“Hillary and her family are amazing! We live about 40 minutes away, but as soon as we got there, we immediately felt like their land was a perfect place for dogs to play. So, it was worth the drive! Hillary was so kind and her kids were very friendly. Daisy felt comfortable in their home right away. She had another puppy staying there over the weekend and her own dog Joshua. I was a little worried about how my puppy would do with other dogs and children, but seeing her play with them before I left was so comforting. Hillary has a background in puppy training and I could tell just by how she interacted with Daisy and the other pup. Hillary was great with communication and sent pictures every day! Daisy always looked happy and having a wonderful time! Most of the time, when I send Daisy somewhere, I feel sad knowing she’ll spend the majority of the time in a crate, but this was the complete opposite! “Very highly recommended! Chantal and her husband were great caretakers for our two dogs for a week’s time — even more than we could have expected. They have a beautiful, spacious, safe place — both indoors and for when they had to go outside. My husband and I felt 100% comfortable leaving them there while we were away. From the beginning during our meet-and-greet through pick-up at the end of our trip, we saw just how kind and calm they were, treating our dogs just like their own dog and providing lots of interaction and play. Also, Chantal was extremely accommodating of our 7 month old puppy’s “puppy behavior” and attentive to the need to go outside more frequently. She provided updates every day (and was very responsive to other questions) and we could see just how relaxed our pups were, as if they were staying with family. We are definitely planning on using Chantal’s services the next time we need to go out of town.”

While I will happily accept ALL dogs under 30lbs, I specialize in elderly pets/special needs pets who don't do well in boarding situations and need extra care throughout the day. I am currently the only sitter in the western area of VA that is certified through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council, a 3rd party certification. When we aren't hanging out in that room, our house has hardwood floors with many rugs to keep paws stable, and tons of dog beds(of all sizes) scattered around for comfort. For potty times, I have a spacious fenced-in yard with plenty of shade! Meal times are at your pet's schedule! I make sure to follow any feeding and medication schedules you provide. My husband works from home, so if I am delayed due to traffic from an errand or such, he can let the pups out to potty or give time-sensitive medications/feedings. Pups are crated or placed in a separate room for Meal times and during Potty rotations to ensure no one gets too rowdy and no one becomes aggressive over their food. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 3 years now. I can do various things including walking and bathing almost any dog. Taking care of dogs is my job and I love it! My work schedule is pretty flexible so I am able to do walks/drop ins pretty frequently throughout any day of the week. My best times would be before 12 and after 7 but I can typically do times in between as well with enough notice I would care for your pet in any way necessary by following any instructions you can give me. About: My love of animals started as a youngster and I started as a vet tech while in high school, I worked there throughout high school and then was a pet sitter for several years while living in Maryland in my early 20's. Either cats, dogs, or horses I love them all. I can work with your schedule and would be able to keep your pet during the day while you are at work or even for an overnight stay. My schedule is flexible and I have all the time in the world to put towards your pet. I have a large yard that your fur babies can enjoy. I would keep them leashed at all times and can crate your pet if necessary. My son would be of great help and would give lots of extra love to your babies while you are away.
About: With prior experience in the veterinary related field and a Furmom to four, I have worked with a variety of animals. I am a current pet parent to two dogs, two cats and a thriving saltwater ecosystem. I love animals! In fact, I’ve lived with them my entire life. About: I love animals every one of them. It's very therapeutic to me. I don't have all of the experience as most people who are on here, however I'm very patient with animals I have grown up with animals my entire life and I've always enjoyed the responsibility of taking care of a pet. I go above and beyond for any animal,(including wildlife) every animal deserves dignity, especially when they are apart of a family. I am very calm even when animals may be fretted or not sure. It's all about body language. I have a lab and I enjoy taking him hiking, bike riding, and sometimes just simply loving the cuddles and kisses while relaxing. Animals love me I don't know what it is about me but I enjoy giving the I currently am in college at Liberty University, but I’m online, which gives me a lot of availability to care for and love on others pets. I’m not an animal whisperer by any means, haha, however, I feel like it sometimes. Animals in general but dogs really have a special place in my heart they are just drawn to me and I’m drawn to them. I pay a lot of attention to their body language. I think that’s super important. I am a jogger and love to be outside and stimulation for a dog is super essential in pet care and I always make sure that I’m not only giving tons of kisses and love while their hoomans are gone but ensure they are thriving and they feel safe and comfortable with me. It’s my only goal. They are amazing animals and while kennels aren’t a a terrible option, I find it more comforting to the animal to be in their own home.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs since I was 4 years old. I have had pets of my own, cared for neighbors pets, and pet sitting as well. I am currently not working and am self employed part time, so I will have plenty of time to care for and play with your dog and/or cat! I have a leash tied to our porch rails for any dogs that I watch, or go outside with them on the leash to make sure they are safe. They are safe and comfortable in the house with lots of spaces to relax and play in, 4 bedrooms total.

“Hillary and her family are amazing! We live about 40 minutes away, but as soon as we got there, we immediately felt like their land was a perfect place for dogs to play. So, it was worth the drive! Hillary was so kind and her kids were very friendly. Daisy felt comfortable in their home right away. She had another puppy staying there over the weekend and her own dog Joshua. I was a little worried about how my puppy would do with other dogs and children, but seeing her play with them before I left was so comforting. Hillary has a background in puppy training and I could tell just by how she interacted with Daisy and the other pup. Hillary was great with communication and sent pictures every day! Daisy always looked happy and having a wonderful time! Most of the time, when I send Daisy somewhere, I feel sad knowing she’ll spend the majority of the time in a crate, but this was the complete opposite!
