About: Please note we are in Troy near Zions Crossroads (about 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and 15 minutes from Lake Monticello). Hi, my name is Katina. I have been caring for dogs as long as I can remember. My earliest memories include setting up agility courses for my german shepherd in my backyard. To say I have a passion for dogs is an understatement. I recently quit my job to pursue dog boarding full time and I could not be more excited to spend all day with your pup(s)! We spend lots of time on play, exercise and enrichment. Our yard is set up similar to a dog park meaning we have two separate fenced areas for dogs comfort. We have one small fenced area (4ft fence) to accommodate small, elderly, timid and handicapped pups as well as a large dog park sized fenced area to accommodate more playful mid sized pups (6ft fence). We also have a whole home generator for added peace of mind. When the weather is nice we like to spend a lot of time outdoors Health and safety is our top priority. We have a zero tolerance policy for aggression. If your dog shows signs of aggression during their stay they will be quarantined for the remainder of the stay and not accepted back. In order to board with us your dog must be friendly with EVERYONE this includes children (even though none are present in the home, they do come and visit), the elderly, cats and other dogs. Please provide proof of rabies vaccination (I need a copy of the in date certificate that is signed by your veterinarian). Please ensure your dog(s) are free from fleas ticks and intestinal parasites. Our storage space is limited so please only bring food (put food in ziplock bag and write pets name on the bag) , medications/supplements, and a leash. We will provide toys, treats, bowls (we have a variety of sizes both regular and slow feeder), crates if your dog needs one and plush bedding. Please ALWAYS pack extra food. We will not be able to fulfill requests to withhold water from your dog, so if this is something you require please choose another sitter. Please provide an emergency contact who is willing to pickup your dog(s) in case of emergency. Drop-offs/Pick-ups are between 8A-8P by appointment only. Please keep pickup/drop off timeframes to a 30 minute window. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I work remote so I can always be available for your little buddy! I’m a medical student, so I will have to be gone a few hours in the morning, but after that I can cater to any of your animals needs. I get up around 7 AM and head to get around 11:30. I always take frequent breaks throughout the day to stretch my legs and get some sun. Whatever you need, I’ll make sure your pet is well loved and appreciated! My house is always very clean and very spacious. I also live right next to a park and go for walks by myself regularly. About: I’ve taken care of dogs all of my life. Walking my neighborhood dogs when their owners were away and having 3 dogs of my own. We currently have an Australian Shepherd who is almost 3. We e had him since he was a puppy. I currently work from home so have time to care for your pup. We have a large fenced in yard and walk our dog down the street daily. I have a fenced in yard and one friendly Australian Shepherd. Our home is pet-safe. We have two cats that have their own space that dogs cannot get to in case they are not fond of each other.

About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. I’m currently working part time three days a week and an occasional Saturday, so I have the time to care and interact for your furry friend. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to the Rivanna trails and a road trip access to a farm with woods in Earlysville for running in fields. I also have a very tolerant cat who actually enjoys dogs staying with me because she’s learned that visiting dogs often get a treat she’s earned one too. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.

About: I’m an experienced pet sitter willing to care for your pets when you’re unable to. Mature and patient, I am an adult who is reliable and provides attention to detail when caring for your pet. I have lived in Gordonsville for 40+ years and had cats and dogs throughout this time. Prior to providing boarding or pet/house sitting service, I will meet with you and your pet to understand your needs and ensure a good fit for all. For day and overnight care, I will provide meticulous notes and/or text messages about feeding, potty breaks, etc. I have experience administering medicine as well as pet/house sitting for multiple pets (up to 20) at the same time. An additional $5 will be added for each drop in visit and walking service, if more than 10 miles from my home. I work from home and have a family of four so someone is almost always home. I try to keep the same routine for your pet as they experience at home. I will take care of your four legged family members like they are my own and provide ongoing text updates and photos throughout their stay.
About: I am a certified professional dog trainer with a degree in veterinary technology. I have been working with dogs for about 11 years now, including dog daycares, boarding facilities, in home dog sitting, and now a professional dog trainer. My training ranges from puppies to semi-aggressive dogs, and pretty much everything in between! All of this info meaning I’m comfortable with a large range of dogs and behaviors, and your dogs will be in good hands! I currently do not have a full time job so my days will be tailored to the pets I care for and taking care of them, and your home. I treat my clients dogs as if they were my own. They obviously receive basic care, but they will get lots of love and cuddles while you are away. Walks and enrichment activities are always provided if you request them!

My fur babies are not snugglers so they choose to sleep on their dog beds.
