Alyce hosted us for a meet and greet beforehand to make sure that Maisie and her dog would get along, which really put our minds at ease. Over the course of her stay, we received several photos and videos of Maisie playing with the other dogs and with Alyce’s sons, and you could just tell she was having a fantastic time. She really liked the variety toys that Alyce keeps for the dogs and roaming the nice, fenced backyard! About: I have taken care of dogs for over 20 years- I am great with all breeds and have a knack for training puppies (and older dogs too!) I am working from home and live right along a beautiful pet friendly park! I go on walks and runs throughout the day so love taking pups out with me! I ensure dogs are well taken care of and have experience administering different medications to dogs (including allergy injections) and following dietary restrictions or other needs. They sent me photos during the day to let me know how my dogs were doing, which was great as I am a helicopter pet parent. What began as a last minute doggy day care issue became a blessing as I will always utilize Corey and Nyla in the future when visiting my brother in Alexandria. I should also mention that I have a bossy female toy poodle Lu and a mini Aussie puppy Finn. They are both well trained but get super excited being around new people and Finn needs mental and physical stimulation throughout the day. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a child, I’ve owned a fish, 7+ rabbits, 2 hamsters, a turtle, a chick, and currently own 2 dogs. I’ve petsit for mainly friends, I’ve housed a dog until we could find him a home. I also have experience with Guinea pigs and cats. My current schedule is very open and I have lots of availability! I am available almost daily now and will have lots of time for your fur babies. When I walk dogs I love to play with them and pet them before doing anything else so that they feel more comfortable with me being in their home. Then I clean their diapers and wash/replace their food bowls. Then I will take them for a 30min-1 hour walk and when we return back home I like to give them play time if time allows.

“I was impressed with Daniel right from the start! He is a very humble, respectful, responsible, kind young man who loves animals. My dog Sophie immediately took to him and she would have great walks with him. I asked a lot from Daniel when I went on holiday…and he delivered! He came to my home for 10 days to not only walk my dog but also feed her…give her medicine, and as a bonus, he played with her. Socializing w Sophie went a long way because she was alone most of the time. He would always be on time and, when another dog walker canceled, he quickly covered that shift. No questions or higher charge. He sent a lot of photos too. Since I’ve been back from my holiday, I’ve been in poor health. I texted Daniel and he is now my dog walker on days when I’m unable to take Sophie out myself. Again, punctual & always thinking about what’s best for my dog…. For example, He remembers to dry Sophie’s paws when they arrive from a walk in the snow or rain. I highly recommend Daniel as your dog walker or sitter.”

I looked after my sweet poodle for 17 years, especially when she grew older and developed Alzheimer’s. It was a challenging time, but I cared for her with all my heart. “This weekend was our first experience using Rover for a sitter for our pup, Maisie, and we couldn’t have asked for better than Alyce and her family to watch her! Alyce hosted us for a meet and greet beforehand to make sure that Maisie and her dog would get along, which really put our minds at ease. Over the course of her stay, we received several photos and videos of Maisie playing with the other dogs and with Alyce’s sons, and you could just tell she was having a fantastic time. She really liked the variety toys that Alyce keeps for the dogs and roaming the nice, fenced backyard! We appreciated Alyce’s consistent communication and we had no doubt that our dog was in great, responsible hands and also enjoying herself! We would definitely recommend booking with Alyce and are confident we’ll be requesting her services again in the future!”

“Michael did a great job with my little rescue Yorkie, Gracie. He sent pictures and updates on how she was doing and was very communicative throughout the process. Gracie is a velcro dog who is very shy and anxious around new people and dogs. She seemed to acclimate to Michael and his daughter quickly which I could tell in the pictures. She had been very content and happy once since I picked her up. Will definitely be boarding Gracie with him again in the future.”
