'm comfortable handling pets whose needs are out of the ordinary. I've also worked with and owned most types of animals ranging from a few weeks old to 20+ years, so I can provide care to very young or very old animals. I just graduated college and am currently between jobs, so I am at home working on my fixer-upper apartment all day. My schedule is entirely flexible! I will be available almost all waking hours of the day. I can stop in on your schedule to provide care and walks, or just stay over to give the pets round the clock care. About: I have helped train and care for my own dogs since I was 8 years old. I have house sat, done drop in visits and walked dogs for neighbors and friends. Dogs always make me smile and I have done a lot of reading/research on how to train/care for your dog. I am a student so there is a lot of time in my day to care for dogs. I usually have a lot of time in the afternoon and the evening to feed them or walk them. I love to play with dogs and walk them. I am very active so I can do long walks with the dogs or just play some fetch. All dogs are different and need different types of attention and love.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was younger. It began with dog sitting until I convinced my parents to allow us to get our own dog. We now have 3 dogs and I have a cat on my own. I also worked at a doggy day care where I took care of up to 20-30 dogs alone at times. I love animals of all kinds and would love to help people would may not have the most time or availability some days to give their pet optimal care! I just graduated college and am looking for a part-time job in the mean time before I start graduate school in the summer. I have full availability all days as of right now.
