About: From years of experience, I understand the needs of animals. I can have a calming influence on them and, at the right times, I also love to engage in active play. I believe the most effective method to help animals learn good behavior is through positive reinforcement (praise, attention, toys, and occasional treats). I have always loved animals. I have raised and trained a lab and currently have a Schnauzer Yorkie mix (Snorkie). On many occasions, my children and I have cared for dogs of neighbors and relatives while they were on vacation. I really enjoy taking dogs for walks and helping them engage in fun and active play. I am currently available to walk dogs Monday through Friday. On the Rover site we have to select available times. Rover provides time frames and the options I have selected are 11am-3pm and 3pm-10pm. However, there are some evenings when I will have family responsibilities/commitments between 6-10pm. There is not a way to mark that on the Rover app so I will just communicate directly with clients when walks are scheduled. I also board dogs and can discuss availability, pricing, and details with individual clients. I have an enclosed dog run with a heated dog house and a separate enclosed grass yard. Our home has a doggy door, and I also have various sizes of kennels that dogs are able to sleep in at night (indoors). When boarding dogs, I make note of and carefully follow all client instructions (food, treats, medication, walking, etc.). When in a client’s home, I am also very attentive and caring and closely follow all instructions given.

All of my friends will tell you that dogs seem to be drawn to me even if they are typically shy or scared of strangers. I’ve fostered many animals over the years and have helped with adoptions, medical visits, home visits, shelter assessments, and fundraising and community events. I’ve also personally rescued and cared for animals with health issues and have extensive experience with dogs who may need extra patience, understanding, or specialized care. I’m very active and love having dogs join me in the fun. I hike, bike, ski, and paddleboard, and I’m always happy to have a furry companion along for an adventure. Of course, I’m equally happy spending a quiet day at home with a dog curled up on the couch getting plenty of love and extra snuggles. My two senior dogs recently passed away, and I truly miss having dogs in my home. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I would love the opportunity to give your dog the same attention, affection, and care I’ve given my own. I have a very flexible schedule that will allow me to accommodate your pet's needs. I like to adhere to a schedule your pet is accustomed to. My pets were all indoor dogs, well taken care of, and slightly spoiled. They had regular feeding, exercise, and medication schedules. I will adhere to your pet's regular schedule as much as possible.

About: Hello, my name is Reed. I’m a 25-year-old student and former Kennel Technician with hands-on experience in dog sitting, daycare, and boarding on my off days. Over the past year, I’ve also worked professionally leading off-leash group hikes using e-collars, managing 15–17 dogs at a time on dog-friendly trails and parks. This role has given me advanced skills in safe pack management, recall training, and e-collar handling. When your pup is with me, you can count on structured exercise, socialization, and fun adventures at dog parks and on dog-friendly trails. I’ll also make sure you receive high-quality photos of your pet so you can see them enjoying their day. I’ve been formally trained on dog behavior and care through PackPro and the Dog Handler Academy, and I continue to build on that knowledge every day. Feel free to reach out and book a date—I’d love to give your dog the care, attention, and adventure they deserve. I work at the pet resort Sunday-Tuesday and Thursdays. If needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays I can do a late overnight stay for a discount. In the house, I can board a family and give medicine oral or injections. I go to dog parks often, and usually take them outside every hour to an hour and a half. The only requirement is having a dog that is friendly so my dog stays safe as well.
