I’ve had dogs my entire life and have watched and taken care of my friends and family dogs since I was young. About: I have extensive experience as a pet owner. I have owned dogs as small as 10 pounds and as large as 110 pounds and everything in between. I still own a dog, she is a Smooth Collie and friendly and docile as can be. I do not remember a time in my life where there was not at least one dog in it, and I have owned as many as 4 dogs and 3 cats at one time. I absolutely love dogs and cats and am very aware of their body language since they can't speak the same way we do. I enjoy hiking and, if it is nice out, would most likely be taking our dogs on an easy hike at least once per day. I currently work from home, therefore, I can take them out for walks as needed, or just because we feel like going out to play for a bit. If at my home, I can go for frequent walks, take them to a dog park to play (if ok with the owner), and/or hikes.

I am home most days and nights full time. 3 of our kids homeschool, and assist with much of the work and care. I’ve cared for pets large and small, young and senior, my whole life. This is because I babysit multiple animals and I like to ensure the safety of everyone’s fur babies! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has truly become second nature. Over the years, we’ve lovingly cared for dogs with a variety of health needs, so administering medications (oral, topical, and even injections) and handling accidents is something we’re very comfortable with. When your furry friend stays with us, they’re treated like family. We go the extra mile to make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and right at home. You’ll receive daily photo updates and check ins, so you’ll never have to wonder how they’re doing. I’m a stay at home mom, and I’m home most days to monitor the house and care for the animals. I occasionally travel north for shopping or appointments, which can take me away for 2–4 hours, but unless there’s a family emergency, I’m always nearby to make sure everything stays safe and well looked after. I have a large fenced in yard for the animals to run around in. Two cats who also roam the yard and house and doesn't pay much mind to the other animals and are pretty good at avoiding dogs that are to interested in them! There are also several chickens that free roam during the day, but if your furry one struggles with them they wont mind spending some extra time in the coop! We have anywhere from 2-9 kids in the home or yard that also will give your furry loved one love and attention all day long! They are allowed anywhere we are! That means the bed, the couch, the bathroom floor, wherever is the most comfortable for them we don't mind!

Your dog will usually get a minimum of one walk a day... (usually on the Spanish Fork River Trail when weather permits) We will go out of our way to accommodate special requests when needed. A TYPICAL DAY: 7:00-8:30 a.m. interactive playtime (fetch, tug-of-war, etc. ) 8:30-9:00 a.m. morning feeding and rest 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. open playtime - we work while the dogs play. They come in an out freely while we supervise from our workstation. We group dogs as needed. They are out of the kennel interacting with dogs and people most of the day. In order for your dog to have a great experience, they need to play well with other dogs and be comfortable spending time in a kennel. SAFETY & TRUST: We have been trained in behavior recognition to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests. When we have multiple guests, we group dogs as needed (by age, size, "fixed" or not, temperament, and/or energy level) to optimize the experience for each guest. We feed them in a kennel to ensure food isn't shared and give them quiet time after meals to ensure they have adequate time to digest before playing again. We expect our guests to be up to date with their vaccinations. When a new dog arrives give them time to explore on their own, then we gradually introduce them to other dogs to assess temperament and compatibility. That is the reason we prefer to limit the pickup and dropoff windows so we can devote that critical time. Please see availability for more info on times. ENVIRONMENT: We have a dedicated space both indoors and outdoors for the dogs. Inside we have an air-conditioned apartment dedicated to the dogs. They have a couch, area rug, background music, and their own 4x4, 4x6, or 5x5 kennel. We reserve a corner for a workstation where we work during the day. Outside we have a fenced area for the dogs with turf and toys. We setup a canopy for extra shade on hot sunny days since we don't have natural shade from trees yet. We wet the turf down on hot days to ensure it's comfortable for the dogs as well.

“Annette and Bridgett are my new dog boarders! We’ve used tons of others in the past but moved and now needed new ones. They were so great and took Axel last minute, and I voiced my concerns dude to bad boarders in the past. They were so great and treated Axel as their own. Since it was his first stay with them they sent me all of the updates which I can appreciate. Nala and Axel played all day, they have a wonderful back yard, tons of toys, and let pets on furniture so he felt right at home. They are honestly amazing and I’m So grateful to have someone nearby to watch him! Don’t book them up too much but definitely know you can trust them with your fur baby”

“Chelsea was the best! I have a more anxious Boston terrier than definitely has some sass and Chelsea was so great with her! I am always nervous dropping my dogs off when we go on a trip, but day one my anxieties were eased. We were even able to have my dogs meet her and her pups prior to our trip. She gave great consistent updates every night with pictures and is very experienced with dogs (especially with sassy pups like mine). Both my dogs came home happy and tired and loved playing with her Great Danes!”

I would get texts and pictures a couple times a day that made our day to see and hear. She kept us posted on how our dogs did with her dog and toddler, which let me actually relax on our trip. “Michael had a great time at Cassandra's. I had given him a bath the night before and was happy to see that he didn't come home a stinky, dirty mess and it appears he got to be indoors -which I was very grateful for. Cassandra said she took him on a walk and that they had a good time. This was a last minute booking and I was grateful to have it work out so well. I would have liked a little more communication, as I have had from other sitters, but I think it went well.”
