I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: Hi there! My name is Catherine. I have grown up with dogs in my house and have always had a passion for animals. I always want to make sure your furry family members feel comfortable and loved while you’re away! I am reliable and make sure to communicate clearly when a problem arises, or just to send pictures because I know you miss your pet. I love going for walks around my neighborhood and make sure to give plenty of cuddles! I am in online school full-time, so I can your pet my full attention during the day. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I also do not mind your dog being on the furniture! I do not currently own a pets and I live in a smoke-free household.

While we have had good success finding trusting and loving sitters, we really were blessed to meet Mark and Daniel. Their attention to detail prior to our pets arrival, their ability to be flexible when my scheduling mistake was uncovered, but most importantly, the level of care my pups received was top-notch. About: I love cats. I have adopted a cat who was abandoned when a neighbor moved. He has changed my life. He is such a sweet boy and petting and brushing him is one of my favorite pass times. He was wary of humans at first but he has warmed up to me as well as my family members.

About: I am comfortable with all kinds of dogs and needs. I personally care for a GSD and a Heeler mix, and am comfortable with rambunctious and large dogs. Both of my dogs practice loose leash walking, and I love using our walks as time to tire their brains as well as their bodies. I can give medications, including subq and other injections. And I’m working on becoming a certified trainer, but for now I do not offer training services. I work a few part time gigs that change with the seasons. I have lots of flexibility to meet the needs of your pets. I generally do not go out of town during major holidays. About: I have had dogs and cats growing up ever since I was born. I was always the go-to neighbor or friend pet sitter. I love animals deeply and will do everything I can to make you pet feel right at home. It’s a plus for me too to be able to meet your fury friend! I work part time and have a flexible schedule, so I am able to accommodate most people’s availability. I can make most pets schedules work and am open to working morning, afternoon, and evening. I live in a townhome with 3 other pets so I will not be able to accommodate boarding. That being said, I am very interested in doing house sittings and working with the owner to come up with a complete safety plan that fits the animals and their environment.

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. About: I’ve had pets my whole life. I love dogs and cats. I love animals and have no problem spending my free time taking care of and playing with some fur babies. I have a pug that I've had since she was 6 weeks old. I also have a cat who I took in after his old owner abandoned him. I currently work full time Monday-Friday 8-5pm in Charlottesville. I am more than happy to stop by after work if needed or if you want me to stay at your place I can take care of the babies before heading to work to make sure they are fed and worked. Can work with a lot of schedules. I do make and sell jewelry so there may be a few weekend days where my availability is limited due to already committed to a craft show In my house I try and take my dog out every 2 hours. In the summer my pug is sensitive to heat so we do short walks around our driveway. She is a bit spoiled and will not go outside in the rain so I do also have experience cleaning up puppy pads and encouraging their use. My cat is both indoors and outdoors so he goes to the bathroom outside but also have a litter box inside I clean every few days for him.
About: New to Rover, but not to pet care :) I grew up with animals great and small. I've had dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, snakes, mice, chickens, and one skunk. All of my dogs are rescues, so I'm no stranger to reactive dog care and I'm well-versed in positive reinforcement training styles. I love all animals, but I've got a real soft spot for the senior babies. I recently lost my own 16 year old pittie, so I'm comfy in a space that may require a little extra effort. I'm a weightlifter in my free time, so I can easily help any size senior with any mobility issues 💜 I'm starting on Rover after losing my 13 year career in analysis to federal funding issues. My schedule is quite flexible and free, though I do have to be home at night to care for my own four-legged family members While I'd love to offer care in my home, I do have my own pets and introducing new babies to the mix can be stressful for all involved. In your home, I will love on your fur babies as if they were my own. They'll have a cuddle buddy (if they choose), engaging playtime, and treats (if you choose). I also spend quite a lot of time at the gym I own in downtown Charlottesville, so if you'd be comfortable with field trips, I'd happily take them out for some extra socialization.

About: I am an animal lover, from cats and dogs, to rabbits and gerbils! I have two dogs of my own who I love to look after and spend time with. I am a responsible, caring, and considerate person who will always prioritize your comfort and convenience- and your pet’s comfort! I am a rising 3rd year college student at the University of Virginia. I have flexibility this summer, as I am taking a summer course and doing research. I am respectful of your spaces if I were to dog sit, but live in an apartment so can not offer pet boarding long-term.
About: I have had pets from day one. My family has had 4 cats, 2 dogs, hamsters, lizards, fish, and even a hedgehog!. I’m currently a Nursing student who’s past career was a veterinary technician. Caring for animals is my passion and I hope I get to meet your fur babies sometime and give them some extra love. I have experience with dogs with special needs as well as dogs who are in rehabilitation. I am up for any task that includes a precious pup or any other fur baby that needs me. I look forward to meeting you and you’re families and hopefully be honored to care for your lovely pets! I have a flexible schedule and am very accommodating. If there is a will there is a way is how I think of things, you can always count on me! Unfortunately at this time I do not do in home boarding as I have my own little circus of fur babies who are friendly but just don’t like change.
About: In a home with lizards, fish, a cat, a dog, and a flock of chickens, I spend my days tending to the heard. Animals all with their own unique personalities and each requiring different levels of care. Feeding, Bathing, Grooming, Spoiling with TLC, I do it all! I am a new mom and spend my days at home so I have a lot of free time to pop over and care for animals as needed At my house the dog and cat are indoor/outdoor pets who come and go when the please, as the door is usually wide open! Because of this I usually opt. to care for pets in the comfort of their own homes and abide by the routines they are adapt to.
About: I have had dogs and cats growing up ever since I was born. I was always the go-to neighbor or friend pet sitter. I love animals deeply and will do everything I can to make you pet feel right at home. It’s a plus for me too to be able to meet your fury friend! I work part time and have a flexible schedule, so I am able to accommodate most people’s availability. I can make most pets schedules work and am open to working morning, afternoon, and evening. I live in a townhome with 3 other pets so I will not be able to accommodate boarding. That being said, I am very interested in doing house sittings and working with the owner to come up with a complete safety plan that fits the animals and their environment.

Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

About: Hi there! My name is Catherine. I have grown up with dogs in my house and have always had a passion for animals. I always want to make sure your furry family members feel comfortable and loved while you’re away! I am reliable and make sure to communicate clearly when a problem arises, or just to send pictures because I know you miss your pet. I love going for walks around my neighborhood and make sure to give plenty of cuddles! I am in online school full-time, so I can your pet my full attention during the day. I am very active during the day and am never in the same spot twice, so there will be lots of activity if your dog needs it. I live in a gated community and can accommodate crated dogs. I also do not mind your dog being on the furniture! I do not currently own a pets and I live in a smoke-free household.

While we have had good success finding trusting and loving sitters, we really were blessed to meet Mark and Daniel. Their attention to detail prior to our pets arrival, their ability to be flexible when my scheduling mistake was uncovered, but most importantly, the level of care my pups received was top-notch. The home is clean, fenced in large yard and they really love what they do. I don't know if we will be back in that area, but if we are I will re-book with Mark and Daniel.”

“Our family was going through a really tough time and Nadia came to our rescue! She treated our puppy like her baby and provided updates and pictures multiple times a day which made us feel so safe and secure. She even made scarves and necklaces for our sweet pup and made her feel like a princess. We had an issue come up where we needed to schedule extra days and she was so kind and accommodating. Our puppy was so sad to leave her. I’d recommend Nadia to anybody and everybody and I can’t wait to be able to book with her again in the future. Our dog has not yet learned to be off leash, so she had a great idea to let him roam around and play in the closed off barn with the other dogs. He came super happy and worn out.
