“Gunna had a great time and made himself at home with Jessica and her kids. He had a fun time playing in the large backyard and on his walks. Jessica was quick to respond, gave us daily updates, and above all was able to watch Gunna last minute.”

“I usually never leave reviews, but Julie and Kenneth have been the best thing to happen to us for puppy care. We were updated often throughout the day and throughout the duration of our Tater Tot's stay. I love that our puppy was able to have a playmate to socialize with and learn from, even while he was away from us and his usual training. It really broke my heart to leave him for the first time while on vacation, but now I don't feel the slightest bit nervous about leaving him with them for future vacations and I know Tater is also anticipating his next stay to see his little friend! He is definitely in great hands!”

“I could not have asked for a better dog sitter! From the very beginning, Shanae was professional, dependable, and incredibly caring with my dog. It was clear that she truly loves animals and treats them like family. I received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My dog was happy, well cared for, and comfortable the entire time. Shanae went above and beyond to make sure all routines, feeding schedules, walks, and playtime were handled perfectly. When I returned home, it was obvious that my dog had been loved and cared for exceptionally well. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and compassionate dog sitter. I will absolutely be using her again in the future! Thanks again Shanae!”

“Tavonne was absolutely amazing! Very professional, reliable, and caring throughout the entire booking. I really appreciated the consistent communication and updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My pet was well taken care of and happy when I returned. I highly recommend Tavonne to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable sitter!”

“Angela is the absolute best. She provided the best care and treated my dog like a king. My high energy dog came back so well behaved and incredibly well groomed, she treated him to spa days, made him amazing homemade health treats, stuck to his routine and provided me so many updates and pictures I was never left questioning his wellbeing. I almost don’t want to leave this review so I don’t have to fight for her care in the future. But she is honestly the best care giver. I don’t want anyone else watching my dog but angela at this point. 100/10. Thank you angela ❤️❤️”

“Brandy is awesome. My dogs loved staying with her and her family. She sent lots of update pictures and videos of my boys while we were gone. It was like they were on a vacation, too. I 100% would recommend her to anyone that needed to board their dogs.”

“I’ve taken my puppy to Nancy twice now and will continue to do so! He loves her so much that when I brought him back he dragged me to her door ❤️ Nancy also sends pictures and updates throughout the stay, she’s very reliable.”

“Alexis was the best! We are transitioning from Boston Massachusetts to Hampton roads, and at the last minute I needed a sitter for 2 of my golden doodle boys, to move my remaining items to VA, and Alexis quickly responded and agree to Take my boyz. She took pictures and messaged me daily about much fun they were having. We definitely will utilize Alexis again! We found a sitter here in Hampton Roads! Yay!!”

“We can totally recommend Aurelie for your furry friend. The backyard is awesome for the dogs to run around and she always sends pictures to keep you up to date. We found a new dog sitter and a good friend at the same time with Aurelie and her family :) we're looking forward to meet them again”

“This was my first time using Rover and I am very pleased. A'Lauren was so informative while I was away. I will definitely use her again!!! This left my mind at ease!!!”

“She quickly accommodated me and responded quickly as well. My pup seems to have enjoyed his stay, even though he was a bit shy at first. Definitely will rebook.”
“We had our two rescues in Cassandra’s care and felt completely at ease with her watching our two pups during our mini-Vaca. From photos and videos, to updates on how their days went, we were always informed and could tell how much love is shared in Cassandra’s home. She and her family took care of them like they were her own. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Serena is the sweetest sitter ever! Beans enjoys being with her probably more than she enjoys being at home! I cannot recommend her enough for your pet sitting needs.”

“I don't know where to start. She is absolutely the best care giver for your fur baby. Mocha was loved and she sent me pictures and videos while I was in Minnesota. She even updated me with all her moods and behavior with other puppies. I'm so thankful.”

“Emily is the best! She is so kind and caring. My dog is very loved while in her presence and i can tell she has the genuine heart for animals! highly recommend! 10/10!”

“Jakorey took excellent care of my dog when I went out of town. He sent me several pictures of him, walked him and played with him. I would take my dog to Jakorey again. Thank you.”

“Kim was phenomenal with our 2 boxers--from the very beginning with a scheduling snafu on my part until pick up, Kim was just the most flexible, understanding person! We are so glad we found her. We got pictures often and I could tell my furbabies were part of the family there. We've already booked our next stay. Thank you Kim!!! Cortney, Brandon, Dexter & Scarlett”

“I am so grateful to Lauren for taking care of Lucy over a holiday weekend. Don’t know what I would’ve done without her. She was on time every day and is very very reliable and I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Felicitas is truly exceptional. My cat Mina is quite spoiled and not very sociable, which is common for many domesticated cats. Her mother was feral, and Mina is deeply bonded to me, so she can be wary of others. While some might find this behavior off-putting, Felicitas was patient, attentive, and handled Mina with complete professionalism. From the moment I met her, I knew she was the right sitter for us. She has a genuinely kind spirit, and it’s immediately clear how much she loves animals. Felicitas is without a doubt one of the best pet sitters on Rover. If you choose someone else, your pet will miss a rare opportunity to be truly loved and cared for, and you’ll miss out on the same peace of mind I had while away.”

“Jasmine, took excellent care of my two special kitties. She was respectful and kind and had great attention to detail, and I will definitely be back when I travel again for Jasmine to take care of my kitties.”
“Mary was great! She’s awesome at communicating and such a reliable pet sitter. She sent me so many picture updates of my ferret while I was gone. The report card is so stickin cute! She followed all of my directions of what needed to be done and exceeded expectations. Definitely recommend! Will have her watch my weasel again”
“My children can’t even give this cat his insulin! Dalenne is amazing. I feel blessed to have found her. Hoping she can help my next trip! Thanks for asking Beth Pierce”

“I have never seen our sassy bird take to someone as quickly as Ashley, he was putty in her hands when most of my family still can’t pick him up! She was extremely good about communicating with us which put us at ease knowing he was getting great care when we were far away. She kept his cage tidy and we could tell in the pictures how much he was enjoying his visits. We can’t recommend her enough and would hire her again in a heartbeat!”

About: Hi! I've worked with a lot of different sizes and breeds, as well as different temperaments when it comes to dogs and cats. I can also administer medications and take care of exotic fish or other animals if needed. A little bit about me: I am a very calm, patient, and dependable person with 5 lovely dogs between my husband and I( I had 3 and he had 2 when we met!). We have a nice big backyard! I am open to learning and providing your pup with any accommodations that they may need during my visits and/or their stay. I understand how important it is to make sure they feel safe and loved. Feel free to ask any questions. I look forward to working with you! *I do have a toddler at home most days, so it is important that your dog is friendly with children when considering doggy day care. She will not join me for drop on visits or walks! I do my best to provide service at the times requested. I am very dependable, however I may suggest an alternate time if there is a conflict. I will make it work! I am very organized and respectful when making a visit to a pet parents home. I also make sure doors are locked and light are off when I leave.

You can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and treat your pet like they’re my own. I’m grateful that my work schedule as an environmental scientist is flexible and remote. It’s easy for me to prioritize pet care to fit within your schedule. While caring for your pet, I promise to treat your home as well as your fur baby with care and respect. I love being outdoors and am happy to take your pet for lengthy walks whether or not you have a fenced in yard.

“Kat was amazing! She helped us with a last minute trip and was super accommodating with our scrambled planning. She took care of our kitty super well. Would definitely recommend her!”

About: I’m currently active duty Air Force, newly stationed in Hampton, VA. Since I can’t have pets in the dorms, caring for yours is the next best thing and honestly, it makes my day every time I get to spend time with animals. Before moving here, I volunteered for several years at nonprofit rescues that specialize in disabled and special-needs animals. My responsibilities included feeding, bathing, cleaning kennels and litter boxes, refreshing bedding, and making sure each animal got individual attention and affection. I also assisted with basic grooming, gentle handling for nervous pets, and light training reinforcement during play or walks. Since moving to Virginia, I’ve been volunteering at The Cat Corner in Hampton, where I work exclusively with cats. I help with feeding, litter changes, sanitizing enclosures, and socializing cats to prepare them for adoption. It’s helped me become especially good at reading feline body language and handling shy or anxious cats. I also have experience with house sitting, dog sitting, cat sitting, and snake sitting, so I’m very comfortable adapting to each pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether that means sticking to a feeding schedule, going for long walks, keeping up with playtime, or sending regular photo updates. I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their people are away. When I’m not working or volunteering, I love spending time outdoors, reading, cooking, going to the gym, and exploring Virginia. I’m also working toward becoming a lawyer while continuing my military career and of course, always finding ways to stay close to animals and help those in need. I’d love to help care for your pets like they’re my own with patience, reliability, flexibility, and plenty of love.

“Brandy is an excellent dog sitter!!! I’m so grateful to have found her. She was quick to respond and immediately made me feel at ease. Milo went to her home for daycare and he did not want to leave! She played with him, took walks with him, and even did some obedience training. Milo came home tired and happy. She also sent photos and videos which always puts me at ease. I would highly recommend!”

About: I have been caring for dogs since 2011 and have owned a variety of breeds, including Yorkies, Beagles, and German Shepherds. My dogs have always been beloved family members who lived long, happy lives. I understand the importance of dependable, loving care and will treat your pet with the same attention, patience, and affection I give my own. I work from home, which allows me to provide frequent attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Because I am home most of the time, pets in my care receive plenty of supervision, affection, and a consistent routine. I know every pet has their own routine, so I take the time to learn what makes them comfortable. Whether that means sticking to a specific feeding schedule, going for extra walks, playing fetch, or just relaxing on the couch, I try to keep their day as normal as possible. I work from home and have a fully fenced yard, which allows for plenty of supervised outdoor time, exercise, and play throughout the day. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I recently moved from Newport News to Hampton and I look forward to meeting new pet parents and your fur babies. I have had dogs and cats throughout my life starting with my dog Peanuts who my parents gave me when I was 5 years old. He was a Fox Terrier. He lived to be only 13 because of a heart defect,, but he was my best buddy for many years. After his passing,, I was given an orange tabby/angora which my mom named Morris. He lived a very long life,(19 years). I went on to own many wonderful dogs and cats over the years. My current pets are a French bulldog named Frankie and a blonde Tabby named Alyssa. They both get along well with other dogs and cats. I'm retired and have plenty of free time to care for your furbabies. I have raised pitbulls and chow chows and personally house-trained many puppies. I have a large backyard that is not fenced but I live in a very walkable neighborhood I always try to make a new pet as comfortable as possible in my home. I want them to feel safe and loved.

I would love to serve you and your pet by caring for them while you are away and giving you peace of mind knowing they are being spoiled and loved on during my visit with them. I am available for dog walks, stopping by to let them potty and get some energy out, throwing the frisbee, belly rubs, or anything else they might need! Also, I would gladly text you photo updates if requested! I am a nurse & my shifts usually end in the early afternoon and I am off most weekends! My weekly schedule is very consistent. I will care for your pet just as I would my own! I will make sure all of your needs are met for your pet to assure that they are well taken care of while you are away.

About: I grew up on a small farm in the Maryland agricultural reserve and have experience caring for animals big and small, from dogs and cats to sheep and emus!
I’m currently in the military, so my schedule varies often. However I am more than able to take care of your fur babies either in the morning, afternoon, and the evening. I am more than happy to care for your pets at your home, however my cats are still adjusting to getting adopted! I will keep your baby on their schedule with eating and using the restroom, but if you’d like anything else added, please don’t hesitate!

“Gunna had a great time and made himself at home with Jessica and her kids. He had a fun time playing in the large backyard and on his walks. Jessica was quick to respond, gave us daily updates, and above all was able to watch Gunna last minute.”

“We cannot say enough wonderful things about wonderful Michele! Our anxious Shih Tzu can be very nervous around new people and changes in routine, but from the very beginning, she showed incredible patience, kindness, and understanding. She took the time to make Charlie feel safe, comfortable, and loved, and it truly made all the difference. We received updates, photos, and reassurance while we were away, which gave us complete peace of mind. It is clear she genuinely cares about animals and treats them like family. We are so grateful to have found someone we trust completely and would highly recommend her to anyone, especially those with anxious pets!”

“Melissa and Jeremy are the best! Captain warmed right up to them and felt like he was at home. Melissa and Jeremy are very communicative and accommodating. I am at ease with my dog in their care. Highly recommend to anyone in the Norfolk area. Also, great picture and photo updates throughout the day.”

“Johnathan was a great sitter really went above and beyond for my kitty son. His regular sitter moved and we tried Johnathan for the first time. He was very communicative and even offered to help me settle my cat in and see where he will be at. He kept constant communications and pics of my kitty. You can tell he really does care for animals. Very polite and respectful I’ll always trust him with my son knowing he’s in good hands. It was a rough beginning with my cat getting settled in but Johnathan was very patient and understanding. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter!”

“Erica is AMAZING!! I have a reactive dog and this was my first time boarding him. I was never comfortable leaving him because of his reactivity. Erica knew just how to handle him, even introduced him to her dogs with no reaction from him. She put all of my concerns at ease, answered all my questions and even treated a minor ear infection. She is honestly just the best, I think my dogs are upset they had to come home :)”
