“Theresa took excellent care of Lucy. Very happy with our experience and would totally have our dog stay there again. She was enthusiastic of a meet in greet, wanted to learn about our dog, accommodated refrigerated food, very communicative throughout the stay, and Lucy seemed very happy there! Thanks so much, Theresa!”

“John is so kind and patient with Monty. Monty seems to be going through jet lag! - I believe he was waking John early and wanting to go out, and John always took great care of him, took him for early walks to beat the heat, and then sent us regular updates of Monty napping all morning!”

“Shawn was wonderful! She kept me updated throughout the entire stay. My pups were very comfortable and happy during their stay. I would choose Shawn every time to watch my pups, they had an amazing time! I didn’t have to worry about my dogs once while they were in Shawn’s care!”

“Shannon was a great sitter! She sent me pictures of my dog to show me what she was doing and how she was. She was flexible and great to work with. I highly recommend her!”

“Emily is great!! Our dog pepper was very well cared for & loved being in her home. It was a wonderful feeling to go on vacation & feel good about who was caring for our dog.”

“My dog loved staying here. I was very worried before I dropped my dog off just because he is older and it has been a while since he was boarded. He had the best time, made new friends, sent mama lots of pictures, and even got a new accessory!! I will definitely book again!! Thanks again Samantha!!”

“They were absolutely wonderful and super nice. They took Reggie on short notice but gave him all sorts of love and cuddles. Their dogs upon first meeting did not react negatively with our dog and was not territorial at all. We got text notifications from them and they sent photos before bed to let us know how he’s doing. We felt super comfortable leaving our pup with them. If I lived in the Roanoke area they would absolutely be my number one choice every time! I cannot express how grateful I am for them.”

“Marsh was awesome and Chloe was obviously very happy and comfortable with her and her animals. With Chloe being small she also keeps big dogs and has them separated for safety! I appreciate that. Will definitely use Marah again and highly recommend her!!!!!”

“Our first time having Ashley and family board our puppy and we are happy. Our puppy, Luna, was very happy there and got a lot of playing in and slept very well on our way to Northern VA. We will repeat when in town next. She communicates well with us before and during visit. Looking forward to Luna having some more fun at their house.”

“Kimberly and Jayden did an excellent job taking care of our older dog. He is definitely a dog who doesn't like change, and they were very kind and patient with him. They kept us updated with multiple texts and photos each day and were very responsive to any of our suggestions. We felt like our pup was in great hands. So sweet of them to send him home with a goody bag.”

“Katie updated me daily with photos and details on how my boy was doing. She was very responsive and flexible with pick up and drop off times. She was great! I highly recommend!”

“Donna took care of my little old Maltese for a month and he was treated royally! I wasn't 100% sure he would want to come home. It was obvious that she catered to his needs and was more than tolerant of his shortcomings. She was the perfect companion for Teddy and I would definitely use her services again.”

“Lawdy was available for a last minute booking, communicative throughout, and my nervous puppy was very calm when I came to pick her up. I’ll definitely be booking with her in the future!”
“She is someone who is incredibly devoted to animals; her dedication and love are boundless. I had the absolute best experience knowing that Mia was staying in a home filled with plenty of attention, patience, and love. Karlie is always in constant communication, too. She has dogs of her own, and they truly made Mia's stay much more fun, as Mia is super friendly. Mia returned home ready to sleep and rest after days filled with fun and endless running around—in fact, she didn't even want to leave, given how wonderfully she had been treated at Karlie's house!”

“David Is calm and caring and took great care of Watson. I don’t often leave Watson but when I do he usually comes home unnerved. That was not the case this time. Thank you!”

“Ashley is really a pleasure to be around, and was immediately very sweet with our cats from the moment we met her. She is a wonderful pet sitter, careful to update us on everything, easy to communicate with, very loving to our pets, and respectful of our home. We hope to be repeat clients!”

“Becca has sat now twice for my kitties and she is just fantastic. In addition to playing with my friendly cat, she takes her time with my fussy cat to meet him where he is and she never gave up on coaxing him into playtime, so he would get some stimulation while I was away. I really can't say enough about how great Becca is!”

“Kim did a fantastic job of taking care of our cats. She fed them right on time every day and administered needed medications. She also managed their litter boxes and even brought in our mail for us.&§ We couldn’t be more pleased!”

“Cindy was fantastic! From being extremely patient navigating an issue with Rover displaying her rate correctly, to accomodating our last minute request, to calling a locksmith (per my request) when the key we left her didn't work, to helping when we had a leak in our basement, she consistently went above and beyond. Not to mention buying food for our cat when she couldn't get into the house and being so good to him and sending several pictures every visit. We were beyond thrilled with her service and absolutely plan on hiring her again!”

“Samantha cared for my 18 year old cat, Jack. She was dependable and came daily when expected. She spent time with Jack brushing her and even taking her outside for walks in the grass. I definitely would book her again.”

“Booked Amanda last second while going out of town for 4 days. Amanda replied immediately everytime I reached out and offered daily updates with pictures/videos. I would absolutely recommend Amanda and will be reaching out again in the future.”

“Karmen is so amazing!! She made my nervous cat feel very safe and at ease. She is responsive, responsible, and caring. Karmen goes above and beyond and is very much an animal person at heart. I couldn't recommend her more highly if you need someone to take great care of your pet!”

“Rebekah did a great job of communicating with us and taking care of not only our elderly kitty but also our small tortoise. Our cat has medications and multiple needs so we appreciated her willingness to care for her.”

“Emily did such a great job helping us feel more comfortable with leaving our dog Gamora at daycare. She has never stayed with a stranger before just close family. I think Gamora really enjoyed her stay with Emily, she got to play with some new friends and came home tired and content. We are very grateful to find someone we can trust to watch our baby (Gamora🐶).”

About: You can trust your pup with me! My love for dogs and animals started when I was a child and has grown into a deep bond and genuine care for every dog I meet. I truly go above and beyond when it comes to pet care — and in my book, a little spoiling is always included. ;) I’ve had decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs since 2004, from training my first Mini Schnauzer, Ally, as a puppy to providing specialized senior care as she got older. In 2009, my husband and I rescued our first senior Schnauzer, Smokey, and cared for him through several medical issues including seizures, gastroenteritis, and inner ear infections. I’m extremely attentive to a dog’s needs, personality, comfort, and safety, and I always stay alert to make sure they’re happy, secure, and out of trouble. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, and I would care for your dog like one of my own. *Please note: I can only accommodate dogs up to 15 lbs. Requests above this size will be declined. Please do not request bookings for larger dogs. I’m a stay-at-home pet parent, which allows me to give my full attention and care to both my own dog and the pets staying with me. At our home, pets are treated like family and will receive lots of love, attention, supervision, and playtime throughout the day. We have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor time, potty breaks, and play, but dogs will always be supervised while outside. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, comfort level, routines, and needs to help them feel safe and relaxed while away from home. Whether your pup enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a calm environment, I’m happy to accommodate their routine as closely as possible. I also understand the importance of consistency, patience, and attentiveness, especially for senior dogs or pets with special needs.

“This is how my story started......I was in Roanoke for the Nomad convention at the Sheraton. It is dog friendly & I have my baby w me... she has always traveled well.. but she is now older & she is having separation anxiety when I leave the room! She barks & wont stop! She is a tri color chihuahua ! I can't leave the room & I can't take her to the car show because of the heat! I have never left her .. a bit nervous about doing so.. but thought I would search for Dog Care in area! My story ends in a meet & greet that started a new friendship! Paula was so comforting and reassuring that I wanted to stay with her! I had never left Mia w anyone before! Paula sent me pictures & text about Mia, including one where Mia was a bed hog! I immediately fell in love w her and never worried about my fur baby being in trusting, loving, awesome hands! Thank you Paula for loving my baby!❤️”

“Kim was awesome! Ms. Binky is recovering from CCL surgery so she is a bit of a special needs case as she works on getting her ROM back. After each visit I got a super-cute pic of Binky and I could tell she was happy with the visit because she was playing with a toy in one picture and carrying her favorite ball in the other. I will definitely book Kim again and I know that Binky will give two paws up for the next visit.”

“Jessica was my lifesaver!!!! I injured my knee and was suddenly unable to walk my dog. She was available on short notice and responded quickly. I was in such a panic but she reassured me that she would take great care of my baby! She was flexible, patient, and kind. I had the worst day and I was being so spastic and crazy and she was sooo sweet to me. I am thankful to have found her . My dog absolutely loved her! She took notes about specific things concerning his care, and she followed all instructions given and had a successful walk with him! She took him to the park, his favorite place :) I am so thankful that Jessica has experience with large breeds and was able to handle my 70 lb dog.

About: I love caring for dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away. I’m patient with dogs of all sizes and personalities and always follow feeding schedules, provide regular potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention so every dog feels at home. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week, including weekends. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, and playtime throughout the day. I’m happy to work with different schedules and last-minute bookings whenever possible I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Since I don’t have a fenced yard, I take dogs on regular walks for exercise, potty breaks, and fresh air. I also provide plenty of attention, playtime, and follow the pet’s normal feeding schedule and routines. My goal is to make pets feel relaxed and at home while their owners are away.
“Absolutely amazing. So great with pick up and drop off and I got lots of pictures of my happy dog. 100% will be using her again and would highly recommend her to anyone else.”

Thank you!”
“Matthew & Erin were able to accommodate my last-minute request to watch my husky. They were great with her, sent me photo updates & she looked so happy! Would definitely book with them again!”

About: I began volunteering at my local animal shelter at the age of 9 and have been caring for animals ever since. I have 20 years experience pet sitting for neighbors and I have my own 6 year old pitbull, Cleo, so I’m no stranger to energetic dogs. I’m a teacher, so my summers give me full flexibility to care for your animals! I love to walk dogs on local greenways and trails. I have a fenced in backyard where your dog can play. If they like to play with a buddy, my dog will be their best friend!
About: The house my parents moved into when I was only 4 weeks old was unfortunately a dumping ground for unwanted animals. Before I could even walk, I was cuddling with any animal that showed up at our door. This instilled a passion within me that I can finally turn into a profession. From Rescue and fostering to training dogs and showing horses, animals have always been a huge part of my life. In addition to my Management degree, I have an Associate of Science Degree with a major in Animal Science and a specialization in Agriculture. I completed an AKC handlers’ course which focused on reading your dog’s body language to understand their needs. Being so heavily involved in rescue, I have history and experience in dealing with reactive and/or selective dogs. I have many safety features depending on the animals needs including crates, double hung baby gates and 6 ft chain link fence that is separated into two yards. After a successful 25year business management career, I am now turning my lifetime passion of animal care into a profession. This year I started up my own business, "G'MA DOES". I offer a range of services from dog walking and pet sitting to animal waste removal. I like to stay active! While I have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge from multiple trainers, what I hold most dear is the ongoing information I take in from animal behaviorists such as Cesar Millan. Remember, when you first meet a strange dog practice NO TOUCH, NO TALK, NO EYE CONTACT! *LICENSED, INSURED, AND ACCREDITED WITH THE BBB!* (GMA Does, LLC) In my house we call it "FURniture" for a reason. However, I also believe all dogs (like children) needs rules, boundries and limitations. I find puppies, adolescent, and destructive dogs are actually happier if they are contained in my absense. Whether that means crated or in an outdoor yard depends entirely up to what they are used to. I offer personal in-home boarding so they feel my house is their "home away from home". I will maintain their normal routine as close to if not exactly. I have multiple crates in a range of sizes so if your baby is used to being crated, I got you covered! I also have baby gate hinges at every doorway to use as needed. My entire backyard is about a half an acre that is fenced in with a 6 ft chain length fence. I have it separated into two secured areas for exercise with the larger of the two having access to a dog door. Inside, one room is a dedicated cat room for litterboxes toys etc. The other two bedrooms will be dedicated safe spaces used for play, overnight stays, or whatever the situation calls for.
