I am work from home, with only daily school pick ups and drop offs. As a dog and cat owner myself, I know what you need for your furry friends. Because of this, I decided to try boarding with someone in their home to see if he handled it better. Selena and her family did a wonderful job caring for my cautious boy. They gave him time and space to adjust, ensured he was in a space he couldn't bolt out the front door (he's started doing this recently), and gave him love on his terms. About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life. Currently have a dog and two cats that I love to bits. I always find time to be out playing with my dog and keeping cats company when it comes to the night hours. I’m currently not working but I do have the transportation to get around for check ins on pets. I have free time on my hands at the moment so my schedule is really open to going in the morning, going in the afternoon, and going in the evening times before bedtime. I do not offer boarding in my own home, so being in the client's home I would be sure to introduce myself to the dogs, be outside while dogs are playing, and always attentive as to where an animal is within the house or backyard.

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have rescued most of them. I am able to be at home with them as I do not work outside the home and I am an empty nester. I have a beautiful energetic 2 year old golden to keep them company. I just lost our 15 year old dog so Raider would love the company. Your dog will be loved and treated like family. Raider says that’s a good thing. I have always been a stay at home mom. I am now an empty nester except for my dog Raider. I would be home most of the time with maybe the exception of errands here and there. I have a 4ft fenced yard with a pool for the dogs if they like to swim. They might prefer to be inside In the ac when it’s hot or heat when it’s cold and they will have plenty of room to roam around.

About: I am very picky when it comes to the care of my dogs. They have a specific routine and eating schedule. They are my babies and I care for them as I would care for myself. I will absolutely make sure to do the same for your fur babies as well. I am dedicated to making other owners feel safe just the same as I need when I have to be away from my babies. We enjoy going on long walks in the morning and in the evening when the sun begins setting in the heat of summer. In the cooler (not cold or freezing weather) seasons, we go on a mid-day walk and on the really pretty days we love to go for as many walks or adventures that we can. My babies usually get 2-4 20 to 30 minute walks per day, more activity outdoor time with beautiful weather. I have 2 dogs at home that eat, walk, play and relax on a routine. I have a safe and secure fenced in yard, but it is small. There is a dog park around the corner and lots of walking trails. I take my dogs on "adventures" and they do have seat belts to keep them safe in the car. Your pets would be a part of our family and I would have them on a similar schedule unless directed to do something different by you. I work less than a mile from my home and have cameras all over my house. I am able to be home within 5 minutes or less if needed when I am away. Walks, outside & play time are very dependent on the weather. We don't go outside in lightning at all or if it is raining weather we only go out back for potty breaks and I look at weather apps multiple times a day because I do have a sweet girl that does not handle storms well at all. We have a dog park in the neighborhood and great walking trails. We go on long adventures as much as possible as long as it is not too hot or cold. Paw pad inspections are done with my bare feet on the concreate before my babies are allowed to walk. My sweet girl is older, so Leia is not able to handle the heat like Kylo. I am also very mindful of this. Your babies would be treated as if they were my babies unless there are other things you need me to do that I am currently not doing for my own.
About: I am that person who just knows, where to scratch, what their favorite treat is, how to cuddle. Some how we fit instantly. I have personally owned and cared for puppies to senior dogs, along with ducks, chickens, horses, rabbits and small nocturnal animals. I was a little nervous leaving them for the first time and Claire eased my worries with pictures and texts. “Our car, Feta, doesn't enjoy staying at traditional boarding places. Lots of fighting taking his medication, "throwing hands," and glares in photos from the facility. Because of this, I decided to try boarding with someone in their home to see if he handled it better. Selena and her family did a wonderful job caring for my cautious boy. They gave him time and space to adjust, ensured he was in a space he couldn't bolt out the front door (he's started doing this recently), and gave him love on his terms. Photos showed a much less stressed cat than other attempts at boarding him. I really appreciate the great care you took of him.”
