I tried Rover once before; I selected a house sitter, and the person indicated she was staying, but I don't think she spent much time here; there was little sign of her living here and my cat was hysterical and needy when I returned. A young couple for house sitting is a good idea - they won't get lonely or bored by themselves. They were personable, responsible, and responsive, with good communication. They sent me lots of videos every day of my cat being content and entertained. My cat tends to be afraid of men, but she warmed right up to Jay, he was good with her. When I got home kitty greeted me as if I had only come home from the grocery store; she had been well taken care of. Alexia and Jay left the house clean and tidy. I offered to pay them extra for various chores around the house while they were sitting. They were happy to do them, and did a great job. I came home to a house better than how I'd left it. About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is truly second nature to me. We are currently able to provide drop-in visits for dogs, cats, and a variety of farm animals, as well as house or farm sitting, and in home boarding, as well as hourly dog park style use of our large fenced yard. Your pets will be a happy addition to our family in our home! Our whole property is fenced by 4 ft or taller board and wire fencing, with smaller areas sectioned off in the front and back yards. The driveway is gated and secure. We want your pets to feel as safe as our own. Leah and Andrew are both available for petsitting services. Then on pickup day, I was going to arrive very late. She kindly and lovingly kept them an extra night without hesitation. While they were with her, she prepared delicious dinners for them, sent us videos and photos, and cared for them with so much love and attention. It is very clear that she truly loves what she does. “What can I say? Sarah was fantastic! The whole experience was so easy and wonderful for our dog. Sarah was flexible and very responsive. Super accommodating. She kept us supplied with lots of updates and photos during the whole visit. Our hound sometimes has anxiety during new experiences but she was so well cared for that she felt immediately at ease when we arrived and through the whole visit. Sarah and her wonderful family took such good care of her that I would absolutely want my dog to stay with her again. Highly recommend!”
