“Barbara (Lynn) was open and friendly, she asked if it was okay to give Tobie a home-made treat. We talked about Tobie's routine and health so that there would be no surprises. I asked if she'd please bathe Tobie since Tobie had been in the desert in the dirt for a few days. Lynn obliged and sent a short video of Tobie celebrating with a race around the back yard. I appreciated the fact that the back yard was walled in so Tobie (who is an escape artist) couldn't see out and plan an escape. It was clear that Tobie was very happy there.”

“Beverly did a great job of communicating with us and providing pictures and updates on how our beagle was doing. Our beagle appeared to have enjoyed herself much more here than with some other places we have tried. She is a low energy dog and seemed to enjoy being able to find a spot and settle in for a nap like she would at home.”

“I am so happy to have had my dog stay with Claire, Craig, Scarlette and Penny. Her home and yard are ideal for dogs and Jake had a great time. It’s the first time I’ve ever left him overnight and Claire sent me texts and pictures to let me know he was doing great. I’ll definitely be back.”

“I was very anxious about leaving my 4 lb puppy with anyone. I found Shannon by chance on Rover. My Gigi stayed 4 days in Shannon's home. I couldn't believe the one on one attention she gave my Gigi. She sent frequent videos, pics and updates. It made us so happy and secure. It is obvious that she really cares about the animals on her care. She is amazing!!”

“Hello Jessica I am finally able to contact you. I’m sorry I got back to you late. I’m coming back to US tomorrow. I heard Toby looked so good. Thank you so much. Schedule for next week may be changed. I will contact you and check your availability whenever it’s confirmed. I will leave a review after I go back to home. Thank you again and have a good day!!”

“Tammy was very sweet. She took great care of my dogs. She also took them to the doggie park and sent me pictures while I was away. I would use her again. Thank you Tammy (her doggie was very cute too!)”
“Michele was very attentive and sent us lots of pictures to keep up with what the dogs were doing. They seemed to have a great time in the big back yard. We will be using Michele again and we’re so happy to have a great option close to our house.”

“Nancy was an MVP taking care of my dog. Nancy was super kind with my dog, she walked my dog as she needed, also my dog was able to stay in Nancy's furniture like the sofa and the bed, my dog enjoys those places. I highly recommend her to sit your pet.”

“Courtney and her family were amazing with our pup while we were away for the weekend. They treated her like one of their own—even letting her sleep in their bed! We felt completely at ease knowing she was in such loving hands.”

“Lotty had a great time with Claudette & Patrick. She was so well taken care of and we will definitely have Lotty stay with them again in the future. I highly recommend!! Thank you Claudette & Patrick!”

“Selena was awesome! I have had my goldendoodle at her place twice so far. Once over the long Thanksgiving break and once with a really short notice over the weekend. Both times, she’s been amazing. She responds to texts and calls. Provides updates, sends videos and photos. Thank you Selena!”

“Rhonda was so good to our boys! She sent us pictures the whole time we were away. She spoiled them just like her own. We will definitely use Rhonda for our future bookings!”

“Janet was so lovely! This was my first time using Rover as an owner instead of a sitter, and I knew my dog was in good hands based on Janet’s great communication - she was able to help us out in a pinch and pick our girl up from somewhere else while we were gone. From one sitter to another, I highly recommend Janet and am so thankful for her help!”

“Carolyn was amazing with our sweet Harper! We even had to extend d our trip several data and she was so accommodating. She sent lots of pictures and was always ready with info at check ins. It is extremely obvious Harper got a lot of love while she stayed with Carolyn. We will absolutely be using her again when we are in town!”

“Fantastic sitter who truly cares for your furry family. When we picked up our dogs and they were content to stay and get more belly rubs and snuggles from Stephanie; that’s when you know your pets have been treated right! :) They had a blast and I would use her again in a heartbeat.”

“Yogi had the best time! Rachel sent photos and videos of Yogi playing and having fun with her little ones. When we need a rover in the future, we will definitely use Rachel again!”

“As always Destiny was amazing at communicating and being helpful when we wanted to pick up Kit early💕 So blessed!!! Reggie her husband is kind and accommodating as well! Great home away from home for Kit!!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
