“I was scrambling to find dog boarding when my friend canceled on me at the last minute. I had no backup plan and actually thought I’d have to send my dog to a kennel for the week. Luckily, as I was looking up kennels, I found information on Rover. So this was my very first time using Rover and I was extremely nervous. Turns out, there was absolutely no reason for me to be. Rover is very easy to use and I was able to find Julie & Kenneth N’s information. After seeing/reading the positive reviews I made immediate plans to meet them and have them meet my Husky, Max. When Julie & Ken arrived, they were very friendly, easy to talk to and most importantly, they love dogs. I was able to book Max to stay with Julie & Ken for the entire week that we were on a family vacation. As promised, I got daily emails (with pictures) of how Max was doing and Julie even let me know how helpful Max was in the kitchen — by being watchful to ensure Julie didn’t drop anything while preparing lunch. I loved all of the text communications I received — Max was smiling in some of the pics. That put me at ease too. If you want top notch boarding for your dog, then I highly recommend this dog-loving duo. Your dog will be well taken care of and will be happy with Julie & Ken. In the future, whenever we need dog boarding, Julie & Ken will be my very first choice. I am sincerely grateful to them for their excellent care of Max.”
“Kim was amazing! We just got our pup a couple weeks ago when we were about to go out of town for a week. We thought about doing an official boarding place or rover and ended up finding Kim! Due to time, we didn’t do a meet and greet however when we dropped Crush off, I knew he was in good hands! Kim was super nice and texted us pictures throughout the week. She also had other pups over that she was taking care of which I appreciated so our little guy had a lot of a socialization. Before moving here, I volunteered for several years at nonprofit rescues that specialize in disabled and special-needs animals. My responsibilities included feeding, bathing, cleaning kennels and litter boxes, refreshing bedding, and making sure each animal got individual attention and affection. I also assisted with basic grooming, gentle handling for nervous pets, and light training reinforcement during play or walks. Since moving to Virginia, I’ve been volunteering at The Cat Corner in Hampton, where I work exclusively with cats. About: I can feed meals of pet food ,walk on leash in your area, cleanup after pets on walks with your baggie and yard, love to feed treats from your home, love play time and brushing pets, I believe they love to be talk to ( at least my pets do) . I have only 1 corgi Louie in my my home .I have had up to 4 corgi's in my home in the past. I have pet sit for many friends when out of town. Everyone in my family has a dog or cat so I have plenty of experience. However I can brush your dog or wipe their paws off if needed but I do not bath or trim nails in service. My dog (2-year-old Belgian Malinois) gets along with small to large dogs as he has been trained to be around all size dogs. About: I used to have another rover account and dog watching was my full time job for about 3 years. I quit for a little bit but now I am a stay at home mom and have a 4 1/2 year old golden who loves everyone and just wants some friends to play with. I am a stay at home mom and have a dog of my own so adding a few more never hurts. My golden daisy is my child she is so spoiled and if you trust me with your dog they will be too. She is full of energy and loves all dogs and people haha. She does not know what stranger danger is. I have a huge fenced in back yard. About: Growing up, I’ve always had a strong love for animals. Free of charge, I would cat sit for my neighbors while they went on vacation, walk my friends dogs in my spare time, and additionally scroll for hours on end through sites that had dogs for adoption.
