I have been hiking with my dog for his entire life and was able to train him on the leash and off the leash to allow us to have the freedom to run free and the ability to get him on the leash and behave around other dogs and people on the road and on the trails. I have experience with a variety of sizes, breeds, and age ranges. Beau and I love to go for long walks/hikes and his favorite thing to do when not playing is snuggle up with his cats (or his humans) I am a firm believer in Positive Reinforcement Training and would be happy to work on/reinforce basic obedience training with your dog (sit, stay, down, come, loose leash walking, etc) during my visit. Meet and Greet: I would prefer to meet dogs/cats and their owners in your home prior to the requested service date to learn their routine and give them an opportunity to meet me with you. I understand that in a last minute scenario (if you schedule the same day as the service start date) this may not be possible. Please make sure you let me know the following: -how to access your home (key, lock box, garage code etc.) -location of dog (what room or in a crate) -location of leash, disposal for poop, and food/treats (if applicable) I look forward to meet you and your furry family! About: Hi! My name is Kimberly, I am a full time registered nurse with a lot of flexibility in my schedule to assist you with your pets needs while you are away! Since I have multiple days off a week I am able to work my schedule around the needs of your pets (babies!). I currently have three dogs, although, I have also owned and loved rabbits, hamsters, cats, ferrets, and fish. I am open to caring for any animal (expect spiders, sorry!!!) that you have. I can administer any medications needed. I currently have a fully blind hound dog with glaucoma that is also a diabetic requiring insulin injections along with oral medication and eye drops. Our beloved Bullmastiff, whom passed away in 2024 was epileptic and required 12 pills a day along with as needed rectal seizure meds so I am positive I can care for your special needs animals with just as much love and care when you are away. I have two elementary school aged children who can also assist with helping with your pets needs (if applicable & okay with owners) with my assistance to help learn responsibility, routines, a good work ethic, and be able to earn their own money and learn the hard work and value of a dollar. My kids have experience with feeding, walking, medication administration, and lots of play and snuggles. :) Please reach out if you have any questions! I look forward to loving on your animals and spoiling them rotten! I currently work three - 12 hour shifts a week. Some nights, some days. I am very flexible with my work schedule which makes my flexibility to care for your animals better! I have a large fully fenced in back yard. About: What sets me apart is my personal experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. I’ve raised and cared for five dogs throughout my life, including Labs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, and German Shepherds, so I understand the very different needs of small, medium, and large breeds. For Dog Walking Services in the client's home: Meet and Greet: Before any service begins, I like to schedule a meet and greet with the client and their pet(s). This helps me get to know the pet's personality, any specific needs or quirks they have, and allows the client to feel comfortable with me. Leash Walks: During the scheduled walk, I ensure that the dog gets the exercise they need. Walks are tailored to the dog's energy level and physical abilities. I always carry waste disposal bags to clean up after the dog. Fresh Water and Treats: I make sure to provide fresh water for the dog after the walk, and if allowed by the client, I may offer treats as a reward for good behavior. Safety and Supervision: While in my care, safety is paramount. I keep a watchful eye on the dog, ensuring they stay on a leash and away from potential hazards. For Pet Sitting Services in the client's home: Daily Visits: I visit the client's home as many times as required to ensure the pet's comfort. This typically includes feeding, changing water, and providing companionship. Medication Administration: If the pet requires medication, I follow the client's instructions precisely, ensuring the pet receives their medication on time. Since I have multiple days off a week I am able to work my schedule around the needs of your pets (babies!). I can administer any medications needed. I currently have a fully blind hound dog with glaucoma that is also a diabetic requiring insulin injections along with oral medication and eye drops. Our beloved Bullmastiff, whom passed away in 2024 was epileptic and required 12 pills a day along with as needed rectal seizure meds so I am positive I can care for your special needs animals with just as much love and care when you are away. I have two elementary school aged children who can also assist with helping with your pets needs (if applicable & okay with owners) with my assistance to help learn responsibility, routines, a good work ethic, and be able to earn their own money and learn the hard work and value of a dollar. About: I cared for my dog Bear for 15 years until he passed last year. I have experience caring for senior dogs, giving medication, lifting and assisting walking. We don’t have a fenced in yard but we have 10 acres for the dogs to walk and play. Caring for dogs fits easily into my daily routine.
