I work 3 to 4 hours each day and am home most of the time. I am a master gardener and spend a lot of free time in the yard. I have a fairly large fenced in back yard. “MAGGIE AND HER FAMILY AND EINSTEIN ARE THE BEST!! My girlfriend and I are traveling and needed somewhere for my little pup to stay for a few hours pretty last minute. Maggie responded very quickly and was able to look after my Piper. Piper can get a little nervous around other dogs but Einstein was super gentle and sweet so she was just fine. Not only did Maggie take care of Piper, but so did her family, which Piper loved! She got so many snuggles from everyone and I have the pictures of it… which is another great thing about Maggie. She will send you pictures throughout your pups stay which I appreciated SO MUCH! I have never left Piper with anyone before so was very nervous about it. Getting picture updates was great and Piper looked so happy in every single one! And she really loved going for a walk with Maggie and Einstein! I’m a full-time teacher, so I’m at work during the school day, but I’m home after school and have afternoons and evenings to spend with the dogs. My husband has a flexible schedule and typically doesn’t start work until around 10:00 AM and is home by about 3:00 PM. This means your pup won’t be alone for long stretches of time, and there is someone around during much of the day. Our mornings are busy with getting the kids ready for school, but we make time for potty breaks, breakfast, and some attention before everyone heads out. Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, potty, and medication routines as closely as possible. Our goal is to make their stay feel comfortable, safe, and as much like home as possible!

At the meet and greet session, it was clear that she knew what she was doing and how best to prepare for taking care of our cat, Molly. While we were out of town, Laura kept us apprised of what she was doing for Molly. Molly never made herself available for a photo, but Laura sent a photo of Molly’s feeding area so we could see that she had given Molly everything she needed. Laura went above and beyond in cleaning Molly’s litter box area, clearing the entire floor of the bathroom of tracked-around bits of litter (Molly is a very messy cat). After our return, Laura recommended some different litter boxes that might help curb Molly’s messiness in the future. That was a much appreciated step beyond our expectations!”

About: I grew up taking care of dogs in my neighborhood as a kid and teenager. I have always had a big love for furr animals! About: We’re a dog-loving family with experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels. We have two dogs of our own: a senior Lab/hound mix and a middle-aged Great Dane. We’re comfortable with everything from energetic playtime to older dogs who prefer a slower pace, and we’re happy to follow your dog’s normal routines, feeding schedule, and house rules. We both work hybrid schedules, so someone is home with the dogs most of the time. Dogs get regular outdoor breaks throughout the day and plenty of attention and interaction. We’re happy to accommodate dogs who need more activity as well as those who are content to relax and hang out with us. We have a large, fenced-in yard where dogs can safely get outside and play. Our fence is approximately 3 feet high and made of hog wire, so we’re best suited for dogs who aren’t jumpers or determined escape artists. Our own dogs respect the boundary. We also have a dog-loving 4-year-old, so dogs must be comfortable and safe around children. Our dogs are friendly and accustomed to sharing their space with other dogs. At night, visiting dogs sleep downstairs on their own dog bed or one of our designated “dog couches.” Crate-trained dogs are welcome to use their crate if that is what makes them most comfortable.

About: My family has had dogs forever, ranging from small medium and large so growing up with all kinds of dogs has given me experience in how to handle any situation with any dog! I’m currently a full time student and on the William & Mary Varsity Men’s soccer team, however, I have many breaks throughout my day. The only block of the day I’m usually completely unavailable is from 2-6PM When caring for pets in clients homes you can expect the utmost respect for the home but also a willingness to learn how you usually handle your dog at home. Whether that is using the crate and having some more strict guidelines, or if it is a more relaxed environment.

About: I have been a dog owner for 10 years! I also have owned cats and ferrets in the past! I have experience with dogs ranging from puppies to seniors. I currently live in the Virginia Beach area but live and go to school at William and Mary where I have pets I care for regularly! I do work about 20 hours a week at my regular job but typically do not work until later in the afternoon. When I have taken care of pets in the past, I found it to be very easy to fit it in to my schedule. I will treat and respect your space like it is my own space. About: I have grown up with animals. Dogs and cats are at the top of the list. I've been around domesticated animals all of my life. My first kittens at my young age was two siames kittens Who had 2 litters of kittens as well as having to toy poodle dogs, that had two litters of puppies twice. I must have been about 10 so it was from then that I have been loving & caring for fur babies.. Though I do not Own a dog or a cat right now, but look forward to owning some in my future.. I currently own a guinea pig. I just recently experienced the end of a pug/fur baby end of life. I took care of the pug for his last six months of life. Soon after that I boarded a beautiful pitbull for the weekend of mother's day. So to book with me, i'm sure I will have you covered.. Because I am home during the day I am a great fit for you fur baby. I love on your Fur baby while you are on occasion or just I'll have an a fun day. About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes since I was just a kid. My partner Rex has also had dogs growing up. You can count on us to make sure that your pup is well cared for and loved while we watch them. Both myself and my partner have open availability and will be around. We will communicate with you should we need to step out for a moment for any reason. We have a dog of our own named Cap who is a lab/hound mix and four short hair cats (Anri, Mori, JoJo, and Astora). About: I have taken care of lots of dogs over the years. I love on all of them, and give great doggie massages. I take the dogs on daily walks. I work 3 to 4 hours each day and am home most of the time. I am a master gardener and spend a lot of free time in the yard. I have a fairly large fenced in back yard. My husband has a flexible schedule and typically doesn’t start work until around 10:00 AM and is home by about 3:00 PM. This means your pup won’t be alone for long stretches of time, and there is someone around during much of the day. Our mornings are busy with getting the kids ready for school, but we make time for potty breaks, breakfast, and some attention before everyone heads out. Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, potty, and medication routines as closely as possible. Our goal is to make their stay feel comfortable, safe, and as much like home as possible!
