“Molly actually belongs to my 85 year old friend who doesn’t do computers or cell phones but still wanted to express her gratitude. This is Molly’s second stay with Kristen and her family and they have been amazing to her. Her first visit was for a week when Kristen was out of town but Kristen’s step dad willingly kept her anyways. Molly is never far from my friend’s side and hadn’t had a lot of experience with other dogs so we were anxious to leave her. Within an hour of drooping her off he’d already sent us a picture. He babied her the whole week and documented her stay with texts and beautiful picture updates. My friend is a hard person to please and after she brought Molly home she told me that she thought Molly was a little lonely for her sitter and their dogs. :0) We booked this stay on the same day we dropped Molly off. My friend got sick and needed to go to the hospital but she would not go until I contacted Kristen in regards to Molly. So we contacted Kristen at 7pm and again they willingly accepted her even though Kristen told me they already had a full house. She also didn’t mind that we would book from day to day since we didn’t know how long my friend would be in the hospital. We are so grateful to Kristen and her family. They are wonderful pet people!”

“Sue was great with Max! Loved the e-mails and pics of him that we received while we were gone. While we were gone, I could feel good about him because he wasn't locked up in some cage at the vet's for hours at a time. He had freedom to walk around and play with Sue's dogs and could even sleep with her. Although I'm sure he missed us, I just as sure that he had a good time also. About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!

“My Bailey's home away from home!! Ok so a little background- my dog Bailey is a rescue who was physically abused by her previous owner. For this reason, she is utterly terrified of new people because she has a natural distrust for people following early life events. Kristen and her family originally spent time coming to my house to walk Bailey and spend time with her, and Bailey had been doing well with the new dog walkers! However, after learning about Bailey's concerns, Kristen thought it may improve Bailey's situation to have her spend the day at doggy daycare, and let me tell you, she and her family have done an amazing job taking care of Bailey!!! I've never seen her so happy every day when I come to pick her up (and probably even more happy to be dropped off :P). It's only been a few weeks and I can already tell Kristen and her family are making her feel at home away from home, and carefully allowing her to interact with other dogs and humans when Bailey is ready. I've been absolutely overjoyed seeing her improvement in socialization skills, and, really, just how happy and comfortable she is; makes my day! On a side note, following several meetings with a Behavioralist, I'm actively training her to help improve her anxiety and fear toward people. Kristen understands how important this is and has been ensuring Bailey is trained (in the same way I'm training her for continuity sake) while at doggy daycare, since I don't have the opportunity to train her several times throughout the day during the work week. Her obedience has improved, and better yet, she's starting to see new people with a different outlook; she's excited to make new friends! Thank you Kristen!!”

I work from home full-time, so I’m home and available most of the day! Dogs in my care get a balanced routine with plenty of playtime, outdoor breaks, and rest time throughout the day. I love going on long walks or just hanging out with a pup who needs a potty break and some cuddles. At my house, things are really set up for daycare and boarding. The guest room is a cozy little doggy space - air-conditioned, comfy, and honestly kind of like a mini hotel. About: Growing up in the Hill Country, my family always had at least 4 pets at any given time. Usually no less than three dogs. I also volunteer at the San Antonio Humane Society when I can! Now, living in the city I don't have a dog of my own and am missing having a furry friend! This is not just a side gig for me but a way to be able to enjoy the company of my favorite furry friends! I'm currently in between work so I can dedicate my full schede to watching over your pets. Ideally, I'd like to find remote work so I can still look over your pets. First and foremost I give lots of love and attention! I have and do volunteer for SAHS and agree with most if not all of their policies on dog care. This means no use of fear, pain, hitting, or similar corrective actions. These behaviors have shown to suppress behavior without actually teaching the dog what you want and can create anxiety and even aggression. Dogs and cats have been a part of my life since I was a baby so I'm pretty familiar with their body language and try to be mindful of their needs. I consider them part of the family and usually treat them as such by ensuring they have a comfortable and pleasant environment. I think establishing a "safe place" for your pets to retreat to when they are feeling anxious is a great way to build strong bonds. My mom's dog, bullet, has one of the worst cases of ADHD I've seen in a dog and when he's feeling overwhelmed by too many guests in the house or strange weather, he likes to disappear deep into my mom's walk in closet.

Orlando was in constant communication with us including videos and pics. When we discussed Luca's eating habits he went and got raw meat for him and hand fed him when needed.
