“Samantha is truly heaven sent. I was so nervous about sending our baby to someone she doesn’t know but they made her feel so welcome and loved!! She kept me updated and sent pictures. Absolutely wonderful experience. She will be my go to every time!!”

“Booking Shannon to watch my dogs was one of the best decisions I've made in recent history. They were well cared for, loved, and their needs accommodated. This was my first time using Rover for multi-day boarding don't think I'll ever go back to a kennel. Highly, highly recommend Shannon and her family.”

“Mac is very nice and Gemma loved being there and playing with her dog. She sent regular check ups with us and sending pictures. Gemma is actually missing her best friend!!! She is either tired or missing her friend due to she has been sleeping alot. I will definitely bring Gemma back. She has very nice and quite place for any dog to play.”

“Awesome family! So kind and loving. Our Miso got lots of exercise from their family dogs too! Theresa was so flexible with the timing of our drop off and pick up, made our trip much less stressful! Thank you! Will definitely use you in the future.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was extremely nervous. Lydia was amazing with my pups , she sent updates, videos and pictures the whole time. We will definitely be using her for all our trips out of town from now on. I would give 10 stars if I could!!!”

“Candace was a great sitter! Her parents were helpful as well. Cassie was in good hands and was well taken care of. We were so thankful they accommodated us picking up Cassie after our evening flight.”

“I could not recommend Ms. Pamela enough! She was able to take care of our maltipoo on very short notice on our drive from NY to GA. We discovered Hotel Roanoke does not allow dogs, so we last minute had to find a pet sitter in the area. It is difficult leaving your dog with new people, but Ms. Pamela made the process seamless by being responsive, good at communication, warm, and friendly. Ginger came back clearly well cared for and we got several status pictures throughout the stay. Ms. Pamela has a heart for dogs, and we are so appreciative of her care.”

“Our dog loves his visits with Mirabel. He's well cared for, with plenty of exercise and a safe place to stay. We receive regular updates and photos during his visits. This provider has also been able to provide care when our dog was recovering from an injury. Definitely a dependable and trustworthy provider!”

“Lawdy is an excellent sitter, very sweet and professional! She took care of my two boys like they was here very own, and they absolutely took to her, she gave more that a few daily updates, and that was very very comforting, and when Lawdy returned them to us, you could absolutely tell Brutus and Zeus was happy. They would run to us then back to her, I can’t say enough thank you’s to her… we highly recommend her and I will be using her services in the future”

“Thia was my first time using Rover and Donna made the process very easy. She was helpful, responsive, and provided updates and pictures throughout my dog's stay. She treated my furbaby like her own. I will definitely be using her service again and recommend her to anyone”

“Super thoughtful and communicative, great environment that I felt comfortable leaving Griffey in. He seemed to have a good time meeting new dogs and having new experiences in a safe environment.”

“Marah always does an excellent job with our dog Lilly! Whenever we drop off Lilly she is always excited! When we pick her up, Marah always provides details about the stay, and it's clear she pays close attention to the dogs! Our dog is very playful and always comes home happy but exhausted. Marah is always the first person we ask whenever we need someone to watch our dog!”

“After a good meet and greet, we used Penny and Evan for our first ever Rover experience with our dog, Libby. She is a sweet, high energy dog. Penny and Evan had a fun week with her. We appreciated the picture updates and knew she was well taken care of throughout the week! Thank you!”

“Jody took amazing care of our boy Sam while we were gone! Sam is not the easiest dog in the world to care for, he has extra medical and anxiety needs, and Jody didn't hesitate to take him on. She provided ample daily updates, sent pictures and videos, and communicated promptly any time we reached out for an update. Thank you, Jody! The Fultz Family and Sam appreciate you!”

“Kimberly is accommodating and a wonderful pet care giver. She cares about our dog as much as her own. Our puppy came back to us happy and healthy. Thank you Kimberly.”

“Wonderful establishment with beautiful scenery, tucked back high on a mountain. They're experienced and the kennels are in great shape!. The owners are very forthcoming with information before taking your animals to board there. It was worth the 40 minute drive. They helped me out when I needed help with two rescue dogs that I knew nothing about yet. Please consider them for your next board!.”

“She is someone who is incredibly devoted to animals; her dedication and love are boundless. I had the absolute best experience knowing that Mia was staying in a home filled with plenty of attention, patience, and love. Karlie is always in constant communication, too. She has dogs of her own, and they truly made Mia's stay much more fun, as Mia is super friendly. Mia returned home ready to sleep and rest after days filled with fun and endless running around—in fact, she didn't even want to leave, given how wonderfully she had been treated at Karlie's house!”

“Michele and her wonderful daughter took such good care of my little one. They sent pictures daily to show she was doing well and she was available for questions. It put me at ease knowing my sweet dog was safe and loved while I was away!”

“Amber was wonderful. She made sure our cats were taken care of when we were out of town and even went above and beyond when the bear got into our trash. Highly recommend.”

“Nicole was SO wonderful and did an excellent job of taking care of our cats. They are usually very nervous with new people, but they warmed up to Nicole super fast! She sent lots of pictures during the drop in visits and also made sure our cat took his medicine. We were so comfortable while being on an out of state trip knowing Nicole was stopping by and taking care of them! 10/10 would recommend and will rebook in the future :)”

About: In addition to my Vet Tech training and work in vet clinics, I've been the proud "Mom" to many feline companions over the years. Until about 2 years ago, we had 5 adopted cats that grew up together until the last one passed at 21 years old in 2024! We have since adopted 2 senior cats who have brought a whole new dynamic into our lives. (Friends tell me they want to return in the next life as one of my cats because of the high priority and extraordinary love I give to each and every one.) One of the things I appreciate most about cats is their sense of independence and unique personalities. If I'm asked to care for your felines, I promise to treat them as I would my very own.

About: Bringing a wealth of experience, I offer personalized care that understands and respects the unique needs of your feline companion. From playtime to pampering, count on me to provide attentive and affectionate care, ensuring your beloved cat feels safe, happy, and loved in your absence. I have experience in trimming claws, bathing cats, and administering medicine, even to cats that don't normally enjoy those things!

“We contacted Veronica somewhat last minute due to evolving travel plans, and she was responsive and accommodating. Our plans changed a bit even after we had hired her, and she was able to adjust and take on some extra visits. We were very pleased with her work, her positive attitude, and the way she connected with our dog. She was consistent in checking in and sending us photos of Lily, which gave us confidence that all was well! We highly recommend Veronica as a quality, conscientious pet caretaker!”

“Leslie was super helpful when we needed a sitter for our kitties with super short notice. She was very nice and communicated well! We will be sure to reach out to her in the future.”

“Highly recommend! Gina was amazing and made it so I never had to worry about my fur babies while I was on travel. She provided daily updates and was even able to convince my reclusive kitty to come out of hiding! Will definitely use again. ?”
About: I have several years of experience with both dogs and cats. The largest dog I've handled was 120 lbs. I'm down to cuddle or go on a walk, whatever your pet needs. I am a college student so I am flexible daily and can come by your house when needed. I am free on weekends and most weeknights. I would love if you can give me specifics on your pet's routine and any behavior I should know about. I have some experience with oral medication if your pet ever needs it.

“Angela did a wonderful job taking care of our babies. A situation came up and she informed us right away and she handled it very professionally until we were able to make it home. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Valerie has watched my kitty, Sammy, three times now. She shows up as promised and sends me photos of my sweet boy. She doesn’t hesitate to contact me with questions or to reassure that Sammy is fine. I’d recommend Valerie to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.”

“Lexi did a wonderful job looking after my two ferrets on short notice! She sent great photos and updates, and was very accommodating with their schedule and their needs. I had peace of mind knowing they were well taken care of while I was out of town.”

“Amelia was great watching my two cats while I was out of the country. My normal sitter couldn't do the holidays and Amelia was gracious enough to help out that week, even though I booked a tad bit last minute. I really appreciate you!!!”

I even have jumps and hoops for the active pups who like to jump and have a good time. I can give meds and special diets when needed. I have many referrals.i have two daughters who both work for rover as well. We would love to spend time with your babies and give them love and attention I am a stay at home mom that works one day a week i am free to love and care for your babies while you are away. “Samantha watched my dog Howard for a day and she sent me pics and updates that he was doing well during his visit. He's nervous with new people, but warmed up to Samantha and her family well so I would definitely use her services again!”

“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

About: I’ve taken care of my own dog and watched my neighbors dog, making sure they are well fed, get enough time outside and feel loved while their families are away! I’m currently doing odd jobs over the summer and because of this, I am able to spend a lot of time with your pets! I will be out of the house periodically but will not be out longer than 3-4 hours at a time. I keep a clean and pet-friendly environment at home with plenty of space to relax and a backyard to run around and enjoy time outside. My family will also love spending time with your pet and giving them lots of attention!
“Kimberly was absolutely phenomenal and so kind! Our senior fur baby has a lot of extra needs, so we’ve always put date days aside to ensure we wouldn’t have to leave her home alone. From the first text interaction with Kimberly to meeting in person - we knew that we found someone we could trust! We got picture updates throughout the day, and each care instruction we provided was taken very serious. We will definitely be trusting Kimberly with our fur baby in the future. Thank you SO much!”

“Leslie was fantastic and we have plans to use her in the future as well. She was willing to meet up before hand to see if her dog would get a long with mine as well as meet her. It was an instant hit. She took some pictures and sent them to us and her dog is lovely and gets along great with mine. I have already recommended her to others. Thank you for your understanding and great communication. I look forward to using your services again and knowing my pup is taken care of and treated great!!”

“Emily did an amazing job watching my dog Max today ! She sent sooo many pictures and even logged his poo breaks, pee breaks, and water intake !! I will def be using her again :)”

She also sent lots of photos and updates on his first day to make sure we knew he had settled and was doing okay. Really great experience to have for our 80lbs sensitive boy. Thank you!”

About: Ever since I can remember I've had dogs, cats, brids, ferrets, rats, hamsters, fish, snakes, you name it! I love animals and love watching them thrive in healthy, happy habitats! I am a stay at home mom and spend a lot of my time at home taking care of my children, house, and mini farm. Your dog can follow me around (on or off leash) while I'm in and out of the house or I can put them on a leash, let them burn off engery in the backyard (fenced-in) as long as they are not a chicken killer.
About: As a devoted & experienced SAHM, I have proudly cared for a variety of animals for over 15 years. Dogs, cats, rabbits - you name it! Families entrust their furry companions to my care, often rebooking my services due to their satisfaction & peace of mind. From feeding and exercise to cozy snuggles and playtime, I will create a joyful, nurturing environment where your pets thrive & your family feels confident in my care. I’m able to incorporate pet care into my routines because my schedule is flexible. I ensure all of your pets needs are met with consistency & love. My home will provide a welcoming environment for pets to feel comfortable and safe. They will be able to safely roam the house (unless otherwise stated), get on the furniture, and will be able to adjust calmly. Whether it's dog walking, house sitting, or pet daycare, my services suit the specific needs of each pet and client. For dog walking, I take pups on enjoyable strolls in the neighborhood or nearby parks, providing them with exercise and fresh air. If house sitting is required, I ensure the pets receive round-the-clock care, maintaining their routines, and offering companionship in the comfort of their own home. In the case of pet daycare, I create an engaging atmosphere filled with toys, interactive play, and socialization opportunities, allowing pets to have a fun-filled day while their owners are away. Regardless of the service provided, I prioritize safety, hygiene, and regular communication with pet owners, ensuring they are informed and at ease throughout the entire process.

About: When you're away, your pets deserve more than a quick visit—they deserve knowledgeable, compassionate care from someone who understands their health, comfort, and unique personalities. My journey in animal care began long before I became a registered nurse. I worked as a kennel manager and completed most of a veterinary technician program before a family illness led me to pursue "human" nursing. That unique combination of veterinary training and healthcare experience allows me to provide attentive, responsible care for your beloved pets. What Sets Me Apart: - Former Kennel Manager with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments - Extensive experience with cats, including shy, senior, and special-needs pets - Registered Nurse accustomed to careful observation, medication management, and responding calmly to unexpected situations - Formal Veterinary Technician Training with education in animal health, behavior, and basic medical care - Experience caring for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, ferrets, and other small pets Services Available Dog sitting Cat sitting Daily visits and companionship Walks and exercise Feeding and medication administration Puppy and senior pet care Vacation and weekend coverage Photo and text updates for pet parents I understand that pets are family. My goal is to keep them safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you confidence and peace of mind. Professional. Experienced. Compassionate. Contact me to schedule a meet-and-greet and learn how I can help care for your furry family members. I am currently semi-retired, so I have flexibility in my schedule to hopefully meet your needs. I like to try to keep pets in their regular routine while their owners are away, so I will do my best to work with you on that. Although we have space to care for your pets in our home/land, we don't have a fenced in property and I wouldn't want to stress my own pets with "strangers" in the house. (I also feel that keeping a pet in their home environment is much less stressful for them than relocating them.) I'd be happy to come to your home to and provide quality care to your four-legged (or less) family members. I have owned my own home my entire adult life, so I will honor yours as if it were my own.

“Zoe was great! She was always on-schedule and was very patient with my weird little girl. She does things like hiding when it's time to go out and then pulling a LOT once you finally get her out. But Zoe never complained and always hung around with the baby for a few minutes of love and play after the walk. My schedule has changed and no longer need a dog-walker, but if I ever need one again, will definitely look for her!”

“Laiken has truly been wonderful for my dog and I. He is a puppy, and trying to learn a routine and schedule and she has gone above and beyond to help me. I work night shift and she helps make it work for me. I truly have found i can trust her in my home and with my dog. She updates me with everything she does with him. “Ashlynn is wonderful. She was able to meet for an initial consultation without a lot of notice, and started walking Hoss just a few days later. Hoss has been a handful while we help him deal with his separation anxiety and being home alone for the first time, and Ashlynn couldn't have been more helpful. She was very communicative, and let me know how Hoss was handling his transitions. After one day of Hoss being a bit tentative, he warmed right up to Ashlynn, and I'm excited to make use of her services going forward. Highly recommended!”

About: I have grown up with dogs in my home my entire life, big and small, so I am very comfortable bathing, walking, and cleaning up after them! When in college, I dog and cat sat for roommates as well as friends, giving me ample experience with both kinds of animals and their specific needs. I also fostered a very reactive Hound/Saint Bernard mix for about 6 months, which gave me a great experience working with animals that are not as easy to assist. That being said, I loved it and him all the same. Since graduating, I have continued watching many different pets throughout the years. I am freelance writing and in the process of starting a business at this time, therefore, my availability is quite flexible. Whether you’re in need of a long term sitter or temporary services, I am available for either. I am not currently able to accept pets in my home, however, I have now stayed in numerous client spaces. I like to leave the space just as it was when I arrive, if not better, and always ask for a list of rules/restrictions if there ever is any!
About: Hi everyone! I am currently in school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician, and right now this is my full time job! So I am very flexible when it comes to last minute jobs or even long term jobs! I have experience working as a Veterinary Assistant and have grown up on a farm where I have cared for pets all the way from ferrets to horses! I’m here for any of your pets needs! I have experience in disabled pets, giving meds, or even just getting your high energy dog out to play! I’m work 4 days out of the week, 10 hour shifts, but where I work at a Vet, I am able to leave to let your pet out when need be!! I will care for your pet in your home the same way you will, I will not touch belongings unless told to do so, and I will make sure to clean up any messes made and make your pet feel loved and safe!

“Our first time having Ashley and family board our puppy and we are happy. Our puppy, Luna, was very happy there and got a lot of playing in and slept very well on our way to Northern VA. We will repeat when in town next. She communicates well with us before and during visit. Looking forward to Luna having some more fun at their house.”
