About: I've been taking care of animals of all kinds since I was 12! I started volunteering early with a local humane society and have been active in rescues ever since. I have also fostered dogs from two months-10 years old, including medical fosters, so I'm comfortable giving pets medicine if need be. I currently work at UVA in their communications office, where I have a lot of flexibility, especially on Thursdays and Fridays when I work remotely. I'm available most weekends and many holidays! I live in a shared house with a unfenced backyard and a couple of roommates, both of whom love dogs! There's a trail near me that I enjoy walking dogs on if they are OK with other people/dogs. Otherwise, I take dogs on walks once or twice daily.

I volunteered at the Cincinnati Animal Shelter for 3 consecutive years before I moved to Indianapolis, where I volunteered and fostered at Indy Humane!! About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. About: I have been taking care of friends, family members animals for over 2 years now while attending college. I love giving care to their furry friends while they are away. About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. Throughout middle/high school, I volunteered with our local SPCA and was able to gain more experience in learning different traits and behaviors of dogs. During this time, I assisted with a program that allowed members of the community to come in and learn more about dog training; this allowed me to gain greater experience into the proper ways to train a dog. Throughout my time in undergrad, I frequently dog sat/walked for the residents and attendings at our academic hospital. I have worked with dogs of all ages and sizes, who have had variable care and medical needs. Currently my family (my parents) has three rescues at home. They are my favorites (obviously haha) and you can find Apollo dressed up many times in the pictures up here! The dogs live with them though in a different state (that’s why i clicked no on « do you have any pets). I’m currently a preparing to start my first semester as a full-time grad student; however once the semester begins, my schedule remains highly flexible and will allow me time to engage in pet care! I have a lot of availability on the weekends, but also plenty of time during the weekdays to fit in a walk or to pet sit. While I do believe that socialization is an important part of a pet’s life and development, during my time with them, we will remain to ourselves and avoid interactions with other animals (unless you would like them to engage in that manner). Safety for everyone is one of the most important components to caring for pets, so if you have any rules in place (i.e. crating or off limit areas), I am more than happy to ensure they are followed during our time. One of my former pet parents (and friends) was a certified dog trainer, so I have a lot of experience in adapting to your pet’s lifestyle and giving them the enrichment they need, in a safe manner :)

About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I am no stranger to having to clean up any accidents in the house so that is a non-issue for me. I am also open to taking care of other animals like rodents or turtles or other cage creatures. As an adult, I am lucky to be a cat mama to two beautiful boys, Tito and Cosmo, that I found as strays and have raised from ~6 weeks old.
