I have a Boxer rescue that is still having issues with pulling while going for a walk, so I let her decide if she wanted to take her on a walk vs. backyard only playtime and she did wonderful! With the help of her husband, our sweet Xena and Honey got to go on a walk. Ruth and her husband have a beautiful, clean and spacious home within minutes of our home! Xena & Honey even had playtime with her sweet boy, Niko, and they all played and had a great time. Ruth sent pictures and updates regularly and made us feel at ease and happy knowing they were having fun and behaving. We all know that both kids and our furkids can misbehave or act out at times when parents are away, so I'm impressed to see all went well. I absolutely love this Rover service and Ruth's kindness of loving animals. Best part about the whole experience is that we didn't have to take them to a kennel to be locked up all day in a cage, minus regular potty breaks and expensive add-on playtime of course. About: I’ve had animals my whole entire life, I grew up with a lot of siblings which meant even more animals. My love for animals goes beyond, I will say I’m terrified of insects but I like to be kind to ALL and will do everything to protect them and get them somewhere safe. my animals are my absolute world, all my animals are rescues, I’ve always had a hard time saying no to an animals asking to be loved/cared for. I have done several successful TNR’s for cats in neighborhoods I’ve lived in, along with taking dogs/cats to vets and animal shelters and trying to help them be reunited with family/finding a forever home, always trying to help save as many as I can. I currently have one pup, 5 cats that live inside and 2 outside cats. I’m a US Army Veteran of the Iraq War, 2014 Texas A&M graduate, currently enrolled in an online graduate program through Texas Tech for Clinical Rehab Counseling. My goal is to work with other Veterans when I graduate. I walk multiple Rover doggos every morning and evening, and even weekends. I’ve sat for disabled dogs, older dogs, young and hyper dogs. I’ve sat for and walked dogs in apartments, gated communities, even a senior living facility. And I’m ready to go above and beyond. I helped a client who had surgery by taking their dog to the vet. If I can do it, I will help. I have a big heart for pets. They love us unconditionally after all. They deserve it. I want dogs to have fun on their walks, not feel like they just get what they can get out of them. I let them sniff around, look at ducks or squirrels, mark, all while maintaining safe boundaries for your pet and other pedestrians and pets. Someone who is reliable, trustworthy with your home and pets, and who meets and exceeds your expectations and instructions. I once hired a sitter who didn’t realize I had a camera in my den. She spent 95% of the time I paid for to give my dogs some attention on her phone. She even swatted away my dogs when they approached! Then snapped some pics, fed them and left. I NEVER want my clients to feel that way. I will treat your pets the way I would hope people would treat my own.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets since I was a little girl. I’m used to all breeds of dogs and own one from another country. I also own reptiles and a cat and truly appreciate taking care of them as family members. I’m currently working part-time from home/phone, so I have plenty of time to take care of pets. Most of my work is done by phone or computer, so working away from home will not be an issue. I have three dogs in my home that are very friendly with other dogs. I can visit your home, walk and play with your pet, and put them in their crates or room if you need.
About: I grew up with dogs since I was about 6 years old. Being the only child I have always grew up with pets in the home! I love walking, playing, and loving on animals. From dog to cat or cat to dog. I’ve had Yorkies to pits to German shepherds. I have also watched family and friend animals along the way. Even neighbors has trusted me to watch their pups while they are on vacations. I can also feed, bathe, and medicate the pet if needed. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine since I work remotely and have a flexible schedule. I can prioritize feeding, walks, and playtime while balancing my work responsibilities. In my home the dogs will always be monitored. I can accommodate for an older animal or a hyper animal who likes to run around. I live in a house and have a spacious back yard which is a good walk for the pups & great exercise for older pups.
“Esmeralda has been exceptional with her patience and willingness to be adaptable in working with our 2 dogs. Both have big trust issues and are very nervous to allow new people around them. She has devoted a lot of her extra time to make sure they get and feel comfortable with her. That being said, she has relieved a lot of stress and concern on my end for I want my dogs to feel as little anxiety and fear as possible as well as benefit from having the ability to go outside and go for a walk and get some fresh air. I hope Esmeralda can be a part of our household as long as possible and enjoys the dogs as much as I enjoy having her help.”
