“Rocky loved his 3 night stay here! Richard and Kelly were quick to respond and I felt comfortable leaving Rocky here. They took him on walks through the woods every day which I know he loved! I would likely only recommend them to people who have outdoor dogs, or dogs that don't mind noise/dogs barking. Rocky is an outside dog so I am certain had no issues sleeping outside or listening to the other dogs bark in the kennels all day. I don't think a dog that is used to being indoors and a in a single dog house would love it here like Rocky did!”

About: I've been around cats of various personalities since I was very young. I have pet- and house-sat for friends and family for many years now, and it is a genuine joy to spoil their pets rotten. I have owned and pet-sat senior cats many times, and I have a decent amount of experience with oral medication. About: In addition to my Vet Tech training and work in vet clinics, I've been the proud "Mom" to many feline companions over the years. Until about 2 years ago, we had 5 adopted cats that grew up together until the last one passed at 21 years old in 2024! We have since adopted 2 senior cats who have brought a whole new dynamic into our lives. Sadly, they went to doggy and kitty heaven when I was around 10🥺 In November of 2023, I lost my sweet Treeing-Walker Coonhound named, Maverick. He was as feisty as they come! During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. About: I have two pups of my own including one who is very high strung. new to the world of pet sitting but always eager and willing to learn! in my day to day job, i work as a RN but have a special place in my heart for animals. I work 4 days a week as an RN but that means my daily availability fluctuates each week to help provide the best care for your pets. Your pets will be treated as if they were my own and so will your home. Please know that respect is my utmost concern when offering any services and is guaranteed.
About: I am an experienced pet caregiver based near the Smith Mountain Lake area. I have hands-on experience caring for a variety of dogs, including large breeds, and am comfortable administering oral medications, providing bathing and basic grooming care, and handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. My experience comes from both personal and professional care. I have cared for my own dogs, as well as my parents’ and sister’s dogs, giving me regular, real-world experience with daily routines, exercise, feeding schedules, and overall pet wellbeing. Professionally, I have worked at a dog kennel where I was responsible for feeding, bathing, and supervising dogs in group play settings while ensuring safety and appropriate behavior. I also worked as a bather at a pet store, where I gained experience handling dogs during grooming-related services and maintaining their comfort throughout the process. I am back home in the area for a while and looking to gain some clients while I’m there. I am willing to travel to your home to dog sit and give your dog the best care that I can while your gone. About: I have had the pleasure to take care of animals my whole life. After going to boot camp I realized how much animals actually give you peace of mind on a daily basis and I have taken care of neighbors animals and family ever since. I have plenty of space for animals of all sizes and a fenced in yard for dogs who need to run. I love to go on walks as I am very active and have to keep my 2 mile up always. I am also very patient for kitties who just want to lay around and sleep. If given the opportunity I would love to spend my time with the animals you love. I am in the national guard so I work 1 weekend a month and the rest is free! I am currently trying to make animal sitting an everyday thing so I can work out any times needed. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space inside as well. I have a doggy door for smaller dogs but I can let the bigger ones out just as easily. I do have a cat that is very friendly but she can go in my room if needed. There is room in my house to play and room for an animal to be alone if they wanted or needed

About: Hi there! My name is Ashtyn! My whole life has been filled with animals! Growing up, I had a Yellow Lab, Dawson, and Maine Coon, Zeke. Sadly, they went to doggy and kitty heaven when I was around 10🥺 In November of 2023, I lost my sweet Treeing-Walker Coonhound named, Maverick. He was as feisty as they come! Now, my husband & I spend our time loving on his pup, Bella, a Pitbull/Alaskan Malamute mix, & our 1-year-old Dachshund, Rex. Although I got connected on Rover in 2023, I have taken care of all different dog breeds from small to large over the past 6 years. Many of them have been in this area, while some were down in West Palm Beach, Florida when I lived there! I have consistent clients all around!! I would love for you & your pup to be one ◡̈ I just graduated with my degree in Communications & Journalism, which led to my new dog-sitting company! I also sit through Rover!! I am available full-time ☺️ I prefer to care for your pet in the home that they are used to! “Rocky loved his 3 night stay here! Richard and Kelly were quick to respond and I felt comfortable leaving Rocky here. They took him on walks through the woods every day which I know he loved! I would likely only recommend them to people who have outdoor dogs, or dogs that don't mind noise/dogs barking. Rocky is an outside dog so I am certain had no issues sleeping outside or listening to the other dogs bark in the kennels all day. I don't think a dog that is used to being indoors and a in a single dog house would love it here like Rocky did!”
