About: I worked for a pet walking company doing a little bit of everything. I have walked dogs (sometimes multiples) and done many drop in visits for potty breaks and play times and feedings. I have an extremely flexible and open schedule due to being a stay at home mom the last few years. I would be available for drop in services at most times. This could be a list of things to have done in a set amount of time or rules on feeding, playing, etc. In my own home you can expect your pets to be spoiled! “Our previous sitter told me they are moving, which prompted me to search for a new sitter. I decided to try Rebecca, and am I glad I did! I was happy with our first sitter, but LuLu spent her time there just sniffing their yard and snuggling up on the couch with the sitter. She barely ate and wouldn't play with their dog. It was such a delight to see how happy LuLu was at Rebecca's place. She ran around the yard like I haven't seen her do since she was a puppy. When Rebecca thought LuLu needed a rest and brought her inside, LuLu whined to go back out, so out she went for more running around! Finally, she took a nap on the couch, then got up and ate all of her dinner. Then she settled down chewing on her toy until we came back for her. She was happy to see us, but gave Rebecca a tail wag when they said goodbye. I'm so glad LuLu found a place where she can thrive when we're gone. Now I won't hesitate to book a vacation! Rebecca was very attentive to the history I gave her about LuLu and my instructions about her routine and fears. We did a Meet & Greet on short notice, and Rebecca showed LuLu and me her back yard and inside her house. She assured me that she would never give LuLu an opportunity to run away. The way Rebecca gave me updates all day long assured me that LuLu was being well cared for and was having a great time. Rebecca is definitely Lulu's new sitter. I couldn't be happier with her care.”

About: I love animals, I had so many cats and dogs. I am always there for them you won’t regret it I promise, it will be like they are home. I am doing online studies so it fits perfectly, everyday. I am a strong believer in treating our pets as well as our kids!! It is very easy for me to connect with animals- that is where most of my passion comes from. I have also fed, bathed, kennel/potty trained and provided medication dogs of many different breeds, sizes, ages & temperaments. I can be extremely flexible. I am conveniently located near Downtown Roanoke, which helps me stay easily and readily available. Typically available for 2-3 check-ins/walks per day. My number one priority will be your pets safety! I will send updates and photos during every visit to reassure you that your pet is well taken care of.
About: I have cared for dogs my entire life, from my own pets, to taking care of friends and family’s pets. I have assisted in training exercises and am well versed in counting and reinforcing trained behavior. I have 5 years of experience with doggie day care and basic grooming services. I am available on weekdays and weekends for walking, pet sitting, or general pet care needs. I am a full time artist, so my schedule is relatively flexible. About: I am an experienced pet caregiver based near the Smith Mountain Lake area. I have hands-on experience caring for a variety of dogs, including large breeds, and am comfortable administering oral medications, providing bathing and basic grooming care, and handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. “I cannot say enough wonderful things about Penny and Evan. I had a last-minute, same-day request for someone to watch my two dogs, Bella and Milo. Bella has severe anxiety (just like her mama) and takes medication three times a day, so leaving her is never easy for me. When I came across Penny and Evan’s profile and saw their picture, I immediately felt at peace. I just knew these were the people I wanted caring for my babies. They accepted my request quickly, and within a few hours I was able to bring Bella and Milo to their home. From the moment we arrived, Penny was warm, kind, and incredibly welcoming. She immediately took us to the backyard so the dogs could sniff and explore. She thoughtfully explained their setup, including a separate area in case bigger dogs were present, which gave me even more confidence in their safety and comfort. Inside, she allowed Bella and Milo to explore freely and get comfortable. She carefully gathered all of my information, emergency contacts, medication instructions, and even provided her personal number. She made sure she had mine as well. That level of thoroughness meant so much to me. When I left, I truly had zero worries. That says everything. Even though I was only gone one night, I received multiple updates, pictures, and even a video. I could see my dogs were relaxed and felt safe — which is especially important for my anxious Bella girl. Seeing her calm brought me more relief than I can explain. When I picked them up, they greeted me with all the kisses I could possibly dream of. Milo even turned back as if he wanted to say goodbye to Penny, which told me everything I needed to know. They were content on the ride home — either completely relaxed or happily worn out from their wonderful adventure! Because of Bella’s anxiety, I have often avoided traveling or visiting family. We’ve tried multiple medications and behavioral treatments over the years. Finding Penny and Evan feels like such a blessing. They reassured me that my babies were happy and that they look forward to seeing them again — and I truly believe it. If you are looking for someone who will treat your pets like their own, communicate clearly, and give you complete peace of mind, look no further. Penny and Evan are absolute gems.
