“I'm so grateful that my first time using Rover led me to Dana, who took care of my pups, Boogie and Lilli, while I was away. She did an amazing job looking after them, and they absolutely adore her. Dana made sure they were happy and well looked after. It was clear that she really loves dogs, and my pups felt comfortable and happy around her. I'm so relieved to know that they were in good hands during my first experience with Rover. I highly recommend Dana if you need someone to look after your pups. She's fantastic, and my pups think she's the best! Thank you, Dana, for taking such good care of Boogie and Lilli. 🐾💜”

“Magda and Chris were amazing. So kind and caring with Mogi. Magda sent me regular check ins that showed how comfortable Mogi was with them. It was great knowing that Mogi was safe and happy during my weekend away.”

“Whitney was so amazing with our dogs. This was our first time using Rover and she made the booking process smooth and simple. We were so comfortable leaving our girls with her. We got daily updates and photos of our dogs and the adventures they had the farm. We were at ease and able to enjoy our time away from home without any worries. I will be recommending her to our friends and we will be booking with her again.”

“I have to be very picky when choosing sitters as one pup has separation anxiety and will not stay with just anyone. I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. I specifically chose her due to the training background and I am so glad I followed through though there were not many reviews. I did not have to ask for pictures or updates throughout. She has small children that seem to love dogs so I know my pups received comfort as they love children. She is a gem! To have the patience and be willing to work with us through his anxiety is not something you find in all Rover sitters. Glad to have finally found a permanent option!”

“This was our first time with Jennifer, and it was the best experience! Her dog Charolette has now become my girls best friend. Jennifer was very responsive and sent tons of pictures. She made our trip wonderful because we knew our girls were well cared for!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Leslie provided for our dog, Siku, over the 9 days we were away. From the very beginning, Leslie was communicative, reliable, and clearly experienced with dogs. She made us feel completely at ease leaving Siku in her care. Throughout our trip, Leslie kept us updated with messages and photos, which meant so much to us. It was clear that Siku was not only well cared for, but also happy and comfortable. When we returned, Siku was relaxed, healthy, and clearly had been given lots of attention and love. Leslie truly went above and beyond, and we are so grateful to have found someone we trust. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable, caring, and attentive pet sitter—and we will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Julie was very friendly and took very good care of Volt. She was very responsive and sent pictures and updates frequently. Volt seems to have really liked her and her pets. Will definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for boarding their pets.”

“Amber, goes above and beyond. She’s very responsive and she communicates with me daily by sending pictures and text messages. She ensures that my pet is well taken care of and I can go on vacation and not have to worry. My dog loves going over there. She gets so excited she runs around in circles. I even recommended a friend of mines to use her service and she is very happy that I recommended her.”

“I cannot thank Heather enough for taking such wonderful care of our Pug Mix, Jett. He is high energy and she wore him out! He come happy and tired. She sent me great pictures of him during our time away. He will be seeing Heather again when we go out of town! Thanks Heather!”

“Stephanie was wonderful! Took care of my dog and kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay. She looked happy and well taken care of the entire time! Would definitely book with Stephanie again”

“Rosco had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend stay with Kathryn and her family :) They took such great care of him, like he was one of their own. She communicated and sent pictures daily. Rosco always looked so comfy and cozy, he sure enjoyed his holiday vacation!”

“Jessica truly went above and beyond while taking care of our dog Frank! She provided many updates and pictures and we knew he was in great care! She is amazing with dogs and would absolutely use her again!”

“Heather was absolutely amazing!! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter to watch my fur baby! She has such a kind soul and her love for animals is so easy to feel and a joy to witness. She sent me daily updates, pictures and videos without me having to ask! My mind was at ease the whole time I was away and I know she ensured Booboo was comfortable as he could be. I can’t thank her enough. I’m so happy to have found her, she’s truly a gem 🩷”

“Rebekah was a fantastic sitter! She sends frequent updates with photos of your pup, so you can rest assured that they are happy and safe ❤️ Jane requires almost constant human attention and goes outside every 2-3 hours. Rebekah meet all of her needs and more. Her facility is clean, inviting, and pup friendly. Will most definitely be booking again!!”

“Tara and her family are awesome and they once again took great care of our baby Mia while we were on vacation. She kept us posted daily which is incredibly important to us! Her boys are the sweetest and Mia will miss them for sure ❤️ We highly recommend Tara to watch your pup!”

“Ashley was absolutely wonderful with our cats! She gave detailed check in updates with photos. My older cat even came out to greet her, when she never greets anyone. I 100% recommend her! :)”

“We are so happy to have Kimberly care for our cats! She communicated with us daily through the Rover app and sent beautiful pictures. We could see that our cats were happy and well cared for!”

“Another trip taken with peace of mind as our babes were well taken care of and loved. Daily updates and pics were always right after her check out and detailed. Thank you 😊”
“Kelsey was absolutely the best sitter we could have asked for. She came daily to feed and care for our senior cat and this is the first time we’ve come home from a vacation and he hasn’t yelled (meowed loudly) at us for leaving him. She sent and update and picture every day. We will definitely be calling on her again.”
“Courtney was awesome! She came to visit prior to her drop in so I could introduce her to Walter and go over some things. During her drop in she sent me a bunch of pictures and gave me a whole run down as to what they did. It was truly a blessed feeling that he was being taken care of well!!!”
About: Hi! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, our home always had dogs and cats, so caring for animals has been a natural part of my life from an early age. Over the years I’ve learned how important it is for pets to have regular exercise, fresh air, attention, and loving care to keep them happy and healthy. My husband and I currently share our home with two very spoiled pups—a tiny Chihuahua mix and a large German Shepherd—so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. From energetic walkers to cuddly companions, I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique character. I believe pets are family members, and I treat every animal in my care with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply providing comfort and companionship, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets. I work from home most days, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention and care they deserve. I love spending time outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine, and it’s even better when I can share that time with dogs who enjoy walks, playtime, and exploring. While I do have a large, fenced in back yard, if needed, I provide loving care for pets in their own homes so that they can stay relaxed in the environment they know and love.
About: As the daughter of a pet-sitting business owner and veterinary technician, I’ve been caring for animals from an early age. With over 10 years of experience working alongside my mother and in veterinary offices across Northern Virginia, I’ve learned that every pet is unique and deserves individualized care. Before moving back to Northern Virginia in 2023, I also owned a successful pet-sitting business in St. Croix, USVI. My own pets have taught me a lot as well—my pit mix, Bella, survived both a fighting-breed environment and Hurricane Maria, and my two rescue bassets struggled with separation anxiety, as well as our Moluccan cockatoo we raised from a nestling. Those experiences reinforced the importance of patience, empathy, and consistency. I’m a non-smoker, organized, and detail-oriented. I’m also available for last-minute needs and those holiday plans that sometimes run longer than expected. Above all, I take this work seriously and will care for your pet with the same love I give my own. 🐾🖤 Working mainly from home allows me the flexibility to plan my days around feeding, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe, loved, and cared for. In my home or a client’s, I follow each pet’s usual routine for feeding, walks, play, and rest, while giving them plenty of love and attention to keep them comfortable. We can work on learning new tricks and reinforcing obedience training.

About: I had a cat from as young as 12 years old, and my job was the litter box! Of course, taking care of your cat is much more than that. I will be able to give your cat the love and attention it needs.

About: My name is Alexis F. and I have over 15 years experience with dogs. We've had dogs in my family since before I was born but I really started training at the age of 7 with a local 4H club. In my free time I enjoy training animals in agility, obedience, and tracking. I have experience working with intact animals and managing dogs with behavior issues. I feel that every dog can be a good dog if they are set up for success. Every walk we take is considered training and they will be given a chance to use their brain to their fullest potential. During your dogs walks I offer two types of walk options. The first walk I offer is a training walk where we will spend 15 minutes working on heeling and 15 minutes allowing the dog to smell and go potty. I also offer hikes where your dog will be allowed to walk 1-4 miles over varying terrain depending on their fitness level and ability to get along with other animals. We try to follow owners daily routines the best we can when you leave your dog in our care so that transitions from house to house go as smooth as possible. I am well versed in giving medication and injections for dogs and I am happy to board dogs with special needs. I do ask that dogs are reasonably crate trained so that if they need to be left unattended for any amount of time they can remain in a crate for their safety. I am happy to discuss specific needs as far as crating goes. I am currently only working part time hours and am home most of the days. When I am not a home the pets are carefully monitored by camera in a dog safe part of the house. And given different items to keep them busy and enjoying their alone time. Whenever they have been in the crate they can expect a nice long romp around the property to give them ample time to use their nose and get a good run in. I have a fenced in small dog yard and we have a perimeter fence around our entire property allowing an additional level if security. When our on walks we make sure harnesses and collars are fit correctly and if there is a chance of a dog being a flight risk we take extra measures to prevent dogs from slipping out of collars. I am experienced in off leash trained dogs and I am happy to follow any specific instructions for what owners are comfortable allowing their dogs to do.
About: My name is Elena and I am a US Army Veteran who loves animals. I know the feeling of having to be at work all day and not having the time to be at home with your furry buddy that’s why just leave it to me to fill in the love and attention your buddy needs. I understand when a dog feels excited, threatened, scared or even sad, as I had quite a few dogs in my life to experience all those feelings. If your pup or kitty has an accident at home I have no problem cleaning it right up. I have the career and time that allows me to care for pets in my routine. I have two children who also love love animals! I show them the attention any person needs, play with them, cuddle, give them the exercise their specific breed requires. Allowing the pet to feel like they are home.

About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. If you think your dog is aggressive, I can and will evaluate them so that if possible, we will get them socializing with their own kind and having a great time. Thanks, have a good day! I train dogs for a living so I stay at my house 7 days a week besides when I work with clients and those lessons tend to run about an hour but no more than 2 hours! I have 9 years experience running my own kennel and have two dogs with a large fence so there will be no boredom here! I do prefer to kennel dogs for the night but as we get comfortable with each other they will start to earn more freedom! Pet care is my full time job and i wouldn’t have it any other way, it has been a blessing. I hope I can help make your schedule less stressful! While you’re away, let your dogs play! I have a five foot fenced in dog yard specifically for dogs. We also have another 5 acres that we will walk all client dogs on during their stay with us.-

About: I have been pet sitting and house sitting for 1+ days at a time for about 11 years. I treat every home with respect and all pets as my own. I love bonding with and meeting new animals! Each family I've sat for has called me back to sit for them again! Additionally, I have met many new doggos when babysitting in new family's homes. I always treat the pets just as well as the kiddos, giving them lots of love and behind the ear scratches. My family has always had dogs and I've loved dogs of all breeds since I was a little girl. I am a full time speech-language pathologist during the school year, but have flexibility in my schedule and I’m working from home half of the week. I am available for am/pm/afternoon drop in/walk visits and some weekends depending on location and dates. In your home I am comfortable and confident in my abilities taking your dogs out for walks on leashes, or leaving them out in the backyard to get some movement. I can stay and play for a while as needed to give them attention. I have a loving pit-mix at home. If our dogs got along we could potentially plan on having your pet come stay with us for a week/weekend! Additionally, we do have enough space (2 level home), a crate, and a fenced in yard so we can accommodate having another dog who does not get along with other dogs.

They are part of the family and travel with us everywhere. They are well cared for, well fed, groomed, exercised, socialized and constantly stimulated with dog obedience training. Kahlúa is a "Therapy Dog" for Fairfax County Pets on Wheels (local nursing home). I look forward to spending time with your four legged babies! Thank you for taking the time to read "About Me".

“I cannot thank Heather enough for taking such wonderful care of our Pug Mix, Jett. He is high energy and she wore him out! He come happy and tired. She sent me great pictures of him during our time away. He will be seeing Heather again when we go out of town! Thanks Heather!”

“Tara and her family are awesome and they once again took great care of our baby Mia while we were on vacation. She kept us posted daily which is incredibly important to us! Her boys are the sweetest and Mia will miss them for sure ❤️ We highly recommend Tara to watch your pup!”

“Maria was very nice, communicative, and took great care of my two dogs during their stay with her. She has a nice spacious house and a fenced in backyard which is a plus. We will definitely use her in the future.”

“Nathan is a professional. Will definitely be back. He has excellent communication, booking was easy and he was so flexible for us. I couldn’t be happier. He even gave our pup a bath and gave medicine. Such a positive experience! Thank you Nathan!”

“Chaoran was great. She took good care of Elsa and kept me informed about how she was doing. When I went to pick her up, Elsa seemed a bit conflicted as to whether she would prefer to stay there or come home with me.😂 I took that as a good sign.”

“Lisa is a terrific Rover. She took care of our two girls a German Shepard and a senior Chihuahua. Lisa communicated with us daily and our dogs were able to have fun adventures making sure they were happy, safe and healthy. We hope to use Lisa for all our pet sitting needs. She is our 3rd state, 3rd Rover and the best.”

“Lakeshia was so loving and kind to our older dog. Winter wasn't feeling well with an upset tummy, Lakeshia went above and beyond with making her vet approved food and kept us posted on her progress regularly while we headed home from out of state. I truly appreciated all of her kindness.”

“2nd time booking and Domino was absolutely thrilled and right at home from the moment he arrived. No stress at all this time. Care and communication were excellent, as always. We’ll definitely be booking again!”
